Pinkfresh Studio: Simple & Sweet Summer Days!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back for more fresh & fabulous Pinkfresh Studio inspiration!
For today's post I am sharing all the 8.5" x 11" scrapbook layout love with the divine
Simple & Sweet collection!
Hope you enjoy seeing what I've created!
First up is this minty delight,
" Beautiful, Happy Memories"

Beautiful happy memories, indeed! Aren't they just the sweetest together?!
I just adore the simplicity of this design! So clean, and concise - all about my precious photograph!
I am also loving that refreshing color scheme, and those pretty floral layers!
I start with an 8.5" x 11" base with reverse side of pattern paper, GOOD COMPANY (that mint color is just divine!!!), and I layer it with a 7.5" x 10" white cardstock base. I stitch the two layers together, and then build up my page.
Let's take a closer look....

So much pretty here!
On careful inspection, you'll spot the gorgeous Emerald City Liquid Watercolor (which I have watered down immensely) forming a striped, freshmint base for my photo cluster. To this, I add those blue floral Die Cuts, and a fussy cut tag from pattern paper FRESH AIR.

My photo is embellished with that fabulous STITCHED FRAME, and that striking DIE CUT black heart with gold foil dots. In keeping with the gold embellishments, you'll also spy scattered GOLDEN ACCENT PUFFY STICKER hearts.  SO good!
I embellish the photo frame with that sweet PUFFY STICKER heart, and then use the PUFFY STICKER words to create my vertical title.

For finishing touches, I stitch the DIE CUT labels to the top of my page, and embellish with a CHIPBOARD STICKER sentiment. Voila!
So cool and refreshing!

My second layout is warm, citrus-y sweet & just screams Summer....
"Sunkissed"

Isn't this gorgeous?!
Summer days never looked so pretty!
I've kept with the soft mint highlights, but opted for a brighter color scheme with those sweet lemons! Most of the lemons have been fussy cut from pattern paper, LEMON LUSH, but you'll also spy a few DIE CUTS & a PUFFY STICKER too!
Like my previous layout, I have adorned my photograph with a fabulous STITCHED FRAME, as well as layered fussy cut labels from pattern paper FRESH AIR beneath it all too. So cool!
Here's a closer look....

I've made use of as many of the yellow PUFFY STICKERS as I could, as well as scattering mint ENAMEL DOTS throughout my design too! I've foam mounted my gold foil DIE CUT title to add emphasis and interest to my page.

To create balance, I anchor my design with that rectangle CHIPBOARD STICKER. I love how such a simple embellishment can bring it all together - just incredible!

Such a pretty page for my pretty girl!
And there you have it!
My Simple & (oh-so) Sweet takes on 8.5" x 11" layouts for Pinkfresh Studio!
I hope they have inspired you to get creating with this gorgeous Summer line!

Pebbles: New Year's Resolutions with Happy Hooray!

Hi Paper Loving Friends!
I trust that you all had a very Merry Christmas and are now preparing for all the New Year festivities!
One of my resolutions this year is to inspire my daughter with a new scrapbook album that offers inspiration, affirmations and general messages for strength and gratitude. For the first page of her album, I wanted to remind her of her own resolutions for the year; to be brave, live fully and be bold!

The Pebbles Happy Hooray collection is so bright, and playful, and just perfect for this happy message layout!

Isn't this fabulous?! Live (color)fully, I say!
I begin my layout with that fabulous diagonal stripe paper, Rainbowtastic! I trim this paper to the 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch size, and then cut my white cardstock to 7 1/2 inch by 10 inch. Before I attach the two sheets together, I use the Silhouette Cameo Sketch Pens to draw my title in pink ink.
I then hand colour my sketch pen title with watercolor paints, which I try to color match with the patterned paper. I add a gentle flick of pink and blue paint for interest.
Once dry, I use my sewing machine to stitch the cardstock to the pattern paper.

I embellish the top of my layout with the Thicker Stickers banners, as well as that super cute Die Cut speech bubble! And decorate the title with a couple Die Cut stars.

My photo is 2 1/2 inch by 3 inch size, and is mounted onto pattern papers, Beary Sweet and Eat Cake. I partially secure it down with a strip of the rainbow striped Happy Hooray Washi Tape, and use my favourite Sticky Thumb Marathon Runner tape to finish the job.
Foam Dots are added to my sentiment Die Cut, and positioned onto my photograph as a subtitle. Celebrate life!
And nothing says celebrate more than scattered confetti sprinkles!
(aren't those Enamel Sprinkle Stickers the best?!!!)
My final touch is to use my Typecast Typewriter to print my 'be bold' sentiment. Perfect!

Such a beautiful page for my darling daughter! I hope it has inspired you to start thinking of your resolutions for 2018, and how to document them.

Happy New Year!

Thanks for stopping by!

Holiday Happenings!

Suggested ideas:

 December holidays
Pictures of holiday décor (lights, tree, menorah, etc.),
Favorite gift
 Holiday menu
 Cookie decorating
 Gingerbread houses
Winter activities

Here's what I created,

"Believe"

Oh isn't he just adorable?!!
Love this lil guy (& the cute story behind this darling photograph!)
The short version is that Mister A for Awesome discovered a love of peppermint candy canes last year - only he called them Santa's Walking Sticks! Lol, so cute!

I have used the fun and festive FaLaLa collection from Crate Paper for my 8.5 x 11" layout today.
I drew on the reds in this line because of the candy canes, but also as it's his favourite colour.
How gorgeous are the Die Cut snowflakes?!

I layered my die cut snowflake with a Chipboard Sticker snowflake - love how effective this looks!
& then repeated this look for my candy canes.....

Just gorgeous!
How awesome is that Tinsel Tassel embellishment?!!

Loving those snowflakes!

And there you have it!
My take on this month's New Issue!
I hope I have inspired you to play along!
