I play in the sugar bowl

This week Gayle gave us this sketch where we had to include paper piecing. I love this sketch so simple yet so effective just brill Gayle.
Ingredients:

Crafters Companion: Flower Fairies Friends&Sentiment stamp
Sugar Nellie stamp:Meggie with Stick&Accessories
Ribbon&gem from stash
Shakura Stardust pen
Nestabilities
Gold pen
I printed two backing papers from my CD and stamped Meggie out on each paper&on plain paper too. I've cut out coat from pink paper and pocket, scarf.boots&glow from green backing paper then put the pieces onto the plain stamped image the rest was coloured with red stardust pen. I stamped the little star onto stick an coloured with yellow stardust pen. I edged a plain paper with gold pen and use as a layer behind my green backing paper. I used a strip of pink backing paper and put ribbon behind it put it on my base card, put topper on it. Done my funny knot, put gems and my sentiment on it as finishing touches.
For inside I printed an insert out with sentiment and the other side with my nesties cut 2 stars out and off set them.

I play in the sugar bowl

I decided this week I join in I play in the sugar bowl blog challenge. I got few stamped out Sugar Nellie stamps so might as well use tham. I love this sketch so elegant. I don't thing I got a chance to win it but because I'm making Xmas cards I thought might as well join in a blog challenge so I picked Sugar Nellie one.
Ingredients
Sugar Nellie Stamp: Untamed
Backing paper from Crafters Companion Xmas collection
Tim Holtz ink: Vintage Photo
Sakura stardust pen
Water colouring pencils
Gem from stash
Pebeo glossy touch
I was left with some Xmas printed paper from last year. This week challenge this brown one was just perfect. The other week made card and punched a circle out and kept the left over which I used up here. I got some lovely hand made paper in my stash( I don't like to use them cos I love them and wanna keep it for myself lol ) and I had one little brown one. I love tearing my papers and inking the edge to give a bit of definition to it plus it's not necessarily to mat it onto an other card, attached this gorgeous image onto it and finished the card of with Pebeo. I used my Pebeo to do the dots and the ribbon effect on the top. Inside is very simple but sometimes more is less.
