Blossom with Belles n Whistles

It's a new challenge at Belles n Whistles - and what we are looking for are flowers on a shaped (not square) card. My sweet card is made using a Fairy Nice Flower stamp and Echo Park's Little Girl paper. I cut my card out using one of the Grand Spellbinders dies (my favorite way to make shaped cards). The flowers were made using Punch Bunch flower punches and Core'dinations cardstock. You have two weeks to play along with the BnW challenge, for your chance to win a stamp of your choice.

Sketch Challenge at Belles n Whistles

Good morning! I just wanted to share my card for the new challenge at Belles n Whistles! I used one of our new stamps, A Blossom for You.

My papers are new from Cosmo Cricket. I just love this vintage feel. You have two weeks to play along with us, for your chance to win a BnW stamp of your choice.

The Beary Scrap - Things with Wings

For the rest of April, the Beary Scrap's challenge is to use something with wings. The DT was also challenged to use a feather on our card. I used the gorgeous new Cosmo Cricket paper - Social Club. Now, one of the designs does have a peacock feather on it - and I thought about letting that count as my feather, but I decided why not add a real peacock feather? The stamp is a new image from Belles n Whistles Fairy Friends collection - Lily Pad Dreams. I colored her with Copics and added Stickles to her wings for some shine.

So we would love to have a great project fly to us from your blog! There are so many possibilities - birds, butterflies, fairies - even some great Steampunk designs! So get creative and join the fun!

Flower Soft - Garden Theme

There is a new challenge up at Flower Soft - and it's super easy! It's a garden theme. Just be sure to use either Flower Soft or a FS product in order to be eligible for the prize of 4 pots of Flower Soft of your choice.

I used all kinds of colors of Flower Soft on this Wishes Stamp from Belles n Whistles. Adding different colors for flowers and leaves, it really gave the illusion of wildflowers. I also added some FS to the butterfly's body.

Belles n Whistles - Vintage

I think the anything but winter challenge last time at Belles n Whistles really worked! This weekend, we had 65 degree weather - and it was marvelous! But now that that challenge is over, we have a new one for you, or should I say an old one....as in vintage! I had so much fun with this one, by pulling out vintage sewing remnants from my Great-grandmother. I know that Tanya Baking is actually cooking, and not sewing - but don't they really kind of go hand in hand? And besides, she looked so cute on the Material Girl paper by Cosmo Cricket.

I hope that you will play along with this fun challenge - and I also wanted to remind you that you can now use any Elisabeth Bell image to play in our challenges.

Belles n Whistles - Anything But Winter!

I think we have the right idea over at Belles n Whistles - We are all getting sick and tired of all this snow and cold weather! So our challenge to you is to show us anything other than winter.

I made a very cheerful, and springy card using Kneeling Belle . My papers are from Echo Park - Life is Good. It just cheered me up using these great colors!

We hope you will play along with us - You can win your choice of BnW stamps!

Belles n Whistles - Sparkly Christmas

It's time for a new challenge at the Belles n Whistles Challenge Blog and the lovely Lynda has chosen a sparkly, glittery, blingy Christmas - Yay! How much fun! My card really sparkles much more in person - the paper is glittery, the Prima flowers are glittery and of course, I added stickles to my sweet Star of Bethlehem image. This was my favorite Christmas stamp last year, and I waited too long to order it - and it sold out! I had to wait until this year to add her to my collection. So, don't make my mistake, grab yours today.

Have you been playing along with our Advent Blog event? We have so many cool things planned this month - and we are giving goodies away everyday! We are also holding a Christmas Ornament contest and would love for you to play along! There will be 3 prizes awarded - the first prize is a $25 gift certificate! So don't forget to make a BnW ornament!

Belle's Carols

Did you have a wonderful Thanksgiving? Are you still stuffed? I managed to make a card after our big family feast and just wanted to share it with you today. I used Belle's Carols (or at least part of the stamp) - I just wanted sweet Belle to fit in my circle, so I left her stuffed animals off of this one.

Are you getting excited about our Advent Calendar Celebration - you should be! We have so many fun things planned for you - and great giveaways! You won't want to miss it! Remember, it starts December 1st on the Belles n Whistles Inspiration blog.

Belles n Whistles New Challenge!

