A New Home

Good morning everyone, sorry I haven't been around for a while but still busy with the house, one little job of getting the Artex sorted has ended up into a major overhaul of all the other rooms lol!!.. The dust just got every where so it's lots of cleaning and painting... Anyway I have managed to clear a little space and I've put this card together for this weeks lovely challenge over at Papertake Weekly which is a Sketchie Free For All... This means you can use the new sketch that Dawny has created or you can choose one of the older ones which you can find here.. I have used sketch #42 as it fitted in so nicely with this lovely image from LOTV.

Oh so Cute!

Good morning everyone, hope you all had a fabulous week, wasn't the week-end just gorgeous.  I even managed to go to a Land Rover show with David and a crafting show with Debs.. then a nice BBQ on Sunday the first one of the season... my brother John and Chrissy came also, so there was seven of us altogether, it was great we had a bit of a celebration for my Mom's 87th Birthday, she loved it!

My card today is for Papertake Weekly, and Dawny would love to see something 'Cute' it was so hard to choose as I have so many lovely images.  I did want to use one of my new fairy stamps but my week has just flown bye.  I still haven't got around to trying my inktense pencils yet either!!  So I chose one of my trusty Art Pad images and isn't this just the cutest little bear you have ever seen lol!!  I glittered Jenny the bear with cotton candy stickles and matted her onto a spellbinders square scalloped die. I also made a daisy flower, the pink is a lot softer in real life. I inked all the card with a lovely soft pink, but it doesn't show up very well on the photos.

Happy Easter

Good afternoon everyone, hope you have all had a great week.  I'm on a mission at the moment, I feel my cards need a bit of umph!!  I want to make something a bit different, so I'm trying out a few different card folds, first up is this centre step card which I came across in one of my card magazines.  I had to alter it a little to fit in with my design for this Easter Card. Hope you like it!

We have a lovely challenge today over at 'Papertake Weekly', Dawny has chosen an Easter Theme... you can make a card for Easter or include something egg shaped or oval on your card, so I decided to go with an Easter card and this little image is just right for this card fold too... I had lots of fun dressing it up!

I Decoupaged the eggs, you can see it a little in this photo

I am really pleased how it's turned out. I have had this lovely image for ages in my drawer, it's called 'Spring Bunny with eggs' from LOTV.  I used my Tim Holz Distress markers to colour it.  I haven't done any colouring for a while so it was lovely to sit and relax for awhile lol!!  I made a bit of a mess of the image so coloured a second one, and didn't like that either, so I decided to use the first bunnie and decoupage the eggs, I got this idea from Debby who uses decoupage all the time, her cards are amazing, you can see her lovely work here.

Spring Has Sprung!

Good morning everyone, I can't believe it's been almost a week since our break in Germany.  We had a fabulous time, the weather was really kind to us and Liam was a little gem!! Wish the airport strike had gone on a little longer then we would have had more time there lol!!

Hope you all had a great week-end, Deborah and I went to LOTV and did a 3D Class with Dawny.. It was fabulous, we made a lovely 'Birthday Box', which I didn't quiet manage to finish so when it's done I'll put it on my blog.  I want to make a couple for Christmas as they are so nice, you can see Dawny's here.  I have never really made a 3D project before, other than boxes for my cards, so was really pleased with myself lol!! I also bought more goodies as you do lol!!

Any way on to my card for today, it's for my guest spot at Papertake Weekly and this week you need to make a card with 'Spring' in mind or you could just use Spring Colours.  Nice and easy.. there will also be a lovely prize up for grabs too, so do come along and have a go!

A peek at the inside

I used a jelly roll pen on the petals tried to get a photo, it just gives it a little extra sparkle.  Also used Frosty Lace stickles on his little tail, it doesn't show up to well I'm afraid!

I used my distress markers to give the image more depth

Good morning everyone,

I would just like to say a 'Big Thank You' to everyone for the lovely wishes you sent me regarding my Aunty Hilda, they are very much appreciated.  One of the things I love about crafting is that most of us are really caring of other people, and your well wishes and encouragement always make me feel better, whether it's something that's happened in my life or just an encouraging comment about a card, I've never met a lot of you but feel sometimes that you are my closest friends:) xx  Sending you all big cyber hugs xx

So on to my card for today it's Tuesday so it's time for Papertake Weekly challenge and the theme for this week is 'Bingo' below is the grid and if you don't know how to play it's easy, just choose one of the lines in any direction and include them on your card.

My choice for this week is the top line

The gorgeous pearls are from Ribbon Girl as well as some of the flowers.
