haaiiiiyaaaa, i felt so sad today! My excitement bubble burst instantly after a phone call from Mich ytd night... Uncle Roy told her that we cant go for live onboard advance scuba course this end july coz the boat, Mata Ikan, is not available!!! bbwwaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Mich, fei n me are all looking so forward to this trip, i even reserved 28-31 July just for it, and wrote "Advance Scuba trip" in my calendar, but now, aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! Totally no mood ahhhhhhhhhhh... Actually we can still take the course during that period, but we will be going to P. Dayang instead of having a live onboard to Kuantan.. aiyaa.... *a brief meaning of live onboard - thru out the entire trip, which is about 3 days, we will not step foot onshore, no hotels, no cars, no roads, no other humans except us and the boat crew... Just the sound of waves and smell of sea... In short, we just live on the boat for the whole trip.*
But but but, not to fret amber (heh like wat sia.. consolling myself..chey!), we have BETTER PLANS NOWW!!!! mmuuuhahahhaaaa... We might go ahead to P. Dayang in july, den when December comes, we will go for a live onboard at Koh Similan (its a combination of 9 islands located at Thailand)!!!! After the dive, we will den head down to Bangkok for hard-core SHOPPING!!!!! Fwaaaaaahhhh.. the more i think about it, the more happy i become... So, it might just be a blessing in disguise that the boat isnt available durin July. Not only can we save money on the course (if go Dayang, we pay S$360, if live onboard, we needa pay at least S$500), we can also do more stuffs in the later part of the year. Money wise, wat we save on the course will be used for shopping, so makes no difference, watever it is, still need to SPEND!!
Alamak! must start saving for trips again.. money really not enuf ahhhhhhhhh!!!

Went shopping for Feli's present with Fei, and in just 30 mins, we managed to get the present. Then it was our turn to shop for ourselves, heh. We each bought a pair of heels from Tangs. Not that i will die if i dont get it, but im thinking, i need a proper footwear for work. But it cost me 30 bucks, darn. Wanted to go home after the shoe-buy, which was ard 815, but, we happened to bump into Suh n Daph at TOPSHOP. N since we havent met each other for dunno how long, we headed down to mos burger and tok all the way till almost 11pm. nice to meet frens out of the blue and still have so much to talk about.

Last sunday's training at the Zoo was a blast, i got to be a keeper for 1 full day! finally i have got a taste of what it was like to be a zoo keeper, and i really like it! I was attached to the Primate Kingdom where, like the name suggest, the main attraction is monkeys. Basically i was just following the 2 keepers in-charge ard, and watched them as they prepare the food for the monkeys. you can say that i was using my eyes to work most of the time, but i did help them out during feeding times. My job was to hand feed one of the free-ranging spider monkey and and throw fruits into the exhibit of celebes macaques. Besides that, i also fed the kois and catfishes in the ponds surrounding the exhibits. It may sound boring and not interesting at all, but being able to work behind the scene was really fun. You get to do stuffs that you never could as a visitor to the zoo, like entering the RESTRICTED AREA: KEEPERS ONLY places whenever you like... dats pretty cool... Oh i also got to help out at the Elephant Show, but just to hand baskets of fruits to visitors who wanna feed the elephants.
All in all, zoo-keeping equals to tough manual work, but im still very game to become one. Nothing beats being able to work in the wild (kind of) surrounded by animals. I found out from one of the keepers that there are only abt 7 to 8 female keepers in the whole zoo, not including the show presenters, and that makes me want to join even more. I just love being part of the minority group.

i have dyed my hair purple again... but it looks just like ordinary black hair under normal lightings, only under the sun den can you see the purple. I look so funny and weird in dark coloured hair. When people all have black hair, im the only one with brown hair, and people thought that i dyed it when its natural. Now, when almost everyone is spotting brown hair (yes that only exclude Ching and Queen, who still have jet black hair), here I go dying my hair dark purple. And peeps who cant see the actual colour would think that i have natural black hair. Life is just so funny, when its the truth, people dont believe it because i look different from the rest, and when im faking it, people took it for real. Sometimes i wonder, do people really see me as who i want them to? or am i a totally different person from who i am in their own world....
Im just doing random talking, and no, im not under any kind of problems or depression or watever u guys can think of... Im as good as before.

Singaporean men are generally UNgentlemen. I have met with too many that i always have this urge to yank the guy's head before he can do anything, whether or not he is going to display his ungentlemantly behaviour. Let me quote a few examples.

