Last week, a couple of us were toking about how fast 2005 is passing us by.... without much notice, we are already entering into the 2nd half of 2005, but it still feels as though we had just crossed into it. looking back at the past 6 months, have you really achieved what u set out to achieve? Or you resolutions, have you done those stuffs? If you havent, its really time to go do them. Try to put down whatever you are doing, be it work or school, to just think back of the stuffs you wanna do. And if its within your reach, do work towards that, coz u will never know where it will lead you to. Life is a gamble, so why not just bet on the DO ITs den the DONT DO ITs. At least you have a 50% chance of succeeding while going for that something. It definitely beats sitting there and just think of it to happen. Entertain yourself with some action, it will mark a new chapter in your life. Committments and cash flow issues are just hurdles to overcome, nothing is impossible, so dont give up watever dreams you have so easily. Hope the 2nd half of 2005 will be a better, more fulfilling half for everyone, life is too short to wait, achieve as much as you can.

my previous post was damn loooooooooong ah.... hehehee, took me almost three days to complete it ahhhhaaaa..... so now you know why i say patience....
Just to add a little bit more on the trip, the other divers who came along with us were crazyyyy bunch of peeps man... We talk, we joke, we play, we suan one another, all in a matter of a day.... Luckily we have them as company, if not it will be a veryy miserable journey...
Oh yesh i have to gossip about the other group whos sharing the boat with us man.... All of them totally turn me off la....
Lets start off with the instructor, he is such an irritating, irresponsible, farking lazeeee piece of shit man... As an instructor, you have to have all the necessary gears and stuffs rite? but for him, uh-uh, he dun bring his own stuffs and always go around borrowing from other instructors. He borrowed weight belts, dive tables, torches, ropes and other stuffs from us, basket.... If he is my instructor, i will freak man, everything also must borrow... Den ah, we heard him shouting at his students for a very small matter... Who would like the feeling of being shouted at while on a holiday?? Felt like just giving him a tight slap sia.. And he is ultimatedly LAZYY!! While roy and Yao (our dive master) were helping to move tanks from another boat, he happily just help to carry the masks and snorkels. I also can do laaaa!!!! who needs ur help man! And hes always the first one to eat while the others are still helping to clear the stuffs... TMD....
Now we move on to the students of the bum... They totally took after him la.... everytime after a dive, they will come up, go straight into the DRY area without taking off their WETsuits. Hellooo?? we dun call the place DRY AREA for nothing u know... All our valuables like cams n towels and ciggies (chain smokers ah everyone) that we wanna keep dry are there la.... And they totally just stay inside all the way w/o packing their gears, leaving it all over the boat like its their own like dat...
Theres this 1 girl who has this sickly face everytime the boat moves, i look at her i also feel like puking every tho i have no motion sickness... just dun understand that face.... got this other girl, she wears sports shoe with quite long socks all the time.. Who in the rite mind would wear that? its either u wear slippers or dun wear la... my goodnessssss... Den this 3rd woman, she had the cheek to come ask us if we TOOK her weight belt when she couldnt find it. Y would we wanna take ur bloody things when u guys still have to borrow from us? Fuck off la.... and serves you right for not puttting them together after dives la...

so now u know y im damn glad of the company i have... Im glad my frens (Fei n Mich) are fun and entertaining, im glad that my fellow divers (Jean, Yao, Victor, Jess, James, Phillip n Sharon) are plain mad, sporting and downright hilarious peeps, and lastly, im damn glad that my instructor (Roy) is bloody responsible and patient with a wacky sense of humour somewhere in him.

heres Some pics from Mich's cam....

