Retro Polaroid Camera Birthday Card

Remember the good old 70's when the instant Polaroid Camera was all the rage? I was a child but child or not, everyone found it magical and fun. The pictures weren't that great but hey, it was the joy in watching the photo develop in front of your eyes that never grew old!

My card is an homage to the polaroid camera. It's a birthday card for people of a certain age. That would be me and others older than me I suppose. This was super fun to design. I used Star Brads and the cameras from the Travel Brads. I also used a single clear stippled jewel brad for the camera button. The polka dot border is Green Dot Washi Tape. It turned out so cute!

Salt Shaker Floral Arrangement

Ok…so I know Christmas was only a month ago, but Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it. I'm sure a lot of you are like me and love getting and giving flowers but they are just so expensive and they only last a week or so. It's always sad when they wilt and I have to pitch them in the trash. Kinda depressing, if you ask me.

I created the perfect flower arrangement that not only cost waaaay less than real flowers, these ones will last forever! No more having to pitch dead daffodils, lackluster lilies, raunchy roses or mushy marigolds (that was fun...lol 😊).

I shopped my house for the things I needed to make this like some paper straws, floral wire, heart shaped confetti and misc. buttons.  You know the ones that you keep…just in case. The only thing I didn’t have was a salt shaker so I headed to the Dollar store and grabbed one. You’d be surprised at how many fun things you can find if you shop your house.

This was such an easy project to do and didn’t require me to shop all the craft stores for supplies. With some of Eyelet Outlets love themed brads and bling, I had everything I needed. I ended up using several different colored hearts from the Heart Brads and two beautiful pink and red Rose Brads. To add sparkle, and you know I Iove me some sparkle, I added a Hot Pink Pearl Brad, a Red 12mm Jewel Brad, and two red Stippled Brads (12mm and 16mm).

So, if you feel like mixing it up a bit this Valentine’s Day, make your own flower arrangement. With embellishments from EO and a few things laying around your house, you can create this too!  I mean, who wouldn’t smile ear to ear if they received this?!?!?

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE-UP CRAFTY!

Make a Golden Wish!

Today I have a card with lots of glitz and glam. I started by foiling the gold frame and the sentiments on a black cardstock. Then the fun began as I added the lightness of White and Yellow Paper Flowers from Eyelet Outlet. They are secured with a 12 MM Stippled Jeweled Brad. I added Fresh Flowers Bright Brads and Butterfly Brads. I love how this looks so elegant but yet equally cheerful.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Sunday everyone! Today I'm celebrating Easter with an egg shaped card. I cut the shaped card using a Cricut pattern. I cut a smaller egg shape out of marbleized cardstock and proceeded to decorate it.

I cut the phrase out of gold foil cardstock and glued it to the front. I added Eyelet Outlet embellishments to reflect the Easter theme.

Be Thankful!

Autumn is here and I am loving it!

I love that the season of Autumn cultivates a time of thankfulness. I love the sentiment "be thankful" and was so excited to create a card with thankfulness in mind! I stamped my pumpkin image on patterned paper and colored in with markers. I layered the be thankful washi on tan cardstock and added all the fun embellishments! Flowers, jewels, and brads! I love that the flowers were white! I distressed 2 of them with fall colors for added dimension! Before adhering my card together with foam tape, I distressed the edges with inks.
I think this would be a fun greeting card to send to a friend to tell them how thankful you are their friendship!  Here are a few items from Eyelet Outlet you will need to create this card!

Flower Pot in Bloom

Today I am using some of the fabulous paper flowers from the Eyelet Outlet
as the highlight of this card. The flower packets come in a single color
but I love the fact that each packet includes multiple sizes so
you can layer them. You can also add a little colored ink
to them with a sponge which makes them very versatile. I put a little
bit of yellow ink on my white flowers. I attached the flower layers
with a stippled jewel brad before I added them to the card.

The flower pot is a die cut and the ribbon is hand made. To add
a little more sparkle I used the 5mm jewel strips from Eyelet Outlet
in the turquoise and champagne colors.

Next week I will displaying a cute Halloween card.
See you then.

Pretty Floral Thank You

Once in a while I feel like breaking out some lace and flowers and getting all girly. Today is the day! This card features several EO products that make this girly girl card j-u-s-t right!

To start this card, I made an A2 base card. I then cut a background piece out of white cardstock. I placed two strips of Flower Washi Tape - Wide on the piece. The washi tape has a very soft floral pattern with several flowers on top of a script background. On top of that I placed a doily I cut with a pattern from Cricut Design Space. I shaded the edges with Distress Oxide ink. Next came some purple swirl bling at an angle. Then I placed two leaf sprigs and a layered Paper Flower held together with a 12 MM Stippled Brad in Purple. Then I die cut the Thanks sentiment and added a few more leaves before finally adding a purple Stitched Flower - Bright brad.
