Happy 4th of July

Man, did we have an Awesome 4th! The only way I can think of how to describe it is "romantic." Not in the lovey dovey kind of romantic, but the right out of a Country time lemonade commercial kind of romantic. We went to a ward member's house on the outskirts of Jackson that was built in the 1800's and has been refinished. The house sits on 60 acres and includes a pond complete with zip line, fountain, dock, and plenty of pool toys, a corral and a covered pavilion, not to mention beautiful gardens all around. We were able to hang out and have the patriotic meal of hotdogs and hamburgers with all the trimmings like potato salad, watermelon, and way more desserts than actual food! DB had a ball swimming in the pond, and Ben and I were party poopers and kept JT on the beach (there were CATFISH on the bottom of that pond, and I was just a little freaked out!) There were fireflies in the bushes toward the end of the evening, and we even finished the day out with an awesome fireworks display furnished by mother nature, and even stayed up late into the night listening to the tornado sirens. It was super humid all day long, but especially before the storm, and it felt so good on my skin, although I did start to glisten there for a while (girls don't sweat, right?) It wasn't hot, though so it was actually PERFECT weather.

I am so grateful to live in this beautiful country that I have been able to see more of there in TN, and was especially grateful for our first "down home" kind of 4th of July!

We hope all is well with you. Take care!

That sounds AMAZING! ;) I am so glad that I know exactly what you are talking about as far as the weather goes and your skin glistening. I love it! I was wondering what you were able to do for the 4th and it sounds like it was magical!

Me? Isaac decided it was a good time to throw up all over us just as the fireworks were starting :) Romantic, I know.

Good times! :)
