May was so busy, I didn't have time to post everything that I wanted to. The month started off at Women's Conference! It was amazing (as it always is!) We were only able to go to one day, but it was so fun to be there with my sis! We have so much fun together!
After Women's Conference, we headed to our cousin Zack's wedding dinner. Aren't they such a cute couple?
They had some amazing food!
Her family was Tongan, and they definitely know how to party! They had some amazing music and dancers! It was awesome!
Crew tried to dance like them!
Shake it baby! He was cracking us up all night! You've got to watch his moves!
They got married the next morning in the SLC temple. Here are some cute pics while we were waiting for the new couple to come out!
Showing off more of his moves!
I guess it must have wore him right out!
He loved smelling the flowers
Taylor loved playing with Crew!
Zack and Chelsey and their familes
The luncheon...
Let's just say that it was a very long day for Crew, especially without a nap. Despite a few tantrums on the floor- all in all he was a pretty good boy for such a long day!
Giving hugs to Aunt Shelly!
May 9th: The annual Mother's Day dinner at Maddox! Each year on the Saturday before Mother's Day we go to Maddox with Broc's family.
May 10th: Mother's Day!
I have to say that I definitely felt special! Look at this amazing breakfast Broc made for me!
Nothing like breakfast in bed... plus a little Crew Boo stealing all the berries! Life can't get any better than this!
I feel so blessed to be a mother! I can't imagine my life without this sweet boy! He has brought so much joy into our home! I wonder what I did to deserve my two boys Broc and Crew. I sometimes wonder if I am giving back to Crew the joy and love he gives me each day. Am I teaching him enough? Am I reading to him enough?
There are so many things that I wonder if I am enough, with this overwhelming calling of being a mother? I am so grateful to Broc for telling me that I am enough! Even if I am not all the time!
I have felt a love that I have never experienced and I am thankful to my Heavenly Father for letting us raise this special little boy.
It wouldn't be right to celebrate Mother's Day without a little tribute to the other moms in my life!
My mom is the most unselfish person I know. She is ALWAYS doing for somebody else, and doesn't think twice before offering to help! There is nothing this lady can't do. I am so grateful for her amazing Christlike example. She is always smiling no matter the circumstances and will give anything to make sure everyone around her is happy~ even if it means sacrificing some of her own needs. She has the funnest personality and will bust a dance move just to get you to laugh! I feel like she is my best friend, someone that I can trust and count on no matter what. I feel so blessed to have you in my life! I love you Mom!
Lesli: a.k.a. Mom Durrant! I feel so grateful to her for raising such an amazing son. I remember back before we were married, Broc and I had a date planned; he ended up not being able to go because he wanted to help his mom with some spring cleaning. What high school boy does that? Only one raised by an amazing mom, I guess! Lesli is always planning fun trips, dinners, outings... anything that will give an excuse for the family to get together! She is the funnest person to go to a movie with, her laugh is so contagious! She is always the one initiating scripture study or prayers and her testimony is so sweet! I am so grateful to have such an amazing example in my life! Thank you for always helping out with Crew and for making me feel so welcome in your family! Love you!
