Sketchy Free For All

Hello everyone, hope you all had a great week-end with lots of crafting thrown in!..  Whooo!! I'm feeling quiet happy today, I managed to order some lovely paper pads from LOTV yesterday, had a bit of a struggle at first trying to get on the site.. gave up and tried a bit later, really thought I would miss out again lol!! But NO.. they still had some stock!!  Can't wait for Mr. Postie to arrive now lol!!

My card today is for 'Papertake Weekly' which is a lovely sketch challenge. You can use any sketch as long as it is one of the Papertake sketches.  I chose to use sketch #80. The nice thing about sketches is they give you a good starting point, especially when Mr. Mojo has gone walk about, I love using them.  I really enjoyed making this card, the flowers were cut out with a Joy Die, really want to have a go at making some flowers, I have some gorgeous dies which I haven't known how to use properly so have been on the internet for some tutorials, so watch this space lol!!..   The gorgeous hearts are a Marianne die and I have ruffed up all the black card with some sand paper and scissors, the card is by Tim Holtz and is a dream to use for this sort of thing.  The gorgeous papers are from LOTV designed by Mary Fran.  The image is from one of LOTV art pads.

My card is about sending someone special hugs so I would just like to send some special hugs to Mary, Andrea and Family from the ribbon girl.  Mary sadly lost her husband last week and I would just like to say you are all in my thoughts and prayers. xx

Engagement

Wow! two posts in one week lol!!.. just wanted to show you my card for my Nephew who recently got engaged... I changed the image on my Love is in the air card as I think this one now is more appropriate.. I also made a gift box to match it... I have used another LOTV image, it's a cute square called love and romance... I stickled her little hat and dress, but it doesn't show up so well on the photo...

Isn't that image adorable!!  It's damp and drizzly today, but a promise of sunshine this afternoon!!

Lovely Layers

Hi everyone, another week has flown bye, wish time would slow down a little lol!!  Haven't the storms and floods been horrible.  My heart goes out to all those people who have been affected by them.  We had really strong winds last week, but things seem to have eased a little, lets hope it stays that way! My car got a bit damaged with falling tiles off the roof, but no major damage to the house, thankfully.

As it's Tuesday, it's time for another 'Paper Take Weekly' challenge, and this week it's 'Lovely Layers'. For my card this week, I've used the lovely 'Pre-Coloured' Art Pads from LOTV, I love these images!  The lovely papers are by Memory Box called 'Minuet' and I've had them for ages, they went so well with this lovely vase of flowers. I added stickles to the inside of the flowers for a little sparkle and instead of using card around the image, I used some of the papers, I think it looks quiet effective, and makes a nice frame.

My die cut flowers are a Marianne die that I love and use all the time, the gorgeous flowers are a mixture from the 'Ribbon Girl' and 'Wild Orchid Crafts', the ribbon is also from the 'Ribbon Girl'.. I won this quiet some time ago and have now just finished my last piece :(  I inked all the card and papers with Tim Holtz 'Old Paper' Distress ink, and the little butterflies are cut out with a 'Martha Stewart' punch, use this all the time too!

Love is in the Air

Hello everyone,
Wow! Can't believe it's a month since I last blogged, I have been busy with Mum and also at work.  We are all trying to take some leave before the end of March, other wise we loose it, we always leave a week or so for the winter months but then it's a mad rush to fit everyone in lol!!

Some exciting news, Dawny over at Papertake Weekly asked me if I would like to be a guest designer for a couple of months... Oh my giddy aunt, I was so excited lol!!  Papertake Weekly is such a lovely challenge blog, with it's lovely sketches and anything goes, and this week it is really simple, just include a heart somewhere on your card, and seeing it's Valentine's Day coming up that should be easy, peasy lol!  There is always a lovely prize to be won too!
