We went away for the week-end to Debs and had such a relaxing time, went to the Christmas Vintage Fair at Worcester, and had mulled wine, and roasted chestnuts mmmm!!! and the weather was very kind to us too!!

Anyway onto my card for 'Papertake Weekly'... which is 'Anything Goes' with the option of making a Christmas gift or decoration.  I haven't had much time this week for myself, so I would like to share this card I made for a special lady who I met whilst shopping for crafty goodies, and we have become quiet good friends, you can see her fabulous blog here.

The gorgeous paper is from a pad by Craftwork Cards called 'Time Flies' and the sentiment is a LOTV Verses and Quotes stamp (Set 61) which I stamped straight onto the paper, no colouring required lol!.. I added black pearls and ribbon and a lovely butterfly from Magnolia it also has black pearls on but doesn't show on the photo's  and a filigree corner from La La Land.
Isn't this little tag gorgeous... I won a lovely prize from Bugaboo digi stamps and this is one of the images I chose. ( I wouldn't of known if it wasn't for Carole... she told me to check my challenges:).. I coloured the little butterflies with my inktense pencils to match the papers...

From All Of Us

Good morning everyone, it's a lovely day here in Yorkshire today when the sun is shining doesn't it make you feel better! Well another week has flown bye all too quickly, can you believe my little granddaughter is five weeks old already!!.. I  have my big nearly 15 years old granddaughter Candice with me this week as it's school holidays, she's come to visit some of her friends also she has a 60's birthday party at the week-end.. Wow! does that bring back memories with playing records and jiving in the school hall to the music of the 'Beatles',  Jerry and the Pacemakers etc... I remember going to see the Beatles at the Apollo in Ardwick, Manchester... not from the inside of course!! Mum couldn't afford to buy us a new pair of shoes.. never mind tickets to a concert lol!! I remember my friends and I standing in the freezing cold just waiting for a glimpse and every time some one moved at a window we would scream for dear life lol!! Oh! Happy Days lol!!

Enough rambling and on to this weeks challenge at 'Papertake Weekly' .. Dawny has created this lovely sketch which I have used or you can choose another sketch from our fabulous list of sketches which you can find here...  I have kept to the basic design but you can turn it around, flip it, remember sketches are only a guide to get you going, I love them as when Mr. Mojo isn't around it gives you a place to start....

I have used a pre-coloured cute square called Christmas Animals and I have stickled all the baubles on the tree, it's lovely and sparkly but as usual my photography isn't quiet right..  , I have lots of these cute squares and still find them so handy.. I can't find them on the website so I think they have been discontinued...

I love You

Good morning everyone, had a lovely week-end but it all went to quickly lol!! I went to the 'Which Craft' Show at the Dome on Sunday with Debs, it was lovely and picked up some storage shelves from Inkylicious for my inks and bits and bobs... it's just deciding where to put it now, as I was greedy and bought the biggest one instead of the smaller one lol!! I might have to change it if I can't fit it in!!  Also bought some lovely stamps from LOTV,  and some paint brushes and ink and some more magnetic sheets for my dies..... I was a bit careful as I had bought some Tonic dies in the week on the internet! Can't wait to use these!!

Well it's time for another challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly' and this week the challenge is to make a card using Black and White + one other colour excluding skin and hair... I stamped a love sentiment onto black card and heat embossed it... I didn't quiet get it perfect but have run out of black card now so went with my first attempt.. will just have to keep practising lol!!  I've kept it quiet simple, I did put red pearls on at first but quiet like the simple touch for this one...  I do keep looking at it though and thinking should I put them back on lol!!  It was originally for my husband as it's our Anniversary on Friday '44' Years.. but it's a bit to girly for a man so I might give it to him to give to me as I quiet like it lol!!! and make him another one....

How can two photos taken under the same conditions look so different in colour!

I think I like the one with the pearls now lol!!... It does look lovely in real time, but I think Black and White with red always look fabulous together... I used a Cheery Lynn heart die and what a night mare it was too cut out... not entirely the dies fault as my cutting machine is getting a bit long in the tooth (a bit like me really lol!!) and I keep having to shim a lot of my dies now... that's another reason why I've run out of black card!... I embossed some white card with my cuttlebug swiss dots folder, I love this design it always looks so classy!!

We are sponsored by the lovely Mary and Andrea over at the Ribbon Girl this week, and that gorgeous red velvet ribbon was from them... so do take a look at there lovely site and blog:)

Super Fly at 'Papertake Weekly'

Good morning everyone, it's miserable here in Doncaster lots of rain lol!!.. I'm still in the middle of sorting my craft room.. I just can't find anything and it's so frustrating when you want to make a card by the time you have found what you want Mr. Mojo has gone out the door lol!! (fed up of waiting I expect lol!!) anyway I managed to put together this little card, I think it's so sweet... It fits in lovely with our latest challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly', which this week is 'Super Fly'... Dawny would love to see you use things with wings for example butterflies, planes bats anything at all as long as it has wings.... so I have chosen this lovely LOTV art pad image with a super cute snowman and lovely birds feeding from his little bird feeder..

