March

 March came in like a lion and went out like a... wet lion. I still have to blog about my last ride with Geneva, but I'm otherwise mostly caught up.

We had some pretty wild sunsets this month.

Jeff and Evelyn came to NJ for Jeff's birthday and we all went out to dinner. This strawberry mule was delicious.

This is one of Julio's new friends, Toucan Sam.

I am forever obsessed with stormy skies and long shadows.

I do still ride Lucy.

Mike made skirt steak pinwheels and they were delicious.

Longer days means more basking in the sunshine for this old man.

Spotted on my way to the vet with Julio.

Came outside one night to spot an ambulance out front. They also had a Land Rover Discovery that the EMS department apparently won in a contest last year. We asked if everything was ok and they said they were "staging a scene down the street". I wasn't worried about it til people commented on FB. They eventually drove away without lights or sirens and there was nothing on the news or in the police blotter after that so I'm just going to move on haha.

Since the time change, I've had enough daylight to potentially trail ride after work. However, we've had constant rain so the days when the ground is dry enough are few and far between. Still, we've moseyed around Pine Twig a few times, which Lucy seems to enjoy.

Everybody got feet and teeth done, plus round two of spring shots.

Julio faithfully keeps me company at work every day.

When I put Booger back to work after the ride, I did it in harness first. We just did a light 15 minute drive and she was springy and happy.

Miss Mila is happy to have her mom home.

This is not what I wanted to see after our ride. This was  few days after the vet and dentist came out. At first I was worried about a sinus infection, but it's more likely a cold. She's on meds and all of the other horses seem to be doing fine so far, but it threw a wrench in the rest of our month.