I was on my way to work one morning and my mood wasnt too good coz its the morning and im going to work. Ok thats not the point... So, i was approaching the Tanah Merah MRT ticket gate, when this MAN just happily cut in front of me when i was about to reach the ticket gate and tap his card on the reader and walked off WITHOUT EVEN TURNING HIS BLOODY HEAD! If he were to at least turn and say "sorry, im in a hurry", i wouldnt feel so pissed. But nooooooooo, he didnt bother to turn, and he obviously dont look like he's in a hurry. So why cant he behave like a gentleman and let me, a female, to go thru the gate first., instead of choosing to squeeze himself in front of me and go before me. Cant you just wait for a mere 5 seconds or so... Bloody bastard... if i wasnt a civilised girl, i would have cursed him till his balls rot.

I was at the Ang Mo Kio MRT bus-stop waiting for 24 to go home after an entire day of training at the Zoo, and i was really tired and hungry, so that made me an angry person. When 24 came, it stopped in front of me, and i was about to board the bus when this stooooopid uncle (MAN again! *bish bish!*) cut into my way from the left and practically pushed me away so that he can get his fat arse up the bus. HELLOOOOO!! would it kill to wait! and there was no one behind me, you can farking push all you want AFTER I GET UP THE BUS!!!! He was lucky that i had a seat to rest my anger and tiredness, if not, i would have flared at him and he wont see tomorrow.

I was again ard Ang Mo Kio area tryin to flag down vacant cabs for almost 15mins but to no avail, so i decided to walk to a further taxi stand to try my luck. I was already running late for my training by the way. I kind of reached the taxi stand at the same time as this guy (MAN MAN MAN...wat else can i say) and we were both not in the proper queue. Nevertheless, we were waiting for cabs to stop. So, 1 cab stop, and u know wat our dear fren did? He just went ahead to open the door and plant his butt onto the seat and off he goes. pardon my vulgarities, but KNNBCCB... he could at least offer to let me go first rite? If he would have offered, i would still let him have the cab even tho im already late, since he is nice enuf to let me have it. But i guess that would only happen in my dreams!

Im not saying all Singaporean men are shit-head bozo kan chiong arses, i have met a few nice ones, but its just sad that the majority are those with all sorts of ugly behaviours. There should be a week call Gentleman Week, where guys are to put on their bestest gentleman acts (i would be happy even if they were to PRETEND to have 1) and treat ladies like ladies.

Had dinner ytd at this Turkish restaurant along Arab street with Mich. We have always wanted to try out the food there coz everytime we walked pass the place, the food look and smell so good. So, we settled in at ard 740pm, ordered our food (a pot of Assam Tea, a Shish Kotaf Kebab for me, a Bi'mia for Mich, and an interesting side dish) and was waiting for the food and fei. We were talking and talking, and after like half an hour, the side dish came.
Looked really simple but the taste is WHOAAAA... dunno wats it made of, but the way to eat is to dip the bread into a whitish paste. Very good n very filling. Saved some for Fei, so didnt finish it, and we continued to wait for our main dish. Mine came ard 9pm, yes i know, it very long.... The lady who served us apologised for the delay, saying that there's 3 tables of VIP from the embassy eating there and have to serve them first bla bla, so ok no complains.
The Shish Kotaf Kebab is not like the ordinary kebab, not the wrap wrap kind. Its has a more western feel, coz maybe i ordered it with wedges. Its actually minced lamb fried into long oval shape, and there's a dip for it. I have to say it taste good ah.... there's only abt 5 pieces of minced lamb, but with the wedges, its enuf to blow ur belly. Mich's Bi'mia only came ard 920pm, and at first look, we tot was just normal brown spicy curry. But no, tis not spicy at all (relieve to Mich) and no curry taste, cant really describe it ah. There are also chunks of mutton in it and she ate it with bread, wrapping it like its Turkish poh pia.
Fei came down ard 940pm and she managed to clear almost all the leftovers. The food really live up to our expectations, and another thats popular there is the smoking of Shisha (dunno how to spell). ITs smoking from a water pipe or something, we didnt try it, and i tot the smell was too fragrant. Officially we finished dinner at 1015pm.
After dinner, we headed up to the dive shop above the restaurant (its a whole stretch of shop houses along arab st ah) coz we need to submit our photos for our certification card. We kind of just chilled at the shop with our instructor, talking, playing with the resident doggie there (her name's Baby Bear and she a chicken man... very timid) , watch some video, talk some more, and before we know it, it was 1am. We couldnt believe it either, but its true, stayed there for 3 hrs, and its only monday....... Wat a good way to start the week, relax all the way ah. And i have become a zombie after lunchtime today at work, and fell asleep right at my desk. Luckily my boss chose not to walk pass me at that time.

