Lots of Fun in the Fall and Winter of 2011

This last fall and winter have been very busy times and we have been very blessed to have some wonderful experiences with our friend and family

Visit by David and Claudia Warner and Trip to Idaho.

We were able to have a visit from David and Claudia Warner to Utah and then to Idaho to see the family relatives there over General Conference. Here is a picture of a dinner we had in Salt Lake City.
The next part of the trip was in Idaho, where we picked up some prime Idaho potatoes. Here is Sandra doing the inspection and selection.
The next week we were off to watch soccer games for Brigham, Alicia, Isaac, Josh, and Kail.

It was a busy weekend

We were also able to celebrate Alicia's birthday at Red Robbins.

Disney Cruise to Mexico with the Brown Family.

Over UEA we had a great trip with the Brown family on a Disney Cruise. Lots of time with characters.

Both Mickey and Minnie mouse.

and Goffey

Time for swimming.

and more swimming.

and of course waiting in line - this is Disney. Here is the line for the princess greeting.

You also need to watch out for pirates.

It was a lot of fun and a beautiful ship.

Birth of Clara Shamo.

While we were on the cruise Clara Shamo was born in Connecticut.

She is a beautiful baby.

The day after we got home from the cruise, Sandra left for Connecticut to help Janae. She was there for the power outage. You will need to see Janae's blog to get the full picture of this event. By the way, Sandra had a cold and was cold all the time she was in Connecticut.

Thanksgiving in Utah.

We had a great Thanksgiving with Clint carving the turkey.
We had a big group with Karen and Brandon coming from Seattle withe Brown, Halverson, and Morris families joining us as well.

Lots of fun for everyone.

Karen Plaster shower for the two boys.

Karen is currently expecting twin boys. She was here for a shower. However, first we needed to do some post-Thanksgiving shopping.

There were a lot of helpers for the shower.

Karen received a beautiful quilt from Janae.

She had a lots of friends and family at the shower.

and more family, here is Grandma Cannon and Margaret.

After the shower, we were able to go out to dinner at the Gateway.

and shop for hats.

Trip to Connecticut for Clara's Blessing.

The first weekend in December, we went to Connecticut for Clara's blessing. I got to act as a "dental assistant" with a giant oral suction tube for Rick as he drilled in the wall - just like drilling teeth!
The evening before, we were able to go out to dinner. Here is Clara after her bath on her blessing day. Everyone is ready for the big day.
it is a beautiful family. Here is Clara on the way to church. Here is Clara after the blessing and ready to party. It was a great day. Here are the proud grandparents.

The next big event was Sandra's total knee replacement surgery on December 8, 2012

We do not have any pictures, but Sandra had surgery and did very well, although it involved a lot of rehabilitation and work on her part. She had a lot of help from her family - particularly Nancy and Barbara who were able to help her out - as well as her daughters. I did not take any picture (yet) but her scar is beautiful!
Christmas 2011

We also had a great Christmas which Sandra organized well before her surgery and we enjoyed everything. Here is Sandra after her surgery and ready for Christmas. Notice the beautiful and stylish white socks.
Suzanne and Scott were there.

Isaac and Lisa

Chris, and Liz, and her new d0ll.

We were able to chat with Karen and Brandon in Seattle

We were able to chat with Janae and Clara as well. Rick was at work all day

Here we are with one of our favorite presents - a family year in review with pictures.

It was a a great Christmas.

The final event of the year was Isaac's baptism.

Here is the handsome young man. After the baptism we had a large pizza party at Isaac's house.

We then had some gifts and a lot of fun as Isaac celebrated his 8th birthday and baptism.
Conclusion.

We have had a great year with some wonderful events. We are truly blessed in our lives. I hope we can always appreciate these wonderful blessings.
