Trip to Florida and the CaribbeanWe had a great family trip at the first part of this month. We first made a visit to the
Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Florida. We met Karen and Brandon in Orlando. We then drove to the space center and had a great visit to this facility. It is a place I had always wanted to go and it was fascinating.
Here is the end of a Saturn Rocket.

Here are Brandon and Grant getting ready for an Apollo
launch.

Here is Brandon, Karen, Sandra, and Grant with a member of the staff at the center.
Freedom of the Seas. On September 4, we boarded the Freedom of the Seas for a seven day cruise in the Caribbean.

At the cruise terminal.

Our first stop was at
Labadee, Haiti - essentially a private beach.

Here is Sandra on the beach in Haiti.

The second stop was
Falmouth, Jamaica. It was a nice terminal, but we essentially got off the ship and then were "back to the ship."

The third stop was at Georgetown, Grand Cayman. This was a great stop. We did some shopping. Sandra bought a new hat!

Here is Sandra in her new hat on the way to Stingray city.

Here is Brandon with a Stingray.

Here is Grant with a stingray getting some instruction from our guide.

On the way back to the our guide got some star fish for us.

Here is Sandra with the star fish.

The last stop was Cozumel.

Of course, the best part of the trip was the ship. There was a large inner court.

The best feature on the boat was a "F
lowrider" which produced a simulated surfing wave. It was a lot of fun and Brandon became an expert at riding the wave over the course of the trip. Be sure to see the video at the end of the blog.

The next best thing after the flow rider was of course the food.

Here is Karen and Brandon in the dining room with as well.

We had a great room and a wonderful room steward who made us towel animals each day. Here is the monkey.

Here are Brandon and Karen outside the dining room.

Here is a full view of the dining room.

Our biggest purchase on the trip was the following tee shirts.

Here are the people with more knowledge than Google.

We had a great trip.

It was a challenge to leave the beautiful Caribbean to come home. Here is a view of the sunrise on the ship.

Be sure to check out the videos of Brandon on the flow rider.
Here is a post of Brandon doing the Boggie board demonstration on the last day on the ship. Notice the crowd and their reactions.

lowrider.