WWWWHHHHHHOOOOOOOAAAAAAA

Its one of the feelings that explained my Tioman trip.
Day 1, 21/05/2005, Saturday
Started our frst dive at 1135 hrs at this dive site call Tumuk. Honestly speaking, i was really nervous when making the plunge into the waters, but once underwater, nervousness became curiosity, started exploring the sea bed for fishes! Managed to see some really pretty ones, though i know nuts about them. Oh yesh, theres a car at the bottom of the sea bed. Apparently, the Malaysian govt wants more corals n marine life at Tumuk, so they dump the entire car there. We were thinking that the make of the car is Proton ah.
2nd dive was at this very far end call Malang. Everything was going real smooth when we were underwater, but the moment we headed back to the surface, mama miaaaaa..... its was pouring like mad and the current was frightening man! I was the first to surface and I started panicking when the currents pushed me away from our safety bouy and nearer to another boat. i felt like i was gonna slam into the boat or something. To make matters worse, i cannot see my instructor and my frens at all!! At that point i really freaked out la. Trying damn hard to swim against the current and away from the boat but in the end tire myself out. Luckily I managed to spot the others (about 10 metres from me, like dat helps ah) and they were guiding me towards our own boat. That dive really scared the shit out of me man. Good news was everyone returned safely on to the very-rocky-due-to-the-monster-currents boat.
Day 2, 22/05/2005, Sunday
SUNday really meant SUNny!!!! HHHHHHHHOOTTTTTT AHHHHHH!!! But no complains, after the scare from the previous dive, anything without rain is A OK! 1st dive site of the day was at Marine Park, where we can feed the fishes! Once we fished (no pun intended) out the bread, all sorts of fishes cramped rite in front of my face dat i cant see a thing. The sickening thing about fishes is, they just bite on watever they can see, including my wetsuit and my fingers!! TMD, painful sia....
Something exciting happened also... The visibility was really bad due to the sand at the sea bed, so i could only see at most like 3 m aways. So me n my buddy (Mich) were happily swimming at the back of our instructor (Roy) den suddenly, Roy's fins started fading away from our sight, totally cannot see him. Inside me, i was screaming at the top of my voice for Roy to stop and turn back, and at the same time, Mich n me tried to swim faster to catch up with him. Heng both actions were achieved and we are happy once again. Its sudden situations like this dat made the dive a whole lot interesting when u cant spot any nice fishes.
At the next dive site, we spotted a sting ray!!!!! Its sooooo pretty, with blue spots on the back. The first thing that came to my mind was, "hmmmm.... how yummy will the sting ray taste like when peng kan with sambal belachan..." hhahaaa, just joking, im not that mean ok.... Roy also picked up a sea slug a.k.a nudibranch, my goodness, its colours are soooo vivid dat it doesnt even link to the word SLUG la. Its bright blue in colour with some pink on it. I
actually had the chance to see a turtle, but because i was too kind, i totally missed it!!!! Supposedly, Mich n I were to descend to the bottom first, but being the nice people that we are, we let Fei n Phillip go first. Den heng heng (for them) suay suay (for us), Fei n Phil saw the turtle swimming AWAY..... Basket, cant that turtle just wait a little while more den swim away....
After this 4th dive, we have graduated to a Certified OWD!! Yeeeiiii.... from now on, we can start to do FUN DIVES!!!!!
We did 2 more dives at Soyak and Renggis respectively. The Soyak dive was an experience man.. First we saw a small crab swimming around us while we were floating on the water surface, den when u got under, the currents became real strong that all of us couldnt fin straight, everyone ended up swimming sideways. And i occasionally collided against the tall corals.. ouch... After a while, Roy started having cramps on BOTH legs, and that gave us (the students) quite a scare. Imagine ur instructor having cramps in front of u amidst the strong currents. Havent finish ah, as we were swimming passed some corals, Roy saw something that made him jumped, and i really meant JUMPED... I was at the back and i couldnt stop laughing when he did that. He saw a Triggerfish, which is well-known to attack divers coz they are damn territorial.
Our last dive of the day was at Renggis, where there are 2 resident black-tipped sharks and
turtles and barracudas and other special fishes. Too bad we didnt get to see any of those except for the barracudas, damn disappointing dive la....
Day 3, 23/05/2005, Monday
Last day at Tioman, and we were already out for our 1st dive at 8am... killer timing. Caught some sleep on the deck of the boat, but was rudely awoken few mintues later. Y? coz we had a new girl joining our dive. okok, i explain a little here ah, the actual group comprises of me, FEi, Mich, Phillip and Roy. But for this dive, PHillip abandoned us and instead, this girl from another dive school joined in. At first i tot mich n me will be buddy, den Fei n this girl will buddy, but noooooo..... The turn out was, me, mich n fei are buddies, and Roy will be with this girl. Knowing dat we were quite puzzled by the arrangement, Roy secretly told us that the girl's instructor told roy to "look out for her". Only until we reached the bottom den we knew wat he really meant. Side track abit ah, this girl already gotten her OWD, so shes supposed to have more experience than the 3 of us ah.
Ok back to the dive. Problems started coming as early as we were goin down... her balancing was so bad that i had to support and guide her down so that she will stop struggling to get down. This only the beginning.... when we are at near the sea bed, we will neutralised our bouyancy, so that we can float in mid-air w/o touchin the corals and all. But ah, she totally cannot la... She was in front of me, so i could see that she was tryin damn hard to keep herself floating, and mean while, destroying some corals along the way. I see alredy i also pek chek ah, dun understand y she cant float, shes not fat at all la....
The ultimate was during the dive, the formation was roy in front, me and tha girl behind him, den mich n fei behind us, but dunno y, the girl "vanished" in thin sea... all 4 of us didnt noticed she was missing until roy turned to check on us, and i tell u, it was funny yet worrying ah, coz we know that it wasnt our fault that we lost her, but since shes with us, her safety also impt ah. Den bo bian, roy had to head up to the surface to look for her, leaving the 3 of us with the leisure divers. We 4 dunno to laugh it off or wat ah when we were back on the boat. Wonder how she pass sia.....
Finally to our last dive of the trip.... Maybe the sea creatures knew that it was our last dive, they all started coming out... I saw 2 eels (so exciting!) and alot more new fishes that i have never seen before. Den there was this particular small shark-looking fish clinging onto roy's tank thru-out the whole dive, so cute sia, i suspect its a female who is attracted to him aaahahahaaa.... "she" seemed to be mesmerised by his tank coz she was laying tobalek against the tank and totally became lembek, we tried to flick her off also cannot.... den we also saw this massive hump-head parrotfish a.k.a lohan fish...
Everyone felt so sad after the dive coz we have to head back and face reality again..... hai.. morale damn low man... now i know how army boys felt every sunday evening.....

