And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, and to love kindness
and mercy, and to humble yourself and walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

Throwback Thursday - Surprise Box

Hello friends!  It's time for another Throwback Thursday over at Divinity Designs and the feature for today is the Surprise Box Dies.

Creative Nugget:  The Surprise Box Dies were used to cut the box from black card stock and the panel layers from papers from the Pretty Pink Peonies Collection.  The center of the box was filled with grass cut with the Grass Border Die.  MOM was cut with the Long & Lean Letters and suspended from the box on strips of acetate.  The butterflies and sentiment are from The Greatest Gift Stamp/Die Duo.  The butterflies were stamped and cut from paper smooshed with Distress Oxide Inks.  They were also suspended from the box with strips of acetate.  Rectangle and Scalloped Rectangle dies were used to cut and frame the sentiment.  An organdy bow was added to finish the box which collapses flat for mailing.

You Are the World

Hello friends!  Since Mother's Day is only a week away, I decided to share a couple of Mother's Day Cards.  My first card features a Double Gate Fold with interlocking pieces using The Greatest Gift Stamp/Die Duo by Our Daily Bread Designs.

Creative Nugget:  After constructing the card base, beautiful papers from the Beautiful Blooms Paper Pad were used to line each of the panels.  The Lattice Background Die was used to cut the lattice panel which was cut in half and attached to each side of the front.  The butterflies were stamped, colored with Copic Markers, and cut with the coordinating dies included with The Greatest Gift Stamp/Die Duo Set.  Only one half of each butterfly was attached to the card so they could interlock. The sentiment was embossed on a die cut Pennant Flag.

The card opens to reveal another wonderful sentiment from the stamp set and another butterfly.

My Mother-in Law will be receiving this card on Mother's Day!

My second card was made for the Throwback Thursday Feature on the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog.  This week we were showcasing the Log Cabin Quilt Die.

Creative Nugget:  The Log Cabin Quilt was created with papers from the Beautiful Blooms Paper Pad.  A Beautiful Border was added above and below the quilt.  A pierced heart from the Alphabet Accessories Dies was added to the middle along with a sentiment from The Greatest Gift Stamp/Die Duo.

These cards will be submitted for the following challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you were inspired o make something special for Mother's Day!

Welcome to the ODBD April 2018 Release

Good morning, friends and welcome to the Our Daily Bread Designs April Release.  The stamps and dies being released are perfect for Mother's Day, Father's Day AND masculine and feminine cards needed throughout the year.

Let's take care of Mother's Day first.  My first sample uses the new The Greatest Gift Stamp/Die Duo.

Creative Nugget:  Papers from the Shabby Rose Paper Pad were used to create this Mother's Day card.  The panels of paper were cut with a Pierced Rectangle Die and were stitched to a matching piece of card stock.  A Beautiful Border die cut separate the two panels.  A frame was cut with the Large Banners Dies and was backed with a piece of vellum.  The butterflies from The Greatest Gift Stamp/Die Duo were white embossed on the patterned paper and cut with the coordinated dies.  Sentiments were embossed on a Fancy Circle die cut and a Double Stitched Pennant Flag die cut.    Sequins were added to finish the card.

The Timeless Tote, Timeless Tote Layers, and Petite Pocketbook Dies can be used to make accessories to match the card and are just right for tucking away a little gift or gift card.

Now let's take care of the fishermen in the family.  The new Great Catch Stamp/Die Duo is perfect for masculine cards.

Creative Nugget: The Sunburst Background Die was used to cut and emboss a piece of mixed media paper and distress inks were sponged on the panel while it was still in the die.  Distress Oxide inks were used to create the water panel which was cut with a Leafy Edged Border Die.  The Salted Background Technique found HERE gave this panel some texture and a stencil was used to add some wavy shapes to the water.  Copic Markers were used to color the fish from the Great Catch Stamp/Die Duo and the lure was hung with metallic thread.  The sentiment was embossed on a Double Stitched Pennant Flag die cut to finish the card.

These new products from the Our Daily Bread Designs Store were used to create the cards above...

Be sure to check out the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog, Facebook Page, and Instagram to see more beautiful samples created by the Breadbasket Designers using products from the April release.
