This baby penguin is so cute and is happily
embellished with some cute additions from

The penguin brads from Eyelet Outlet
really highlight the border. In addition are some clear

The sentiment is highlighted by a strip of the

Penguin Party

Here is some fun with a penguin party. I think the little igloo must
be where the party is tonight. For this card I stamped the igloo and the water
using images from Peddlers Den. Then I water colored the scene and used a
sentiment which placed perfectly in the sky. For the frame I used washi tape from
Eyelet Outlet & Brads, The brads also from Eyelet Outlet & Brads featured the snow tree
and, of course, the penguins. Finally, I added a bit of washi to the corner and gems.
Tex Snow and a little glitter rounded out the scene.

The Eyelet Outlet shopping list for today is
Penguin Brads
Snow Tree Brads
Color Wheel Washi
Bumpy Bling (clear)

Thanks so much for joining me today.

There's Snow Place Like Home

I'm enjoying all of the fun Christmas in July posts I've been seeing this month on social media!  Here's one that helped me beat this brutal Texas heat wave we're experiencing right now.

These darling little Eyelet Outlet penguin brads are standing outside their igloo home that I found in the Cricut image library.  I turned this project into a shaker card filled with sparkling Eyelet Outlet snowflake sequins and then for even more sparkle, I added some gorgeous snowflake bling.

Thanks for stopping by and "chilling" with me today!

Lauren's Holiday Favorites!

I (Lauren) am excited to look back on several years' worth of Eyelet Outlet holiday cards and choose a few to show off today!

This Peaceful Winter card from last December shows off all my favorite winter animal brads as holiday ornaments: sweet Polar Bears, handsome Moose and adorable Penguins; as well as Pine Tree Brads, Snowflakes and Jewel Bling Strip ornament hangers.

This coffee-centic card, Fa-La-La-La Latte, is from November 2019, and features our Holiday Coffee CupsHolly Brads and Poinsettia Washi; all of which I still adore!

This fun mini gift bag was part of our multi-designer 2017 Christmas in July Wrap-Up post, and it's a favorite because of how FAST and flexible the design is: I added a Men's Hat Brad and some Pearl Bling buttons to a stamped snowman, a Candy Cane Brad to Solid Color Paper Flowers and an eclectic mix of Washi Tapes (including Wide Tree WashiMerry Christmas TapeMusic Note TapeSkinny Solid TapeSkinny Hearts Washi) which I selected almost randomly. Such a fun way to add personal style to an inexpensive gift bag!

Penguin Christmas Greetings!

Hey everyone! It's July and you know what that means! We get to break out our Christmas supplies and chill out during a hot time of year. One great way to do that is to break out the holiday themed Eyelet Outlet products.

This card was very simple and quick to do. I made a Kraft A2 card base and splattered it with white acrylic paint mixed with water. After it dried, I strung a brown jute cord between two Screw brads. Then I placed three cute penguins on it. I added Holiday Lights to the cord to make it look like a light cord.

I cut the sentiment out with a die in green and white glitter cardstock. After placing them on the card, I placed Snowflake bling and two Snowflake brads. I added two Snowflake Bling pieces in green to finish off this whimsical card.

Calendar Girl

When I (Lauren) saw this super-fun, extra-wide Calendar Washi in the Eyelet Outlet Store, I knew immediately that I wanted to adorn it with a year's worth of seasonal brads. I confess it didn't occur to me that I'd wind up with with 29 brads from 21 sets on a 6.5 x 5.5" card; but that's cool too!

Here's the brad list, month by month; try to spot my very silly mistake! January: Penguin and Snowflake Brads; February: Heart Brads; March: Bluebird and Robin Brads plus a Mini Bee; April: Chick and Colored Egg Brad; May: Colored Daisy and Mini Ladybug; July: the Hat from our patriotic Flag and Hat set; June: Tall Palm Tree and Colorful Sunglass Brad; August: Ice Cream and the Sun from the Sun and Cloud Brad set; September: Book Brad and a School Bus; October: Pumpkin and Mini Spiders (they're on sale!); November: Mini Leaves and the Rake from our Lawn Mower set; December: Santa and Mrs. Claus.

So did you catch the error? Yep. I accidentally swapped June and July!!! And what's more I didn't even notice until I was writing up this post! Oh well, technically June has Flag Day and July is still a nice month for the beach, so let's just keep this between ourselves, ok? Thanks!

does actually know the months of the year...

Peaceful Winter

A simple, snowy card featuring baubles filled with wintery Eyelet Outlet wildlife brads: PenguinsMoose and Polar Bears, oh my!

