Build it Up

Hi Everyone, what a funny old week we have had... rain, beautiful sunshine, gusty winds, all we need now is a bit of the white stuff lol!!... It's time for another challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly' and this week it is 'Build it Up'.. which means no flat cards we need to see layers please.... My photo is a bit rubbishy this week, have taken several but the light was never right, it looks a bit lopsided too, in real life it looks lovely... I cased one of my teamies ideas with the little tags, hope you don't mind Debs...  Do you like my new die I got from the show, it's the little swirls that are on my flower arrangement..  it's a Noor Design from Joy Crafts.. it has a lovely oval frame with it too, can't wait to use it! I've lifted all the layers up with foam pads, all the flowers and image got the stickle treatment and it's very sparkly lol!!

I have used one of the gorgeous new pads from LOTV called Romance and Roses, this is such a lovely pad and is one of my favourites at the moment!!. I have used my mesh border die which I find I reach for all the time..  I have used it today to create a trellis effect for my flowers, I think it looks quiet effective don't you!.. I also added a touch of treasure gilding wax to my flower spray.. love this product!!

All Our Dreams

Good morning everyone, hope you are all doing ok?... I somehow twisted my back this week-end and have been wobbling around like an old woman lol!! it's still not right yet but there isn't anything you can do but wait until it decides to ease up by itself..

Well it's Papertake Weekly Challenge today and Dawny would love to see two or four legs on your card or both, so I've gone with two and made this card for my little granddaughter Annelie... I think this is one of the sweetest images at LOTV don't you!...

I coloured the image with my ink tense pencils, they are so vibrant these pencils I love them!!...I've ruffed all the edges of the card and inked around the edges, I love the companion set from LOTV, it's the first time I've used it, there are so many lovely elements with it.. I really enjoyed playing and stamping lol!! I still need to colour the inside image but will do that before I post it..

There were so many lovely entries ,.. and this week a special card was drawn by Mr.Linky, uncanny really as it was a remembrance card and today being the llth it seems quiet fitting that such a lovely card was chosen, as it was made to remember all the men and women that fought for us so long ago.....

Do pop across to the main challenge and see the gorgeous creations my lovely teamies have for your inspiration this week .. and there is a lovely stamp to be won from Whiff OF Joy too!!

A New Home

Good morning everyone, sorry I haven't been around for a while but still busy with the house, one little job of getting the Artex sorted has ended up into a major overhaul of all the other rooms lol!!.. The dust just got every where so it's lots of cleaning and painting... Anyway I have managed to clear a little space and I've put this card together for this weeks lovely challenge over at Papertake Weekly which is a Sketchie Free For All... This means you can use the new sketch that Dawny has created or you can choose one of the older ones which you can find here.. I have used sketch #42 as it fitted in so nicely with this lovely image from LOTV.

Wild Flowers

Good morning all, where does the time go to?... We are busy replacing our kitchen at the moment, David and I decided to do it ourselves as the fitting costs were astronomical, and I am also working extra hours at work so no time to sit and relax lol!!  I did go to the Harrogate show though a couple of weeks ago... Debs and I had a fabulous time and bought some lovely goodies...  I managed to get my hands on the new paper pads from LOTV they really are gorgeous, and they can also be used for other occasions not just Christmas, so good all rounders:) I watched a lovely demonstration on embossing and can't wait to have a go with my new embossing powders, also picked a few tips up on stamping and inking. It makes all the difference when you are shown the correct way on how to use the tools you have!
I still haven't managed to take photo's of my cards I made with my distress inks, as the kitchen is taking up a lot of time and energy.. I think projects like this make you realize you are not as young as you were lol!!! But we are getting there and it will be worth it in the end:)

A peek at the inside

I made this card for Debs birthday, the image is from LOTV's art pads and I have used frantage on the sides. The little tags are also from LOTV . The paper is called 'Pretty in Pink' by Glitz. I distressed all the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink, sorry I can't remember what colour I used now, I think it was Victorian Velvet.... the layout is a 'paper take weekly' sketch, which I was going to enter, then missed the deadline lol!!  There is a lovely new challenge also starting at The Ribbon Girl for Lili of the Valley products, so click here and have a look.. happy crafting:)..

Challenges Entered
LOTV Monthly Challenge - Anything Goes

Would just like to say sorry for not being a good blogger, and hope to get back to normal soon, I still have lots of Christmas cards to make... I could also do with some magic elves to help with the kitchen lol!!!
Take Care,
Love and Hugz
