Welcome

Welcome to my self-indulgent location for the stories (good and bad) that I can't prevent myself from writing. All comments and criticisms welcome. I post on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

A Preface to the A-to-Z Blogging Challenge and an Award

Tomorrow begins the A-to-Z Blogging Challenge. I'm looking forward to it, and I'm also a tad frightened by it. I means posting six times per week, and hopefully being able to respond to comments, while in the throes of exams and final projects, deep house cleaning and preparing for visitors for May's impending graduation (not mine, but my awesome husband's).

But, heck, here's hoping.

I've been planning my end of the event, wanting to have as many posts relate to writing as possible. But, because I want to make this interesting, I'm mixing it up a tad. Here's my plan.

I'm going to be asking for random words beginning with certain letters on my Twitter and Facebook accounts. I will compose a list of all the suggestions, and then choose based on a random number generator. Whichever word comes up, I will (somehow) relate to writing.

Stop by tomorrow when the fun shall commence!

PS--Today I'm taking suggestions for the letter C. Have any?

*insert poor segue here*

About a week ago, I received a beautiful comment from Deirdra at A Storybook World, notifying me of an award.

Thank you so much, Deirdra!

Good luck with the A-Z. I wimped out because I just didn't think I could commit enough time to it.

Looking forward to reading other people's though.

what a fun way to pick topics, though a little too random for the way i roll--or don't roll. whatever.

beautiful chaos

AJ, I can't promise I have enough time for it, either, but I'm going to try. I was disappointed to have missed it last year.

Michelle, it might be a little too random for me, too, but I wanted to try something different. Here's hoping my brain functions well enough through the whole month to keep up :)

The first thing that popped into my head was cuttlefish.

HA! I looked up at the pop out was loading and saw the cuttlefish suggestion. I LOVE THEM! ;)

You will do great in April-- and you'll have fun doing it.

One of my favorite words is a C word: CYNOSURE.

Cantaloupe. Or cutlery. Or crystal chandeliers. Or cooking. Comraderie (is that even a word? Am I allowed to make several suggestions?).

Anyway, I just wanted to wish you good luck with the challenge, and hope to see you through on the other end. My main concern is not so much my own posting (even though it probably should be), but how in the world I am even going to attempt to get around to other blogs (which I've already been notoriously bad with as it is for a while now) - now there are hundreds of new blogs I "should" visit. Yikes!

Ha! I love your twitter suggestion idea! Very nice! As for C words...

Conflict? Coupling? Courtesans? Caligraphy?
