Desk Top Set - Desk Top Receipt File

-Sometimes it's hard to find a good desk top set that isn't the usual, black, brown or silver. You can make your own and make it any colour or style you want!

And here you can see the boxes opened.

This set includes a receipt and mail file, a pen & pencil box with magnetic closure, a scrap paper note keeper, and a dual holder for either post-it-notes or a small paper pad.

The collection used is from the past Upsy Daisy company titled 'Enchantment'. A lovely line of papers. I've used it before in a masculine vintage layout, and would love to make a feminine layout using the same papers, but not sure if there will be enough left after this project.

I'm going to split this project up into 3 or 4 posts so that this isn't so long. Each box in this set is constructed from scratch using medium weight chipboard. So let's begin with the desk top quick receipt and mail file.

You can label the tabs as you wish. I labeled mine Debit Receipts, Credit Card Receipts, Transportation Receipts (I use the bus so this is handy for me), Medical/Dental Receipts, & Work Expenses. I'm sure this will take my piles of receipts everywhere and keep them handy in one place. Long overdue since I've moved to Victoria.

I used this wonderful Tab punch from We Are Memory Keepers for all of the tabs on the file folders I made. They have 3 others - index, circle, & bracket tabs.

in the making of this box I covered the inside with the very pale lavender and the outside has the same patterned paper 3 sides and bottom, with the accent paper on the front. You can see a little of the other paper in this next photo.

This is the inside of the file box without all the files in it.

Here are what the files look like.

All but the 'Mail' divider are file folders with an accordion fold at the bottom to allow widening at the base.

Thank you for stopping by to see the first piece in this series of the desk set. Tomorrow I'll post the 'Scrap Paper Note Keeper' so check in again for the net few days to see the rest of this desk top set.

Happy Crafting everyone!

Lots of Layers

I had fun with layering on this card. I inked the edges of the white mat, and the scalloped circle with distress ink and embossed the red mat and the small white heart using Swiss Dots embossing folder, I embossed the black mat using the Heart Block folder. The white circle was cut using my Cricut from a previous project. (Love left over scraps) I think I should have left the ribbon off :(

Be My Valentine

I like overall how this card turned out but messed up on my placement of the ribbon :( oh well, as my fellow crafters would say "It's handmade" ;)

I had fun using my distress ink around the edges of the scalloped circle, I haven't used this technique in some time. I love these little birds and finally got to use them :)

Trick or Treat

This year for Halloween I made homemade chocolates for the students in my son and daughters classes. I packaged the treats using the following supplies:

For my daughters class of 29 students I put the chocolates in clear bags and cut out labels on my Cricut from the Accent Essentials cartridge.

I used the following supplies from PTI:
-Friendship JarFall Fillers Stamp Set
-Just the ticket Boarder Die
I folded the labels in half and stapled the tags on the labels through the bags.

I made gift boxes for my sons class as there are only seven kids in his class.

I used the following PTI supplies:
Favor it Box #1
Friendship JarFall Fillers Stamp Set
Just the ticket Boarder Die
Mat Stack #1 Die
Back ground stamped on the mat stack using Everyday Treats stamp set
I used Kraft paper for the favor box, and orange zest for the mat stack, and Plum pudding paper for the ticket.

For the Trick or Treaters I put candies into clear bags and cut out labels on my Cricut from the Accent Essentials cartridge.

Thank You Cards

I wanted to make small thank you cards to express my appreciation to all those that came to my sons 3rd Birthday. This year he started his School for Children with Disabilities (Seth has Global Developmental Delay, he cant walk or talk yet) and has made some great friends that shared his special day with him, along with many others we have know for some time :)

The makings for the cards are all Pti unless otherwise stated and are as follows:

I made 8 cards out of 3 sheets of Stamper's Select white cardstock

I stamped the balloons, and Thank You sentiment using Up Up and Away stamp set, and cut out using coordinating die.

I stamped the Jar and cut out using Frienship Jar stamp set and coordinating die.

I stamped the images and sentiment with a Memento black ink pad.

I used the above 4 copics to color the balloons.
