McLaren P1

Image
Behold, the much teased McLaren P1 supercar. The replacement for the venerable McLaren F1 and the dream of drivers everywhere. McLaren promises nothing less than "the best driver's car in the world on road and track." For once, we're not at all skeptical. What you're seeing is not a production car exactly. This is a "design study" that'll debut in person at the Paris Motor Show but one that is supposed to preview the next generation car — set to go on sale within 12 months. Here's what McLaren's chairman Ron Dennis has to say about it "P1 will be the result of 50 years of racing and road car heritage. Twenty years ago we raised the supercar performance bar with the McLaren F1 and our goal with P1 is to redefine it once again." Otherwise, McLaren is fairly mum on details. It'll be faster and more expensive than the 12C, but otherwise they haven't said much. There are plenty of...

Image
The LG Optimus G is officially launched, propelling LG ahead with its most powerful smartphone ever. Under the hood, it is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor with 1.5GHz quad-core Krait coupled with 2GB of RAM. Over at the front, it has a large 4.7″ True HD IPS Plus display that pushes 1280×768 resolution. LG has utilised its own G2 Touch Hybrid Display which helped to reduce the overall display panels which makes the Optimus G a rather skinny 8.45mm, one of the thinnest for a large screen smart phone. As comparison, the Galaxy S II which is one of last year’s thinnest is 8.49mm thick. On board it comes with 32GB of storage and it runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with LG’s custom skin. There are couple of UI enhancement including QSlide which lets you open 2 separate screen simultaneously so that you can do 2 tasks concurrently. iPhone 5 VS iPhone 4S: What're The Differences?

Image
Finally the much anticipated iPhone 5 has been unleashed! Are you happy? Honestly I am not impressed with the new iPhone 5 (No! I am not bashing iPhone). Even though iPhone 5 looks like it has leapfrogged it predecessor (iPhone 4S) in a lot of department, iPhone 5 is still relatively weak compared to other smartphones on the market right now. IMHO, there is nothing much to shout about if we were to compare iPhone 5 with Samsung Galaxy S3 (even though Apple has months to make it better than the latter). So if you plan to upgrade your really old phone or smartphone, here are a few things about the new iPhone 5 that you need to know. 8 Things That You Need To Know About The New iPhone 5 iPhone 5 is only 7.6mm thick (18% thinner compared to iPhone 4S) and 20% lighter as it tips the scale at 112grams. Viewing pleasure-wise, iPhone 5 packs a 4inch (finally) Retina Display which Apple claims have better colour saturation. This allows the new iPhone 5 to have extra set of ico...

Apple Inc has officially launched the next generation of its smartphone, the iPhone 5 , during the September 12 event. The event took place at San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. iPhone 5 – the Features On the outside, the iPhone 5 does look different from its predecessor. This made iPhone 5 the thinnest and lightest iPhone ever! iPhone 5 features a new and larger 4-inch (1136×640 pixels at 326 ppi) Retina display (this explains why the phone is taller) and sports a new A6 chip which boosts graphics performance by 2x and has twice the CPU power than the iPhone 4S. Moreover, the Apple smartphone delivers better battery life and runs on the ultrafast wireless technology including LTE (long term evolution) and DC-HSDPA. As for the camera, it looks no...

GoogleNexus716GB Review

Image
I’ve always wanted a tablet PC, but I never really wanted a 10” Tablet, and the 7” tablets on the market were generally from companies that I’d consider to be “no brand”, or they were simply too expensive for the specifications that they offered. Along came Google with their Asus manufactured Nexus 7, which offers an IPS screen, 16GB NAND, 1GB RAM and running the latest version of Android, Jelly bean. All while coming in at 7” and a knock out price of only £199.99, as well as coming with £15 worth of credit on their app store the now named; Play store. For the more budget aware of us out there, they also had an 8GB tablet of the same specifications that came in at £159.99 as well as coming with the £15 credit. Initial impressions Having used other tablets previously, such as the iPad 2 and two ICS tablets from Samsung and Asus (Friend’s laptops) I was eager to see how the interface and general usability felt, as from my personal perspective I find the iPad 2 with IO...