It's been two weeks, so it is time for a new challenge at Belles n Whistles. This week the talented Anki is challenging us to use her sketch along with bold winter colors (to me this meant no pastels). I had some really fun Christmas papers from Graphic 45, and I loved the way Rockin Around Belle looked in front of the Christmas tree - Just like this is her favorite present from Santa!

We would love for you to play along with us for your chance to win a new BnW stamp. Also, be sure to mark your calendars - starting Dec. 1st we will be celebrating our 2nd Annual Advent Blog Event - You will not want to miss it!

Warm and Cozy

The temperatures have been dropping like crazy, so now is the time to stay in and cuddle up (well maybe stay in and make a card!) The challenge at Belles n Whistles Challenge blog for the next two weeks is to use something cozy or fuzzy. I used a black felt mat by Prima on my card. It really looks much more elegant in person. The stamp, Hearty Thanksgiving, is one that was released last year, but is now available in our wonderful clear stamps.

Trick or Treat Me!

Hi! It's Gini and I am thrilled to be hosting today's challenge at the Belles n Whistles Challenge Blog! I know you are probably getting sick of Halloween challenges, so I came up with something a little different. I would love for you to either "Trick Me" with your card (with hidden flaps, pockets, sliding cards...you get the idea) or "Treat Me" with an over the top gorgeous card! It's really simple and it doesn't have to have anything to do with Halloween. Just have fun!

Now You See Him...

Now You Don't

For my card, I used Wheeling By and the Puppy from the Changeabelles Collection. I glued the puppy on clear cardstock, that slides up and down to hide the puppy and trick you! I hope that you will play along with us (you have two weeks to get your entry in). The winner will get to pick a Belles n Whistles stamp of their choice.

Monthly Blog Hop Really Reasonable Ribbon - Setember

Welcome to this month's edition of the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog hop. We will be highlighting different ribbons from the store and you will have the chance to win our Ribbon of the Month kit! How awesome is that? If you have been following the ribbon path to get here, you should have arrived from Kym's blog. If you just stumbled upon this hop, then you will want to go back to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings to start. Be sure to leave a little love at each team member's post to be eligible to win this month's kit.

For my card today, I used this adorable stamp from Belles n Whistles - Princess Tales. I thought she was deserving of some of my most girlie-girl ribbons. I love the pink glittery ric-rac (doesn't every princess need sparkle and pink?). I added crocheted lace to the side and ruffled it by simply using a piece of Scoretape along the back and pleating the lace as I laid it down. Finally, I used some Cotton Candy Baker's twine on my button. The papers are from Webster's Pages.

So, I guess it's time to get hopping to the very talented Amber's Blog. I know she will have something fantastic to share with you.

Here is a blog hop list for you, just in case you get lost along the way.

Back to School with Belles N Whistles

When I was growing up, I loved the excitement of going back to school- Who would be my teacher? Shopping for that perfect first day of school outfit, and seeing all of my friends. I also have great memories of taking my little sister to school. She is four years younger than me, so although I would like to say I had to take care of her, she has always been very independent and
quite capable of taking care of herself. Even still, I knew that this Sisters stamp, would be perfect for our Back to School Challenge at Belles n Whistles.

I used some of the gorgeous hand-dyed silk ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I love how easy it is to distress the edges of this ribbon. The papers are from Graphic 45.

Where is the summer going? My husband is a teacher, and he will soon have to go back to school! At Belles n Whistles, we want to keep that summer feeling going by seeing a little Fun in the Sun!

For my card, I used Little Eden. I decided that she would have fun watching the penguins hula dance for her!

Can you tell I chose the challenge at Belles N Whistles?

Ok, anyone who knows me or follows my work, knows that I love to distress everything that is not moving! So, of course, when it came time for me to choose a challenge at Belles n Whistles, I picked distressing! Yay! So get out your inks, your distressing tools or scissors - and use any type of distressing that you would like. Remember, you are playing for a BnW stamp of your choice!

I used the adorable Clowning Around from the Forever Young collection. I cut my circles (which by the way are also distressed!) using the Kreaxions Circle Cutter - my new favorite tool! That bodacious bow was made using some fantastic 1 1/2 inch wide Rose Satin from Really Reasonable Ribbons.

I hope you will get a chance to play along!
