Let’s do a give-away!

Oh, I reached 10.000 visitors today!
That’s worth celebrating isn’t it?
I think I will give away a pair of cuffs!

Browse the blog (you can use the label cloud) and check out which
cuffs you like the most. The bead-knitted ones made of NZ merino?
With skulls? Or a zig-zag pattern? Or the frilly ones made of hand-spun merino,
spun by my clever sister MiA? Or maybe the stripy ones?

Leave me a comment and let me know which ones are your favourite cuffs
and you might win them!

I will draw the winner on Tuesday 24 July, 9pm NZ time.

Please note, some of the cuffs were one-offs and I might not
have them anymore or be able to replicate them. If that’s the
case the winner will have to pick another pair.

Second cuff syndrome

Some sock knitters suffer from Second sock syndrome.
You know – it’s so exciting to knit the first sock, to see how
the yarn will come out and what it will feel like. But, well,
when it’s time for the second one the novelty is gone...

I’m not a sock knitter but I suffer from Second cuff syndrome.
I have so many ideas for bead-knitted patterns that I want to try
and the first cuff is so exciting! I try to fool myself by knitting
quite a few ‘first ones’ so that the excitement comes back again
for the second one and, yup, it kind of works!

I have been good and finished some

Cuffs are a great way to stay warm during the winter!
And they look fab too, don’t they?

Super chunky

I have added some yummy, super chunky merino/alpaca to my range.
70% merino and 30% alpaca makes it very soft and little bit fluffy.
It's nice and thick so you need 12mm at least to knit it.

I dyed some of the skeins stripy – looks pretty cool doesn't it?
And check out my brand new 12mm knit-pro tips!
They are divine to use!

I have listed 10 skeins in my felt shop.

Stripy yarn

I have been dyeing stripy sock yarn for 6 months now
and it's proving very popular.

Stripy yarn is so handy, you get stripy socks
without having to do all the ends!

A couple of weeks ago I dyed some 8ply merino stripy.

And I have now had a little play with making fingerless mittens.
They are still lacking the thumb part, but they will soon be finished.

I will have them ready-made and as a kit (yarn and pattern),
if you would like to knit your own ones.
