In the spirit of coming together we have decided to have a swop (or swap?!) and for mine I made a production line worth of ATCs! I will share the ones I get in return soon!

Find your style... and friends!
Right now, along with the Crafty Boots Design Team, I am having a crafty day! We're all gathering together to share knowledge and learn new things! It will be amazing to meet the team who I have come to know through their blogs, Facebook and Twitter!

To Rusty With Love
At the risk of getting boring I have completely lost my mojo since hurting my arm (if you're the only person on the planet who doesn't know about it read more here!) So I was determined to join in on my favourite challenges this week and combined them together! Everything Wendy Vecchi wanted us to use Wendy's CFA technique from here and Simon Says Stamp and Show want us to get rusty!
I made a tag using my favourite PaperArsty paint Beach Hut and then put Indigo and Classic Treasure Gold through a mask and round the edges of the tag and tag topper I made. Then I sanded it all and added Vintage Photo Distress Ink to the tag. I then stamped the background stamp from Love to Make Art randomly in the background and the heart on some Sticky Back Canvas. The canvas was adhered to some CFA and then cut out. I coloured the heart with Barn Door Distress Stain and gently heated so I could curl the top slightly. I added some ideaology foliage to the heart which I'd painted, sanded and added more of the Treasure Gold to.
The wire was coloured with Alcohol Inks to make it look rusty. The wings are just gorgeous and I adhered the heart to them and attached them to the tag on top of the wire. So I hope that this might be the start of my mojo returning - it was certainly a lot of fun playing with ink again!

The latest challenge at Everything Wendy Vecchi is to use canvas. So this is my take on the challenge! I have become a little obsessed by Treasure Gold wax since I bought it last week while on holiday and so I started by covering all of the Art Parts with Treasure Gold and then a coat of Fresco Finish paint (variously: Beach Hut, Hey Pesto, Nougat and Little Black Dress) and then a gentle sand.
The leaf-turned-quill actually had a layer of green paint and then another of Treasure Gold and then Nougat paint - this gives it a little more interest to the 'feathers'. Everything had a little Vintage Photo Distress Ink added! I hadn't really thought of this leaf Art Part as anything but a leaf but by chance I put it upside down next to a 'spare' (or reject!) ink bottle and the idea was hatched! Don't you just love happy coincidences?!
The Claudine Hellmuth's sticky backed canvas was inked with Antique Linen and then stamped with one of Wendy's script stamps in Sepia Archival Ink. I added a little canvas behind the Ideaology label pull and another of Wendy's stamps. I wonder if this needs a little something on the right hand side? I suspect that this might be one of those pieces that you keep adding to?!!!
