Bintan Trip Dec 25 - 27 08
We decided to take the long weekend that Xmas provided to go for a short getaway at Bintan!
Eating breakfast at the only coffee shop in the ferry terminal
Couple Tee!!
On board Aria Bupala, the ferry we need to take to Bintan. It takes about an hour to reach there. Amazingly, the waters in Singapore was much more choppier than that at Bintan
??!?! who on earth will do that?!

The entire room concept and ambience was great!
We then had a "romantic" foursome dinner at Orzo.. one of the restaurants at the Bintan Lagoon Resort
Above: the rooms were each given a free "xmas tree" . so nice rite? and the biscuits were delicious.. or maybe we were just really hungry at that time
We then went for this ATV (all terrain vehicle) ride the next day
HAHAHAHA.. when my mum saw this photo she couldnt stop laughing like a hyena..

This photo was taken midway during the course of the ride. The guide was nice to stop n ask us to take photos here..
I was one of the most unfortunate souls whose shoes got soaked in disgusting black mud and my shoes still stink now... arghh.. i feel like throwing them away.. AND BUYING NEW ONES! hhehehehhe
Dew dew also got his shoes stained too. but his wasnt so bad..

We are posing here with both of our xmas pressies. he bought me esprit sunnies while i bought him an arsenal jersey..

Damn disgusting.. a dead fish..
We poor people ate instant noodles for lunch at the ferry terminal.. hahahha.. truth is, there was no other food there except instant noodles. they charged each cup at $2.70! FREAKIN EXPENSIVE! THEY WERE JUST OUT TO ROB US..
We had better food on our last night. We ate a $40++ per pax steamboat and grill buffet. The steamboat selection was not bad. There was flower crab, prawns, sotong, gong gong (which one of them was alive and keep moving about - damn disgusting)..
The grill only had steak, chicken wings and sausages. I think some of the chicken wings were not really cooked.
He lives to eat.
Above: i know im weird. but my favourite dish of the whole evening was this plate of fried veges where u choose the veges u want and the guy at the counter fries it for u with all different sauces to come up with a delicious plate of fried veges. it was fantastic!
Steamboat is not steamboat without steam
On our last day just before we set off back to the ferry terminal, we went to take some photos by the beach