I diecut three ornament shapes, each composed of navy paper flecked with snow for the sky; and white glitter paper for the ground. Then I added two Penguin Brads and a small Snowflake; a stately Moose Brad in front of a Pine Tree; and a mother and baby Polar Bear. I mounted the ornaments on foam tape for extra dimension and positioned them under some sparkly pine branches, then added clear Bling Strips as hangers. I think they're SNOW fun and festive!

Christmas ATCs with a sparkle

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! I hope you've had a great week! Leslie here sharing a set of three sparkly Christmas ATCs. I'm a confirmed ATC addict and I love creating both cards and coins!

I created one coin and two cards. An artist trading coin is a 2-1/2" circle (I use a punch) and an artist trading card is 3-1/2" x 2-1/2". My standard practice is to always punch two circles or cut two rectangles so that I can decorate one and adhere another one behind it for stability.

To create the 'Joy' coin, I placed a strip of Glitter Tall Tree Washi Tape horizontally across the coin base and added three Penguin Brads and the sentiment die cut from silver foil cardstock. Then I adhered a second punched circle behind it.

To create the 'peace' card, I covered the card base with Wood Washi Tape and then die cut the sentiment into the covered card base, saving the negative space pieces to add back in later. I added three Prancing Deer Brads and just prior to adhering the second rectangle behind it, I added two small strips of Glitter Brown Washi Tape to the extra card so the sparkle would show through the die cut sentiment. Once I adhered the second rectangle, I glued in the negative space pieces to the p, e, a and the second e.

To create the 'merry' card, I covered the card base with Glitter Gold Dots Washi Tape and added the sentiment die cut from red cardstock along with a thin red cardstock strip across the bottom. I adhered the stamped word Christmas and then added one Cardinal Brad and two Cardinal Profile Brads. Then I adhered a second rectangle behind it.

Thanks so much for stopping by today - we'll see you next time!

Merry Christmas Lantern

It's July and of course that gets me thinking of Christmas in July. I wanted to use the uber cute Penguin Brads and Polar Bear Brads and this seemed like a great time to pull them out even if it is 95 degrees outside right now!

I made the background using the Santa Washi Tape in strips on top of a white card base. I had a snowflake embossed vellum rectangle in my stash that I had left over from a different project and I think it's great on top of the Santa background. I die cut the lantern and glued it to the velum. The lantern was the perfect size for one of the penguins and bears. These are so cute together in this little scene!

I used my Cricut to cut the banner but I lined the white cardstock with both the Silver Star Foil Washi and the Glitter Gold Washi before I cut it. I have not done this before but it worked great. You can do the same thing with any steel dies too. I love that I can get a bit of glitter and shine without cutting into an expensive glitter or foiled cardstock. Once cut, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with silver embossing powder.

To finish it, I layered two of our Red Paper Flowers together and put White Glitter Enamel Dots in the center to create a pointsettia look. I also used Silver Glitter Enamel Dots on the banner.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy a little Christmas this July!

Chillin' With You

Today's card entitled "Chillin' With You' is not the typical Valentine's Day card; it has no pink, red, flowers, nor any hearts!  It's a Valentine's card to honor our friendships.

This card, featuring Eyelet Outlet's beautiful penguin and polar bear brads, delivers a simple message:  "I like chillin' with you"! and the inside of the card says "Happy Valentine's Day".

Looking through my stamp sets, I found the sentiment (by Stamps of Life) and thought it was perfect for the penguin to convey his thoughts to the polar bear!  From that point it was easy to create a snowy background with Eyelet Outlet White Pearls and ice glitter (by Stampin' Up).  The pond (by Paper Crafting Essentials stamp) was a great place to complete the scene.  The bow may be omitted or replaced with some cording or baker's twine.

The penguin and polar bear brads are so much fun to work with!  I am excited to work with them on future cards and encourage everyone to hop on over to the Eyelet Outlet site to pick up their penguins, bears, pearls, and more.   There's still time to create your special Valentine's Friendship cards!

What's Black and White...

...and black and white... and white... and white... and white... and white?! Penguins in a snowstorm!!! Or, to be more specific, the brand spankin' new Eyelet Outlet Penguin Brads in a couple of snowstorm cards. Like these:

I (Lauren) am always excited when a finished project turns out looking EXACTLY like the idea that was in my head. And this was one of those times! I knew I wanted loads of diecut snowy hills stretching far into the distance with Penguins the only creature in sight. I wasn't absolutely sure if a landscape or portrait card would be best, so I decided to just make both.

My second card features fewer Penguin Brads, but I've compensated by adding Snowflake Brads, to get a little more action into the scene.

I hope that you'll be inspired to make something fun today; and I also hope there is less snow than this where you live!