I have also used one of LOTV sketches #17 to give me a starting point.

Boo!!

Good Morning, it's been quiet misty here in Yorkshire and now we have drizzle...... yes I think Autumn is here!!  I do love this season though as 'Mother Nature' sends us the most glorious colours to feast our eyes on... I love the gorgeous hues of reds, and oranges....

Debs and I went to the Harrogate show on Saturday, I was  a little disappointed though as it seemed much smaller and there wasn't as many of the big names there... I suppose it clashed with the Port Sunlight show and people can't be in two places at once lol! Still I got to see one of my bestest blogging buddies and also Debs came up for the show too, also bought some nice goodies... not as many as I normally do but that gives me more pennies for Paula's Which Craft show at the dome in Doncaster in a couple of weeks so it was a good week-end.

It's Tuesday so time for another lovely challenge over at 'PAPERTAKE WEEKLY'.. this week it's ANYTHING GOES... with the option of making a Halloween treat box, but as you know it is only an option, we also have a lovely prize up for grabs from LOTV who are our sponsors this week....

I have made a little treat bag, I don't have a lot of Halloween images but found this lovely pumpkin stamp which I won in a challenge, quiet a while ago...   I have used it as a tag for the bag... the stamp was quiet big, after I had stamped it I cut it in half and coloured it with my distress ink pens and Bob's your uncle lol!! The papers were from Lidl which I've had forever, and the spider I got from Asda last year and still have quiet a few left!

I think these little guys steal the show lol!!!
There was a Mummy pumpkin and two more babies
but is was too big for a tag... I think they are sooo cute!!

Challenges Entered

Allways Something Creative - #84 Fall/Halloween

I can't believe she is two weeks old already!!!
Well guys have a fabulous week, and thank you for the lovely comments you leave they are always so welcome and appreciated xxx
Have a good one,

A little bit of CAS....

Good morning everyone, I am now back from my holidays and what a fabulous time we all had.  I can't believe how cold I feel since we came back, I really do need warmth lol!! I will share some photo's with you as soon as I get myself sorted, I feel really disoriented, and not quiet here lol!!  Debs and Candice are now in Worcester, and are settling in slowly.  Our little Jack Russell 'Cassy' also went down this week-end, she has missed the girls so much and was just so happy when she saw them at the week-end, she has her sparkle back again now!! She had two homes as I looked after her during the day, I keep looking for her and think I have let her out into the garden, then realize she isn't here.... any way it's time for another challenge over a Papertake Weekly and this week the theme is 'Repeat, Repeat' our sponsor is the lovely Katherina from Whiff of Joy Stamps....

I have gone with a simple card this week as I haven't had any time to sit and play.. I used the sketch from 'CAS(E) this Sketch', although I was in a rush to make this card I really like the end result, I still have to finish the inside though!!  I think I'm going to try my hand at making more of these little cards... I finally got a chance to use one of my lovely crocheted doily's that Nicole my DIL made for me, it goes so well with this card.  I also used up scraps of card, that I've been accumulating over the last few years, I must go into this box more often lol!!

Challenges Entered
CAS(E) this Sketch - sketch #91

I do hope you can join us this week, do pop across to the main challenge and take a look at what my lovely teamies have made, I'm sure you will be inspired by there lovely makes!

This week is also going to be quiet busy as we are having Artex taken off the walls in the hallway, stairs and landing yayhh!!!! they start on Friday....  I don't mind the mess as I've wanted it gone for years and finally it will be going yes!!!! I'm going to try and get my card made for next week, before all the dust starts flying about as I won't be able to get into my craft room.  I think it might be a good idea to cover up my computer too! I will try and get around for visits, but please bear with me, I will be back to normal soon lol!!!!

You all take care,
Love and Hugs,

Today we have a lovely challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly' Dawny would like to see lots of spots and dots somewhere on your card and there is a lovely prize up for grabs too by the lovely Katharina at Whiff of Joy stamps.

The sentiments and the papers are from LOTV.  The image itself is from one of the sketch pads that LOTV brought out a while ago that you could colour yourself, but I don't think they are doing them any more as I can't find a link, but they do sell the pre-coloured art pad and also the lovely stamp which is called 'Put Your Feet Up'.  I have coloured it with my Prisma Pencils.

