Digital Two for Tuesday 200

Today is my 200th post for Digital Two for Tuesday.  My hobby of collecting images has turned into an obsession in the last few years.  When I started posting in 2009 who knew that the blog would grow to almost 1100 members and over 736,000 page views.  Thank you everyone for your support and comment.    To celebrate, starting tomorrow we will have 6 guest designers showcasing their favorite images from the blog.  I hope you will join us each day and share some of your favorite projects using Digital Two for Tuesday images in the comments section.

Today's images are from a 1910 McCall's magazine.  To celebrate post 200 I have created a card.  I particularly loved the wedding dress and used it for a quick engagement card for our best friend's daughter. I printed the image on Neenah Solar White card stock.  For the sentiment I used on of my Clearly Vintage stamp sets from a few years ago.  I colored the image with Copic markers and outlined the image with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Silver Chrome.  After applying the Silver Chrome to the edge of the image I heated it with my embossing heat gun to make it bubble.  I embossed the light blue vellum with a Swiss Dot embossing folder by Cuttlebug.  The card was embossed with a folder by Cuttlebug called Plum Blossoms.  The ribbon is by Martha Stewart.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays!

For those of you celebrating Christmas, here are a couple of images for last minute cards.  The first image are brownies or elves and of course Santa below.  Both are from a St Nicholas magazine from the early 1900's.

After our 60 degree weather this past week, it got cold yesterday and we did get a light dusting of snow last night.   Just enough for that wintery feeling but not enough to hinder getting together with family.  Whether you are celebrating or not I hope you take the time off to appreciate friends and family.

Exciting news.  Next week will be my 200th Digital Two for Tuesday post.  Since 2009, I have been posting digital images from vintage books almost every Tuesday.  It is hard to believe it has been so long.  I hope you have enjoyed the journey of rediscovering these old images as much as I.  To celebrate, starting December 31st I will have guest designers all week to show us all the creative things you can do with these vintage images.  I hope you join in on all the fun and create something amazing too.

 Both of these images are from John Martin's Big Book No9.  Both of these would be great for Valentine's Day.  I love the first one.  Great for that tough guy in your life.
