We had a pretty good weekend! Of course you already read about Saturday. :) Sunday turned out pretty good. Gage was less ornery and much happier. He did pretty good in church. After church he had a good nap and then it was off to Grandma Ondee's House for a Halloween party. She had all kinds of fun stuff planned and lots of food.
Here are some photos from the weekend!
Apparently Gage was ready to be out of his pajamas. :)
We came home and bought some perogies just for fun. Gage seemed to like them. (sometimes he can't bear to leave his blanket for even two minutes to eat. Silly boy)
Playing in the leaves at the park. He wasn't into playing in the leaves much. He'd rather run.
We stopped by Taco Time for a crisp bean burrito. Gage kind of loves them. :) Lately, it has been the only thing he has eaten well. Maybe we'll have to go back. Refried beans are healthy, right? ha ha.
Grandma's Halloween Party. She even had a fishing booth!
We are excited for Halloween tonight! I think I may even go in to work late so I can go to a few houses with Gage.
Have a safe Halloween!

saturday ramblings.
It's been an okay day.
Nothing very exciting, but it's always nice to be home.
I even made homemade waffles and buttermilk syrup this morning for breakfast. yum.
Gage has been in a mood today... and not a great one. He only took a very short nap and it shows. He also woke up around 5:30 a.m. so I am sure that didn't help either. We were trying to do things to make him happy so we went and wandered around Kmart. He usually loves going and wandering around any shopping center. We usually go down the toy isle and play with all the toys to make him giggle. Today, that was not the case. He screamed and screamed because he wanted them all. We walked into the clothes section and he screamed that he wanted those. Same with the shoes. And the bedding. Basically he screamed most of the time we were there. We decided that maybe we would go to the park and let him run and play in the leaves. He seemed to enjoy that and the slide. But... eventually we had to leave. You can probably guess the rest. On the way home he screamed because the sun was in his eyes (we have the stick on window tints so it really wasn't that bad. ha ha).
Once we got home, he brought his blanket and sippy and sat on my lap for awhile. We ate popcorn and watched Project Runway. :) I can say it was the best hour of our day. He has been incredibly cute today, but very feisty too. I just love that boy. He definitely makes our days entertaining.
I haven't really decided what Gage is going to be for halloween yet. We have a party at my grandmas in less than 24 hours and I have yet to decide. We are excited for the party though! I don't know if I will be around on Monday to take him trick-or-treating so I am glad we are having a party.
We just put Gage down for bed. I hope he gets a good night of sleep!! :) There is currently an ice cream base in the ice cream maker, left over buttermilk syrup in the fridge, and the season finale of Project Runway to watch. Sounds like a pretty good saturday night to me!

It is really so?!?!
Am I really back?
I sure hope so!
I want to get back to writing daily about everything and nothing. Even posts without pictures. Ah! I know.
We have been doing well around here. We are just trying to keep caught up. I am working 4-7:00 p.m. as a custodian at the high school. It keeps me busy. And tired. I still sub occasionally, but I haven't lately.
Gage is growing crazy fast. He learns something new (or lots of things) everyday. He comes up with new words all the time that I had no idea he even knew. Today it was "clock". Who knew. He is one smart boy... and I am not even saying that just because I am his mother. ;) He knows well over 100 words. I am sure it's closer to the 200 range. He is talking in more complete sentences. I am sure you will be hearing much more about him and his daily accomplishments. Yesterday, after his bath, he was looking in the mirror saying, "handsome boy". He was making faces and laughing at himself. He then pointed at himself and said, "I funny". It was too cute. He is very good at saying complete words. He loves all think Mickey and Goofy. Although, his real love are cars and trucks. He can not get enough.
I still need to write a post about going to Ottawa. We had a great time that went far too fast. It was so good meeting Heather and Sarah! I wish we all lived a little closer (at least within driving distance). :) Sarah's wedding was perfect and so much fun. She is a good party planner.
I am so happy it's friday! It may have been a short week, but it sure seemed long. There have been a lot of things going on at the school that have made my job a little more tricky as I try to get everything done. I am thinking today is a normal Friday. So happy for that.
I haven't accomplished much today. I did the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, swept, a batch of laundry, and bathed and fed Gage. Yep, that is about it. But it's only 11:00 a.m. There is plenty of time left in the day to get something done. We HAVE to go shopping today for a few groceries. Our house is empty from being gone for a week and we have yet to go shopping. On Wednesday, Gage woke up and I went to get him his morning sippy of milk. I panicked as I noticed that we didn't have any milk. I didn't have a car and Dustyn was already at work. Luckily my dad loves us and was willing to run to the store and rescue us from our milk emergency. Thank heavens. A day without milk? I don't know how well that would turn out.
I am thinking it's nap time for Gage and that means shower time for me! yay! (If you have a toddler, do you wait until your babe is sleeping before you shower? (what if you have to go somewhere before nap time?) Or do you busy them with something? I am not brave enough to leave him with something and hope he behaves. I would probably find him on top of the bookshelf or something. (Funny I look up and he is trying to climb the bookshelf. Goofy boy).)
So there you have it. My random thoughts for the moment.
I hope you have a lovely day!
I sure hope so!

we are still alive. phew.
I am still computer-less. I most likely will be for quite some time.
Blogging on my iPod isn't that fun. Sorry. ;)
I have been working too much lately. It's exhausting.
Luckily this week involves a few afternoons off.
Phew. I may survive.
I miss reading blogs, I miss being "social" online.
I am sorry I haven't exactly been a good friend lately.
I can't wait to get back into the swing of things.
Gage is growing fast and is learning words faster than I thought possible. He makes me laugh everyday.
How I love him. I can't believe that he'll be 18 months old in a few days.
We are approaching the first anniversary of his finalization and sealing. I can't believe I am actually experiencing these types of milestones. I am one lucky lady.
Thank you Korin. Thank you Luis.
Thank you for letting us experience life with Gage. I can't imagine anything better. He makes life pretty darn great.
We love you both.

Wanna hang with us? ;)
We have had a pretty low key summer. We've had quite a few photo sessions and they seem to keep us busy. Luckily, it's a lot of fun.
Gage is growing fast. He is learning so much everyday. He talks like crazy and repeats mostly anything. He is a busy, busy boy. I can barely keep up with him.
I can't believe school starts in a couple of weeks. Dustyn starts a week from today. Crazy.
I am bummed we didn't get to go on a vacation this summer, but I am excited that we are going to Ottawa for Sarah's wedding in October! I can't wait.
Mostly our summer has consisted of getting Dustyn's Photography business up and going. We've been trying off and on for the past few years, but we are finally there and finally ready to be serious. It has been awesome. We've been in the middle of three weddings. They are a lot of work, but the most fun of all the sessions. I love being part of such an exciting and special day.
If you want to check out his current work, you can check out his blog. dustynallen.com and his instaproofs site. (You have to enter your email to view them, but that is just for email reminders to purchase prints before they go offline. You can opt out of the emails if you want to. Feel free to view all the sessions!)
He also has a facebook page! Right now we are having a giveaway for a free session once we get to 100 fans. So... go like his page! We'd love to hang out with you and snap a few photos! :)
I hope your summer has been awesome. I hope to be back to blogging. Eventually. But, right now I am still looking for a job. boo. Sometimes I hate being a responsible adult.
