we had napfa today... and guess what?? i got gold!!! can you believe it??? no no.. nbo one can because i failed last yr. hahahahaha....


but then again, i'm going to be hao lian a bit. i used to get gold every yr in secondarey sch except for sec 4 k.. (coz slack like shit)

and so i was so so very sad and stephanie came. so i told her my story. and was whining and whining to her.

soon after, min ya came. and i whined to her again.


i continued studying . being serious and sad at the same time.


suddenly, ai ting came to our table and told us she was leaving already.

and i did what i always did.. i whined to her..

saying," ai ting... he go away liao. haish.. why he so bad de....?? i'm very sad..... etc.."

then ai ting gave me a wierd look on her face. i was like ," huh???"

its title is called SLEEPING CRUELTY


the author's name is LYNDA LePlante


her name is damn cool right??? le plante. like kingdom plante. kingdom animalia, kingdom monera, etc etc (in case you dont get what i mean, i'm just listing some kingdoms in the planet. like, plant kingdom, animal kingdom . haha... you can refer to asexual reproduction notes hor!)

anyway, le plante writes really well..

why do i say that?

i normally only reads those sappy love story books and immerse myself in a whole of fantasy as it always ends with a happy ending.

but this book IS DIFFERENT. it is not a love story book but within it, it has ALL sorts of love (elaborated layter)

the plot of the story book is really good. its about revenge. about high society life and all the dirty things going on around with polictics and what not. it talks about studd like acceptance and it relates very well to one's inferiority complex (as seen in the personality of the main character.) it shows one's need for acceptance and for companionship and that money cannot buy everything.

in case you're thinkin, chey.. its just a normal norvel about ai yah.. i cannnot get ppl to accept me so i take revenge on them that sort of story, yoiu're wrong!

let me give you a brief summary of the story. its about this guy who works his way up and enmerges as a millionaire. he wishes to be integrated into thwe high society life as of most rich people. but after a political scandal, he was forced into seclusion and he felt vengeful and wanted to get back at those so called high class people who had put him down.

he has this island called the paradise island. he uses this island to get back at them with the help of two siblings (really beaitiful pair of siblings. a guy and a girl who has a very sad and traumatic childhood history.) the reason why they helped him was of course, because they wanted to get back at someone he wanted to get back at also..

this pair of siblings are nice but very crafty, so they devised the whole plan and executed it.the paradise island was meant to get all of the ppl that man wanted to get back at to go there. and ................................. stuff happen. they install video cameras in all rooms of the paradise resort ( hmm.. like BIG BROTHER)


everythig you can think of can happen. the sister of the pair of siblings is laura. a very beautiful lady who seduces everyone on the island.stuff happens..

it has absolutely everything imaginable!!! u name iyt, it has it.. affairs, homosexuals, BIsexuals, incest, paedophilia, etc etdc..

seriosuly, its one of the best books i've read..

go borrow it at the national library. not only the bugis one. i think almost every library might have????


it is a real good book. its good for the fresh-minded people. but straight -laced people, or rigid ones, if you are totally against such liberality, i suggest you stick to enid. haha enid blyton. haha.. jk jk.. maybe just normal love storriesd by sandra brown or (i forgot the name) will do. haha...

i wanted to wake up early today to run 2.4.... haha. i woke up at 7am!!!

can you believe it? but i went back to slp after going to the toilet to brush my teeth.

arghh.. and my timing for 2.4 really sucks??? lcukily i'm still 17 yrs old.. hehe..


i went to try ut 2.4km on saturday and my timing was 16.05minutes. sucks rite? haish. i need to imprbve by 5 mor secons to get aC grade..

and can someone please tell me how to improve my standing broad jump?? it used to be one of my best segments and now i cant even passs!! what the hell! must be the fats delaying my jump.!


the rest ofthe segments are still ok. i cant believe i got an A for shuttle run! haha.. coz my shuttle run always fail

because i pon school... who cartes about national day celebrations?? seriously, esp school national day celebrations?

i rmb last yr the only reason i went for national day celebrations was becasue i had to do guard duty.. to make sure people dont run away half way throught the celebration. i feel that such duty is crap anyway. it hasdgotten me and janice so many mosquito bites! but no choice we had to do it... all hail the servants of the school!!


seriously, why do JCs still celebrate national days?? to give councillors a thing to write on their testimonials that they have organised that particular event? or to let servants, like me, to feed the mosquitoes while the rest of them are enjoying themselves in the air con hall singing songs about their faith towards singapore?


i think its all crap. national day celebrations in schs are crap. except forthe national day presents i used to get when i was in primary and secondary school. i love free things. who doesnt?

anyway, i did not study today!! how ? how? how??? i only completed tjc chem prelim paper 03 the essay questions. how? i'm so dead. anyway, organic chemistry rocks la!! i know how to do all the organic chem questions (including the structured) in the prelim paper. but whether or not i'll know how to do during the actual prelim would really hacve to depend on luck..

i went to singapore expo today for the book fair and bought 9 storybooks worth $37 !!! can you believe it? how cheap can that be?? i even got the book i have been looking for!(though i saw it at kinokuniya but did not have the heart to buy it coz it would have burnt a hole in my pocket.)
it costed only $7!! and whats more its hardcover!!!!! cool eh?

its Blood and Gold by Anne Rice. i love vampire chronicles esp when its gothic horror! anne rice rocks..


i bought a lot of love story books. which is why i'm always getting a dreamy perception of love. living in a fantasy world for too long already. i'm not ready to get out of it though. i shall continue to be living in a blurred perception of love. the happily ever after kind. haha.... wishful thinking.


anyway, i could not find sophie kinsella's shopaholics series./ was rather disappointed because i really love her books. though, i have never expected to find them because such books are too expensive to be sold in bookfairs.

nvm.i shall buy after the As. but i want to buy paris hilton's confessions of a heiress first. i love her!! hehe.. (ya.. you must be thinking .. what a bimbo she is. )

i went to legends to eat dimsum before going to expo. dimsum was great as usual. so if you want good dim sum, go legends at fort canning park club. trust me. i'm a dim sum fannatic. i thinki its the best dim sum in singapore SO FAR.

if you want cheap but good dimsum, go to Ho Kee.. haha... not bad also. though not very good quality la.


anyway, about food. after eatuing dimsum , my dad suggested eating dessert. i hate the dessert menu in chinese restaurants. always the same few things. like, gingo nut in whatever... guilin gao, etc etc.


we decided to go to the Cafe at fort canning park club to eat dessert instead. so cute right? run here run there just to eat a proper meal. haha.. okok..

we ate chocolate fondue . it costs $12 for 2 people. so ji think its damn cheap la. they had cookies, banana, strawberries and kiwi. the usual. but they din have the long long ting. what do you call that? the skewer? the one you use to poke the fruits to dip it into the chocolate .

nonetheless i nmust say i did not really enjoy it. because we were rushing for time and were not patient enough . so the fire under the chocolate wok(or what do you call it?) did not have time to heat up the chocolate. so the choclate was not very njice..

the best choc fondue is still at humble house restaurant at esplanade. though, i can assure you its still not the best becasue i haven tried many. haha... maybe you should try the one at max brenner's cafe at the esplanade. they specialise in everything chocolate. only went there once. i wish to try to fondue. yum yum....