Time To Have Fun

Good morning everyone, I'm running around like a headless chicken at the moment lol!! Deborah moves down to Worcester next week and then two days later we go to Spain on our holidays yaaayh!! I think we will all be glad to get on the ferry and just relax and not have to think about anything!! We have an over night stay on the ferry so it will give us all time to recover from the last few months, we have had lots of ups and downs, and some disappointments but that is all behind us now and we are going to have 18 days of sunshine, beaches lovely food and lots of fun!!. We are going overland in the Land Rover, our first stop is only one hour away from the Ferry terminal as we don't dock until 18.00 hrs.. on our second stop over we will be staying in Madrid for two days. Candice loves cities and she has studied Spanish this year so it will give her an insight to what the people and the culture are like... then we are off too Calpe for a whole 7 days in a villa, it has it's own swimming pool and we are not far from the sea a two minute walk and we will be on lovely beaches, so, so looking forward to that... then we start to travel back and have a night at Cuenca where the famous hanging houses are.. a bit scary but the scenery looks out of this world, then we go to a lovely place called La Posada De Gallegos for Deborah's birthday... then onto Larendo for two nights before we catch the ferry home. I will post some photo's when I get back as I think we are going to see some amazing sights!

Hope your still with me, as it's time for another challenge over at Papertake Weekly, and being the first Tuesday of the month it's Anything Goes, there is an OPTION to use some torn paper on your card if you want too...

Liam loves Lightening McQueen it is one of his favourite characters, it is very glittery but red is a devil of a colour to photograph!!.... The image is off the internet and I coloured it with promarkers and prisma pencils and added two googly eyes!.. I die cut the letters and embossed them with red glittery embossing powder and attached them too a spellbinders ribbon die... the papers are from Bearly Mine and the lovely sentiment is from LOTV, who are our sponsors this week, so do come and play along with us and you could win a lovely £10 Voucher...

Good morning everyone, what a fabulous week of sunshine we have had... I wonder how long it will last lol!! Hope you have all had a good week.  As it's Tuesday it's time for another challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly',  Dawny has a lovely sketch for you this week or you can choose any of the other sketches on the blog, but remember it must be one of our sketches you can find them here.  I chose to go with the new one. I have used a lovely stamp called 'Born to Shop' I got it free with a magazine some time ago, and this card is for someone who loves to shop... (don't we all lol!!)

This is my take on the sketch, I swapped some of the elements around a little, remember it can be exact or you can move elements around to fit in with what you would like

I coloured the image with my inktense pencils and cut around the image. I used one of Tim Holtz embossing folders then cut a circle out of the middle and adhered the image to the centre with mounting squares. did some faux stitching around the circle and embossed paper, added a stamped sentiment from LOTV and some lovely ribbon from LOTV and some gems. I also die cut some flowers and added a little gem to each one.  I really enjoyed using the circle die, you can get some fabulous effects if you play around with them, quiet like the way this card turned out...

Good morning everyone, sorry I haven't posted for a while, but have been busy with house hunting with Debs, Still can't get used to the idea she will be moving. Selling and moving location and job are so stressful but everything is falling into place and the sale will be through by 9th August, she is still waiting to here whether she has secured one of the houses we have visited, but they are a dragging there heels a bit, if she can't find anywhere she is going to store her furniture for a while.  The hospital she is moving to has accommodation for staff that are in transit so her and Candice will rent an apartment for a few weeks, we are going on holiday the middle of August too, it has been booked since before she got her new job, so as you can imagine we are all a little stressed at the moment lol!! .. anyway its Tuesday already and time for another challenge over at 'Papertake Weekly' and this week its a nice easy one 'Jolly Holidays'... you can interpret this any way you like I was going to do one ready for our Summer Holidays but my printer is acting up at the moment and the image I wanted to use is a digi!! so I went with a Christmas Theme, and I now have another Christmas card made yayhhh!!!.

Now these little bears look as though they are ready for there Jolly Holidays, don't you think lol!! I've used one of the older ready coloured toppers from LOTV called Christmas Animals.  I have lots of these and really must use them up and make some cards, they are so cute!  The lovely papers are from the Woodland Wishes and Simple Joys paper pads by Mary Fran at LOTV, and I have distressed them and inked them up with Vintage Photo distress ink by Tim Holtz.  I've used two sentiments from the Christmas Sentiment Tags also from LOTV, and the big Merry Christmas is again from Avalon Esoterics which I purchased from a craft show a couple of months back. I've used a Marianne Snowflake doily die and a small slender firs die from Magnolia.  I've glittered everything up with Stardust Stickles and Glamour Dust and white pearls, it looks better in real life than my pants photos lol!!

Challenges Entered

We are sponsored this week by the lovely Liz from 'Buttons for Brains' so do come along and join in with us.
