confusion?

As i near the end of my internship, i start to wonder what i'm really going to do in the future. One year ago, it seemed pretty clear to me that i wanted to do PR.

But right now, im starting to question myself constantly what is it i really want. I must say, going for this internship has really provided me with a deep experience which many might not have gotten with an MNC (where all they do are media clippings).

So right now, while i re-consider my options, i have decided to not mule on the fact that im not going to be earn great money.

This degree just provides a start to my career. but it does not decide the continuation for the rest of my life. It does not decide what i will be doing for the next 10 to 20 years.

Many people have made a mid term career switch and still end up not knowing what they want.

Will i become one of them?

This is what i fear. But i will conquer. and prevent.

teary lion reunion

I saw this news article on MSN.com just this morning and i thought it would be nice to share with all readers.

Heres a tearful reunion between a lion and 2 man who raised him up when he was just a little cub. They bought him off a Harrods stall at the time when Harrods sold exotic animals and such could be bought off the counter.

They raised him up in a church backyard but he was too big when he got older. they therefore decided to bring him back to Africa so that he could be back to nature.

Heres the link to the actual article-->
http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/25797678/?GT1=43001

Just copy and paste it or smt.

I almost cried.

This shows that animals have feelings too and it is the love from animals that is the purest and most sincere.

If only animals could talk, we would really understand how they feel and we'll know how to make them happier.

Look at how the lion recognises his former caretakers. Stop saying animals aren't intelligent and stop belittling them. For animals are better than us humans in one big and noble sense. They love sincerely and will never forget those who are nice to them. In this sense, we humans, can never be compared to them.

Taiwan Trip!!

Alright.. it has been about 2 weeks since i came back from taiwan and i have not blogged about it at all! I've not even finished with uploading all the 360 photos from taiwan onto facebook.
Its definitely going to take quite a while so i shall first upload some photos for everyone to see! (if there is anyone. hahaha)

Photobucket

Me and a pagoda behind.

Dew dew and i..

Photobucket

Scenery somewhere near the pagoda. If im not wrong, this attraction was at KaohShiung.

I admit, i'm not a great fan of Chinese architechture and history and so i put in little effort to remember.

But hey, i just caught Red Cliff, this chinese movie on the 3 Kingdoms.. and it was great! Nice visuals and battle scenes, great scripts and wats more.. interesting anecdotes and lame jokes at the right point in time.

However, i dislike the ending as it is.. " To be Continued.."

I really hate "to be continued " endings. I dont understand why must the director do this to us.. and make us wait and pay for the second sequel to this movie. arghh..

Anyway, back to taiwan..

Photobucket

Dew dew and his so-called Heavenly kings..

Photobucket

Some roadside stalls along the way..

Photobucket

Dew dew and me.i look so fat. =(

Photobucket

Dew dew and jin xin

Photobucket

Toilet room?!?!?!?

Photobucket

the entire 7 of us. We made up the majority of the tour group as there were only 13 people in the whole tour.

Photobucket

Photobucket

We should probably superimpose the above two pictures together. thats the whole point of taking the same scene right? haha.

alright.. i shall wait til i have more time to upload the rest of the taiwan photos! Watch this space for more updates!!!

Alright! quite a lot of things are happening around me but it just seem that nothing much is accomplished in the day. Coz sometimes i really have nothing to do / am assigned nothign to do here.

as a self-professed workaholic, i really cant sit still and do nothing. so sometimes i will be obsessively...
1. reading all the newspapers in singapore
2. reading every single magazine possible
3. bugging friends on msn
4. secretly peeking at other people's life on facebook
5. nosing around on friends' blogs.

And so, i could consider myself probably quite updated on almost everything around me.. in terms of whats happening to my friends to.. whats happening in the world, for example, which foreign minister came and left. which policy is announced, what research findings have shown, etc.

So anyway, the most eventful thing that has happened in my life this week is probably the media launch of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560 - 4. It was held at Oosh at Demphsey road and i must say, thats definitely a yuppie hang out place and a must go for those heading towards a high-flyer position or with an aim to bait a high-flyer.

I really want to go back there one weekend evening to indulge one day. But i guess the beverages will be rather pricey and.. til then, i shall keep to my loyal water cooler water, and self-made tea.

So anyway, dont go WOW ing when i say i went to the launch. i was there to help out. and NO.. i din get to c the car at all because i was at the registration booth all along. how sad rite? haha.. but not bad la i managed to take a photo of the area before you enter. hehe.. will post up if i have the time.

so 560 means horse power while 4 means 4 wheel drive. so.. its nothing too technical that anyone cant handle.

Thats all i noe about the gallardo. and oh! i know that this yr's batch is sold. only 16 are sold this yr. interested parties can wait and buy next yr's batch. up til now, the new gallardos have not reached sg yet. so.. it would probably be a while before we see them up on the roads (if, people actually drive them on the roads here. )

Finally, on a totally random note.. happy birthday mum!!

back from taiwan, more broke than ever!!

yes, im broke by $400.. =(

haha! it has been an unforgettable trip indeed. It was our first time on an overseas trip together (if you dont count taking the cruise and going to KL).

Many things happened and many lessons learnt.

So thats why i say its really something unforgettable. Trips to the hospital in Taiwan, scares of vomitting and lack of appetite. The very highs and lows one would rarely experience were all present.

The experiences also include the all famous (always part of a screwed trip in reality shows like The Amazing Race) FLIGHT DELAY. which turned out to be a blessing for some, but terror for others.

IF i have the time tonight, i will try to post some photos for your viewing pleasure.

BUT first, i think i have to start clearing my room and especially my wardrobe for space for my new clothes, shoes and bags!

My Taiwan shopping was not as bad as Bangkok.
This time, i only spent $400 on...
9 pieces of clothes
3 bags
3 shoes

Amongst these new possessions, dew dew contributed to a bag and he also bought me this really really elegant dress for our 10th month anniversary! =)

But hey, dont start pointing fingers and say im a money-sucker of sorts. because i bought him a top too!!!
And it looks great on him! =)

So, wad did i lose from this trip?

I wished i could say weight. but er... given the fabulously unhealthy food from the night markets, i reckon thats impossible.

I lost my voice. ARGHHHHH....... =(

now i sound even more like a man.