Work sux after a one-week break. Morale is still very low, but TGIF, will be on another break again. Out of office for 1 week, so what have i done exactly? At least im proud to say its fun stuffs..
The 1st Aid course was really good, learnt alot alot from it and made a couple of new friends in that 4 short days. The theory part was boring as usual, absorbing all the hard facts into a sleepy brain. The fun part was the practical, where we got to do bandaging and CPR and blah blah blah... Everyone was mummified and occasionally, ouches can be heard due to accidental pull of hair while bandaging the head, or banging into tables coz of bandage on the eye. CPR was interesting i must say, thanks to the dummy call Ann. Its a guy by the way. No matter how hard u blow air into its mouth, its blardy chest just refuses to inflate, and that can get you real irritated. Just felt like slapping him awake man. But once you get the hang of it, u feel pretty good abt yourself. Well, my course ended yesterday and I am a certified First Aidder now (thank you thank you), now im patiently waiting for the cert to be ready ~tap tap tap~.....

Besides this, I have also completed both my pool sessions quite successfully. And like i said earlier, my monthly fren did come, and thanks guys for the tampon suggestion. I did try it but i just couldnt get it in. Got fed up, so i went into the pool without it. But but but, the lucky thing was that nothing flowed out. heh. I was guessing its becoz of the water pressure and also the wet suit i was wearing. Its so freaking tight that it just stop all my blood circulation.
The stupid tank is so heavy that i almost fell back into the pool while getting out. It felt so freaking light in the water that i forgot that it was there. Im sure u all have seen clips of peeps scuba, and it looks so effortless rite? WRONG!!!! It took me forever jjsut to float in the water man... Without knowing it, i would be either lying flat on the bottom of the pool, or rising straight up to the surface. Difficult la i tell you.
Its not the end of it yet, there's still THE FINS. I felt so immobilised wearing the fins man, u cant walk properly, u cant float properly, and u cant kneel properly. The only thing u can do properly with the fins is to swim, full stop.
I know im gonna be very contridicting over here, but, u guys gotta go take ur scuba license as well man. Just imagine, all of us diving at the Great Barrier Reef, enjoying the sun, the sea, and the underwater world. How great is that!!!! Go peeps go!

