Knitted art

A few weeks ago I was commissioned to knit a piece of art for a Swedish magazine (Magasinet Filter).

Tadaaa! Here it is!

The copy reads:

June/July according to Knitty Graffity aka Helene Dehmer

Knitty Graffity aka Helene Dehmer is a Swedish crafter living in New Zealand. This summer she will celebrate World Wide Knit in Public Day by spreading colurful, knitted graffiti starting Saturday 8 June.

I sold some love

Today I sold ‘Aroha’.
It’s a bit sad that it’s gone but it went to a good home,
so I’m happy about that.

Happy couple

I have spent many hours lately working on two pieces for an exhibition.
It’s called ‘Vantage Point’ and it’s the annual member’s exhibition
at Depot Artspace here in Devonport.

My pieces are beadknitted on hand-dyed cotton and the diptych is called
