Crafty Sentiments - Sparkle

This week's challenge over at Crafty Sentiments is Sparkle.  I interpreted this as using a decent amount of stickles!

The image (cute isn't she!) is coloured with copics and the cut out using my oval nestie and the out of the box technique.  I cut the edge of the card using my nesties labels 8 and then popped the paper behind it. After that I liberally squeezed stickles here there and everywhere!

Don't forget to check out my teammates creations, so sparkly!!

Here are the products I used:

Christmas Card Challenges

Over at Christmas Card Challenges their theme this week is humour.  I thought hard about this one.  I remembered seeing some cool 'peas on earth' digis around, my fav is over at Whimsie Doodles.  However, I decided to really challenge myself this week (don't quite know why!) so I created my own digi (which you're welcome to have).  Once I'd created the digi this was a super quick card - print --> die cut --> punch circles --> stick on circles and sentiment --> add white doodling --> done!

Anyway, here it is ...

and if you would like it here are the digis, colour and black and white ...

Please remember not to share this on your own blog but feel free to direct people over here to me.  Thanks :)

Baby Jesus

I recently won a couple of stamps from All that scraps.  Thank You :)
I got a lovely little package with Baby Jesus and Angel and
Swiss Pixie The Group (I'm looking forward to colouring that one!)

I coloured this with my copics and a gold glitter pen, as simple as that! Think I might do a few more like this (especially as I need to get on and do quite a few more Christmas cards!)

Crafty Sentiments Christmas Release Day

Today's the day, you can finally buy the new Christmas releases from Crafty Sentiments.

These new images of  Primrose and Billy they are so fun and different and perfect for all those christmas cards, this release is part 1 of 2 sets, so keep an eye out for the next christmas release.

Which is your favourite?  Well I couldn't decide so I used them all!!

I selected different parts of each of the images and popped them in boxes! Coloured with copics I then popped them on to the card bas which I had covered with a Christmas dp and used my corner chomper on. I added the sentiment by stamping it and cutting it out with the long edge of the labels 11 nestie (it felt like an inspired idea!)

Went for a bit of decoupage on this one, so Billy and his teddy were cut out (also meant I could colour the chair red without worrying about the copics bleeding into Billy) I cut out the squares using my nesties and I die cut the scallop border (MFT die-namics) before stamping a Paula Pascual Christmas stamp.

Anyway, onto the third image of the release, Dressing the Tree; such a cute image!

This looks like a really easy card to make and I guess it was, it just took a long time to put together!  I'm guessing watching telly while i colour doesn't make for speedy colouring! I coloured with copics and glitter pens, cut out with a circle nestie and then I stamped a Paula Pascual Christmas image by shaping it on my acrylic block so it curved with the circle. I then added some Christmas paper (won from the very kind Michelle over at The Card Grotto) which I rounded the corners of and did the same to the card base using my Corner Chomper and Ta Da!

Anyway, onto the third image of the release, Gone Sledging. I love this one, doesn't Billy look handsome and I adore colouring his hair.

Billy was cut out with my labels 11 nestie using the out of the box technique, and I used an Elzybells stamp.  In order to get the sentiment in the right place I used my homemade stamp positioner (lego and acetate - an idea I got from Less is More) I drew the border after adding the dp.  If you look very closely I've stamped some very light blue snowflakes.

Anyway, onto the second image of the release, Christmas Song; Billy and Primrose singing their hearts out!

I created this square card by creating a snowflake background by stamping Stampendous snowflake stamps in Summer Sky Memento ink. The image is coloured using Derwent Coloursoft pencils and Sanasador which I then stamped a Paula Pascual Christmas sentiment on top before doodling a border. I layered the image with a Lacy squares nestie.

Dove cards

Here's another round of Christmas cards, I created these by cutting a square of patterned paper, black circles, all with my nesties.  I then used a dove punch and after sticking them all together I hand wrote the sentiments around the edge.

These were made with the Splitcoaststampers Christmas challenge in mind.

Crafty Sentiments - Christmas

This week is my choice of challenge and I've chosen quite a predictable Christmas theme.  Despite trying to be organised and do Christmas cards early I still don't have enough done so ...

I've used the gorgeous Winter Amy from Crafty Sentiments.  I teamed her with a lot of pink snowflakes and used the latest release from Crafty Sentiments - Christmas Circles.

Don't forget to pop on over to the Crafty Sentiments challenge blog and see what the rest of my amazingly creative team mates have created this week.

Christmas tree

And my final reveal, my Christmas Tree set.
You can buy it here from my digistamp shop DigiSparkle.

This card is quite CAS.  I've coloured the tree and then added gemstones that I've coloured with my copics.  I was just going to put a green outline but I was knocked (by an enthusiastic child) and so I created a swirly pattern round the edge with a glitter gel pen.  I finished it off with an Elzybells sentiment.