I have finally done myself right by sinking into the GSS mood on saturday! Couldnt resist the temptation any longer, and my bank is calling me to use it. So, with the idea of SHOPPING on my mind, i was determined to go down town and get the things that i need, like a pair of new sandals, a dress or something decent for a wedding ceremony the week after. These are supposed to be the priority, im sure there's others things coming up along the way. I got 2 shopping kakis (1 of them drives, which makes everything alot easier) with me and headed down to Orchard at ard 6pm.
Just walking in Taka shopping center (TSC) alone took about an hour and a half, and i came out of it with new bra and panties. Still no new sandals and decent clothings, nvm, carry on with the shopping. Moved out of TSC and into Zara, British India, Mango, Pepper Plus, still found nothing that i like, but did try on a few pants and tops and skirts at Zara and Pepper Plus. Too bad the sizes and colours ain't right. Continued up to Esprit, didnt get any clothes, but i did bought 2 perfumes. Being a typical singaporean, once i saw that 2 of the same brand are going at 49 bucks, i told myself, i have to get it. if u buy 1, its already 39 bucks, so y not rite! In the end, i came out of Red Earth with 1 different scent each. It was almost 10pm when we left Esprit, den we realised that we havent go to Charles n Keith yet! So we quickly made our way down there, controlling ourselves from entering TOPSHOP and NIKE in the mean while. After tryin the shoes here and there, we all didnt get any. Nothing fanciful i must say.
Went back to Taka to retrieve the car, and during our ride up to Punggol for supper, we did some reviewing. all 3 of us didnt get what we set out to buy, but at least we still bought things that are practical. Yes, practical is the word. And i actually broke my own record of shopping for 4 and a half hours straight! I didnt even go to the loo for once! Amazing how GSS can change a person's habit in just one trip. It may not be alot of things that i bought, but im glad with the turnout.
im still game for another round, and i really need to be disciplined and get my priorities right! Sandals and clothes must come first!!!!!!

Met Fei n Mich yesterday night for a post-diving chit chat session. From 7pm all the way to 1130pm, we managed to finish our dinner, do some shopping for bday cards, and then sat down at Starbucks for some gossips (we gals just love gossips dont we...) and also arranged our first Diving Photo Album. the quality of the pictures are much better that those that we saw on the computer, and i was amazed by how nice all the pictures turned out to be. Especially one that Mich took of the sun set.... whoa i tell you, really very beautiful... like some pro taking it man.... If i have the chance to borrow the album after our final touch-up of captions and stuff, i will show it to you all ah.
The chit chat session was so relaxing that we all thot it was already friday night, but alas, when reality set in, we had to move our butts out of starbucks at around 1145pm.... how sad we felt when there's still one more long day before the weekends..... We didnt wanna move, but the staff at starbucks were slowly closing in on us. How you may ask.. well.. we were sitting in the middle of about 5 sets of tables, so the staffs started putting the chairs up onto the table from both the corners, so yea, in front us chairs are up, behind us, chairs were up as well. So we kind of got the msg that they were asking us to scram. But the peeps at starbucks were nice, so i forgive them...

Oh yesh, if anyone were to read this part before Sunday 5th of June, can you kindly send me a sms to remind me to take passport size photos?? Thanks in advanced man, need to remember to take them for monday's use....

Grandma was sent into SGH few days ago becoz there's fluid in her lungs that cant be passed out. Visited her on monday, and im glad she still look very strong despite her age. But yesterday, my youngest uncle called for a family meeting in the evening regarding my granny's illness. Over the phone, he said that granny needs to go for dialysis asap for her lungs are too weak to remove the fluid by itself. if she dont go on dialysis, she only has 6 more months, but if she were to agree, she can hold on for another 1 1/2 years to 2 years. Of coz all of us want her to be on dialysis, but knowing how stubborn and how my granny cant sit still in one place fore long, it was quite a challenge for us. So we went to visit her yesterday evening and after that, sat down for the family meeting. The final decision was of coz to go ahead with the dialysis, even if she resist to it, and a roster was unofficially announced for who to accompany my granny for that 4 long hours. Lucky thing is that, my granny doesnt need to go to the centres for the treatment. Since hers is just to remove the fluids, we can do it at home for her. It may sound like a serious problem, but everyone took it quite normally. Half of the time during the "meeting", we were toking about other topics entirely ah. Thats the thing i like about my family, watever problems there are, everyone will make time out to sit down together and just talk. Right now, im just praying that my granny will be strong enuf to blow out the candles on her birthday cake, and strong enuf to take the traditional each-family-to-take-with-grandma-on-her-bday pic. But this will happen only in November, so yeah... keep praying for the best...
