Sophisticated Thinking of You Card Featuring Stampin' Up! UK Products

Today I am going to share a stylish sophisticated Thinking Of You card featuring three butterflies in peacock colours.

The three buterflies are sitting on a thread from the Hello Life Stamp Set and the greeting is from Sheltering Tree. The stamped layer all sits on some Silver Foil Embossed Vellum and Smoky Slate Card.

And then there are the butterflies themselves - how pretty are they!  You may be wondering if they are a sneak peek of a new stamp set, but they are not ... they are one of the beautiful butterflies from the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set but rather than cutting them out with the intended die I have used the Elegant Butterfly Punch.  I love how they came out and hope you do too.  The colours are Tempting Turquoise, Elegant Eggplant and Bermuda Bay.

Adventure Bound - Project Life at the Sea Side!

When I was designing this Project Life Page for our team training last weekend I was dreaming ahead, thinking of sunny days I long to spend on the beach!  I love having pages ready ahead of time so I can just slot in the photos and this is definitely of the pages I am looking forward to living and then completing!

Rather than using any of the Project Life cards I have used the Adventure Bound Papers from Stampin' Up! UK.  The combination of photo realistic paper and patterns is so much fun to use.

I also used the Hello Life and So You Stamp Sets, along with some Painted Blooms Twine - we had fun making this net!

So Sweet Floral Card using Flower Shop and Petite Petals Stamps from Stampin' Up!

The card I shared with you yesterday had a wonderful busy look and the card I am going to share today could not be more different!  I have used the Flower Shop and Petite Petals Stamps to create a flower and the So Sweet sentiment from the Hello Life Stamp set to create the stem.

The colours are Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive.  The matching Pansy and Petite Petals Punches made cutting the flowers out really easy and I added a bit of sparkle with some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and a Rhinestone.

Which style of card do you prefer? Today's clean uncluttered card or yesterday's layerd and textured stamping?  Me?  I can't decide - I love them both!

How to Make a Beautiful Butterfly Bokeh Background for your Cards and Scrapbook Pages

When I showed this Butterfly Bokeh background on Facebook last weekend I had quite a few people contact me to ask how I had made it.

It was a lot of fun to make and so I did not need much persuading to make some more and out came the video camera.

These very fashionable backgrounds make a fantastic base for a card or an element for a Scrapbook Page.  I do have to admit that I have not yet used the original butterfly ones I made just yet - I am building up to that and think it will end up on a Project Life by Stampin' Up! Page.  Here however are the three cards which do feature in the video.

The stamp I have used on these three are from the Hello Life Stamp Set.

So Sweet Butterfly Card with a Stenciled Background

While I was in Orlando I spent a morning with friends making mixed media prints and it inspired me to dig out my Stampin' Up! Masks when I got home, and I spent a happy afternoon covering card and myself in ink as I made a whole load of backgrounds.  I have even made some of them into cards!  The rest are sitting waiting for me to do the same.  Today I am going to share one of those cards. 

The background is Coastal Cabanna and it has been sponged with Melon Mambo and Bermuda Bay ink using the Stripes Mask and a circle mask I made by punching out circles in various sizes.  I also added some Whisper White Ink to one side.  The stamp is from the Hello Life Stamp Set.  The Butterfly was cut from some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper using the Butterfly Thinlits Die.
