What Bannon and Trump Have in Common

They're both convicted felons.

Conservative firebrand Steve Bannon pleaded guilty to defrauding donors in a fundraising effort to build a wall along the southern US border in a deal that allowed him to avoid prison.

Bannon pleaded guilty to one state felony count of a scheme to defraud in the first degree and was sentenced to a three-year conditional discharge.

My guess is that he realized that he was probably going to lose at trial, and in that case, he would be back in prison. And this time, he can't rely on Trump to pardon his ass out of stir.

Companies Have Lawyers; Foreign Bribery Ed.

President Donald Trump on Monday signed an executive order directing the Department of Justice to pause enforcing a nearly half-century-old law that prohibits American companies and foreign firms from bribing officials of foreign governments to obtain or retain business.

“It sounds good, but it hurts the country,” Trump said of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, as he signed the order at the White House.

He can refuse to enforce the Act all he wants, but the truth of the matter is that a time will come when the Orange Felon isn't in office and the next president/AG can direct enforcement to resume, including looking at bribery that happened during the Putin Puppet's time. Any competent company lawyer knows that; they'll do their jobs and advise their clients most strongly to follow the law.

Ah, the Irony

OpenAI is complaining that DeepSeek stole all of the data from OpenAI that OpenAI stole from everyone else.

No wonder Sam Altman wants to hang around with the bloated Felon: They're both thieves without a shred of self-awareness.

Private Equity Firms are Criminals and Should be Outlawed

Here's another case in point: A private equity firm jacked up the price of fire trucks.

Private equity firms and funds are nothing but amoral vultures and pirates. Maybe after we get through the next four years, we can have a correction and start doing something about these thieves.

Maybe involving the use of tumbrels?

A Reminder for Today

Our soon to be First Felon. All Hail the Convicted Criminal-in-Chief!

All American presidents, living and dead, have had a total of thirty-four felony convictions.

Hard to See This as Anything Other Than Trash Removal

The Salisbury man who died Monday after he was shot by two Kannapolis police officers over the weekend was the ‘Pizzagate’ gunman arrested in Washington, D.C., in 2016 after he terrified people with a loaded AR-15 inside a restaurant.

[Pizza Asswipe], the man killed, made national headlines in 2016 when he entered Comet Ping Pong, a pizza restaurant in Washington, D.C., armed with an assault rifle and loaded revolver. He drove from Salisbury to the nation’s capital in search of an alleged child sex ring linked to Hillary Clinton — something he learned about from a fake news story, The Washington Post reported.

Besides whatever warrant he chose to fight it out over, he was also a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. he was going to go away for a lot longer.

Shooting it out with the cops never ends well for the clown opting to go down that route. It leads to decades in prison or a grave.

I feel bad for the cops who may have issues from killing this guy, and he probably has a mother who loves him, but no tears that this clown isn't breathing our air anymore.

This Will Be Off the National Media Radar in Three Days

Five people are dead and others injured after a shooting Monday at a Christian school in Wisconsin, the police chief says.

Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes says the suspect shooter is also among the dead
.

Just kids being killed at a school. Happens a lot. It's not as though they were CEOs of large companies, so a blip and it'll be gone.

Only one CEO was offed, so it's not like they're living under the same cloud of threat that schoolkids have done every day since 1999 or 2012.

A Pithy Observation

Normally, there would have to be at least two dozen kids shot dead while the cops stood around with their thumbs up their asses to generate the same level of collective angst that we're seeing from the press and the politicians over one dead CEO.

Rich Christian white straight male lives matter the most.

Not Sure if This is True

RUMINT is that the two people who called 911 to rat out the accused shooter of the UHC Scumbag CEO are being told they can't claim the reward because they didn't call through Crimestoppers to get a claim code. Just like the health care industry, screwing people over for not reading the fine print.

The Yelp reviews on the McDonald's in Altoona have been brutal. between that, the poisonous onions, and the chain now being the TOFF's favorite food, I'd sell the stock short.

RUMINT also is that there are people in the dead CEO's circle saying that he had plans to reform things. Yeah, sure. That sounds a hell of a lot like the cases where an armed robber is shot dead by a cop or a citizen and the dead robber's family claims that he was going to turn his life around and that he was going to use the money from this last job to pay his bus fare to seminary.

Rich Lives Still Matter More

Two days after the CEO of UHC was whacked, Yeremi Colino, a 17-year old migrant, was stabbed to death in the Financial District of NYC because he didn't speak English.

There is still no serious press coverage of the murder of that young man. They are still obsessed with the CEO murder. The ratio of cops working the CEO to those working the murder of Colino is probably on the order of a thousand to one, or more.

The lives of rich white men matter more. They always have.

No Reward for These Killers

Global interest in whacking a healthcare CEO, zero interest in some racists who killed a teenager because he didn't speak English.

Officials say two migrant teens were victims in a New York City stabbing, one fatally, after the teens were asked if they spoke English and they responded that they didn't.

Officials say a trio of men approached the teens around 7:40 p.m. Thursday night, when one of the men asked if the teens spoke English. When the teens said they did not, they were attacked, according to police.

The rules and concerns are different if the victim isn't white and rich. Bet the NYPD has maybe three detectives on this case, compared to the hundreds on the other one.

NRA Can't Catch a Break

Douglas Hamlin, who was appointed to lead the NRA this summer in the wake of a long-running corruption scandal at the gun rights group, was involved decades ago in the sadistic killing of a fraternity house cat named BK, according to several local media reports at the time.

I'm not going to discuss my thoughts about the sort of people who could do what was done to poor BK.

But man, if you're hiring for a company or organization that has a large public presence, do a deep dive on the web when you're vetting people. If you don't know how to do that, then drag your dead ass to your local university and hire a kid from computer sciences or library sciences to do it for you. A hell of a lot of newspapers have digitized their archives and dollars to doughnuts that searching those resources would have unearthed this story.

And if you're a candidate for such a job and you have some dirt like this in your past, then consider what will happen when someone digs it up. Even if the archives aren't searchable online, somebody out there will remember it and contact a reporter. So now, while few people may have know of it, now millions know about Doug the Cat-Burner
