Whale Watching July 7

Matt and I went whale watching on our honeymoon and loved it.  We hoped to make it happen on this trip and it did.



This photo doesn't really do it justice, but I thought this water surface phenomenon was so intriguing.  Because of the different currents colliding, there were huge, perfectly flat and glassy patches spotted around normal water.

First sight of a whale! 

There were 3 swimming together.  Our boat captain/guide said it looked like they were in a resting mode.  They never really sleep, but keep moving with lots of popping up for breathing.  Sorry, there are lots of whale pictures.  We just couldn't help it!










Looks like a Bait ball is below.  There may be some predators in the area making the little fish swim defensively.