its about time i take a break and get out of singapore for a while, thus i will be going to Tioman over the vesak holiday for some serious fun. Im so looking forward to this trip mainly because it will be my first ever diving experience., and also, my first visit to Tioman. I have already completed the theory part, now just waiting for the pool sessions next week and we are all set to go. One more good news, i wont be in the office the whole of next week, well almost. Will be in only on friday (20th MAy) coz i have to attend the 1st aid course from monday to thursday. ITs really quite amazing how things sometimes seem to be in such perfect order. My 1st aid course is mon to thurs 9am to 4.30pm, while my pool sessions are tues and thurs from 630pm. If I wasnt chosen to go for the course, there is no way i can reach Outram Secondary (thats where the pool sessions will be) even by 7pm, not to mention 630pm. Also, i will be leaving for Tioman on friday night, which means that i should be a qualified 1st aidder by then (that is if im able to clear the test on thurs). So if something minor were to happen at some point of time, hopefully it wont, maybe i might be of some help then. But i know for sure that 1 thing is confirm + guarantee 100% with a chop will happen to me, and that is, my monthly fren will visit me. I predict it will come either on my first pool session, if not, on friday when im leaving. Not that im thrilled abt it going to Tioman with me, but its so not gonna stop me from diving underwater man. Meanwhile, im just praying for a miracle.

The whole of last week was such a bore, except for Sunday, where i had training at the Zoo. Had the Zoo's version of Amazing Race, and we were made to run all over the place and even to the Night Safari. From 1pm all the way to 5pm, we were zooming here n there in the rain. Really shacked everyone out, but it was cool, got to know the animals a whole load better and my groupmates as well (they are different entity by the way, animals are animals, groupmates are humans).
Sunday was also Mummy's Day, but my family didnt realy celebrate it. My bro just bought durians form my mum (exotic gift man) and we went for dinner at a coffee shop. No plans of going to a fancy restaurant coz it would already be fully booked and have to wait for ages to get a table, and as long as the company and food are good, anywhere is A O.K.
This week is gonna be jam-packed man. Here's a peek at what's going to happen in the following days :

Monday (today) - Heading down to Arab St for Scuba Diving theory lesson 1 after work
Tuesday - Scuba theory lesson 2
Wednesday - Dinner with the gals
Thursday - Scuba theory EXAMS!
Friday - Rugby training at Yio Chu Kang Stadium
Saturday - No plans yet (thank goodness)
Sunday - Docent training at the Zoo

Looks like Sat is the only day i can sleep in late ah, damn it....

oh yes, got to know this video thru a fren, and i was totally awed by it. U guys really have to see this la. It will only take abt 10 mins of your time. If i have half, ok not half, say 1/3 of the guy's talent, my art will be purrfect.

Be prepared for a jaw-dropping experience!

Went down to the Istana yesterday evening to pay my last respect to the late Dr Wee Kim Wee. It was my first and sadly, the last time i saw our former president. Its weird how much i feel for Mr Wee even though i was still a kiddo when he was in charge of Singapore. Maybe its because he is the first President that i have ever known, that's why he left such an impression in me. One thing that i vividly remember about Mr Wee is his smile. Everytime i see him on the TV or newspapers, his signature smile is always there. You can somehow tell whether a person's smile is genuine, and everyone knows that Mr Wee's smile is always from the bottom of his heart.
While standing near the coffin and offering my final prayers to Mr Wee, i couldnt help but shed tears for him. Besides appearing to be very thin (probably due to his age n sickness), Mr Wee still have the fatherly look on his face, and it seems to me that the smile of his has never left him abit.

I have been staring at the blank post for more than an hour already, and i just couldnt find anything to blog about. Maybe im just too lazy to type..... One long weekend down, 1 more to go.... Cant believe how fast it went by. i slept in the entire Monday. my schedule for dat day went as follow :

woke up at 930am
brush teeth
stoned till 1030am
went back to sleep until 1pm
ate lunch
slept again ard 2pm
woke up at 6pm
ate dinner at 630pm
watched Tv till 11pm
slept till the next day

How fruitful...... But it feels damn good to just slack at home n not step out of the house even once. Wanted to go down Expo for the book fair, but the will power to sleep was much much stronger than the will power to go out.
