Hello Flora - Stampin' Up! Extraordinary Flora

When I saw the newest Paper Players challenge I knew immediately which set I wanted to use and it didn't disappoint!  These challenge colors and the Extraordinary Flora bundle are a perfect match! Pretty Peacock, Fresh Freesia and Lemon Lolly are a great combo!

I started with a Pretty Peacock base and then used the Perennial Postage dies to cut a layer of Basic White and topped it with a piece of Floral Impressions DSP in this subtle Fresh Freesia pattern.

I wrapped a bit of Lemon Lolly sheer ribbon around the panels for a bit of shine.  The Extraordinary Flora is stamped in Basic Gray and then I colored in a bunch of the flowers and leaves using my Blends markers in the challenge colors.  After they were colored I die cut all the images and then layered them to the side of the rectangle panel with some popped on dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Simply Said set and is stamped in Basic Gray and then fussy cut and popped.  I added a retired faceted gem in Pretty Peacock as the finishing touch.

Vintage Blooms - Stampin' Up!® Gallery Blooms

I originally started this card to play along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge that I used a few days ago but by the time I finished the design it was a bit too layered and fussy to be considered 'fresh' so while it doesn't fit the challenge I still love how it turned out.  Basic Beige works great for a vintage feel when Basic White is too 'white'!

I just love this Cloud Cover and Early Espresso color combo along with the different textures!  I started with an Early Espresso base then added a layer of Early Espresso embossed with the Damask Designs embossing folder.  I was not paying attention and embossed the panel sideways but I decided to use it as is instead of re-doing it.  I should have just gone with a landscape layout instead but oh well! I added 2 circles of the Beautiful Gallery DSP in the corners and trimmed off the over hang.  A bit of Faux Seam Binding Ribbon goes across the middle of the panel.

The flower is stamped in Early Espresso onto the Basic Beige and then is die cut with a Spotlight on Nature circle die.  I used Cloud Cover Blends to added some color to the blooms and then popped it up on dimensionals over some leaves cut with the Beautiful Motifs dies.

The sentiment is stamped on a strip of Cloud Cover and embellished with a retired gem.  Finally a fork bow is added to the side of the flowers to finish this design.

SpongeBob Birthday - Stampin' Up!® Punches & Dies

My card today has no stamping but uses all Stampin' Up! products.  When I have a need for a card and I have no stamps that work for the theme, punch art always comes to the rescue!  My youngest asked for a SpongeBob cake for his birthday.  People, this boy just turned 17.  Whatever. SpongeBob cake was ordered and then I figured I might as well make it a theme for his card too!  I browsed Pinterest for a hot minute for some inspiration then pulled out my Daffodil Delight cardstock and a bunch of punches and got to work!

I think it turned out pretty good and even my son was impressed so I guess that's a win for mom!  lol.  I started with a Daffodil Delight card base then added a layer of Daffodil Delight embossed with the retired Tasteful Textile embossing folder for that sponge-y texture.  Then I added some small punched circles in Crushed Curry.

The eyes came together with a bunch of punched and die cut circles.  I had to play around a bit with sizes to see what worked.  The eyelashes are just very thinly cut pieces of Basic Black.  I don't have a white gel pen at the moment (they always crap out on me after using them just a few times!) or I would have added some highlights to his eyes to make them look a bit more finished.

Next are the cheeks and the mouth; more circles which are sponged around the edges for depth.  The nose is made the same way. The mouth is just a partial circle that I used another circle die to cut a sliver from.  The teeth are just small pieces of Basic White.

The shirt is a strip of Basic White and the collar is made from a square piece that was cut in half diagonally.  I ran my Basic Black Stampin' Write marker around the points of the collar pieces to make them more defined.  The tie is a strip of Real Red and the tie knot is just hand trimmed.

I probably won't ever need a SpongeBob card again but if I did I would try to work his brown pants in too to help balance out All. That. Yellow.

Buttered Popcorn Appreciation - Stampin Up!® Poppin' By

I used the Poppin' By bundle to make some customer thank you cards the other day.  This is such a fun set that I made a few extra to keep in my stash!

I started with a Real Red card base then a wide layer of Beautiful Bokeh DSP.  This DSP was just the right amount of pattern to make it interesting without being too busy.  I cut some of the film strips and added them behind some punched Basic White circles.

The popcorn pieces are stamped in Lemon Lolly and then die cut and popped on dimensionals.  The popcorn guy was stamped twice, once in Real Red then again in Lemon Lolly.  I trimmed down the Lemon Lolly bit and added it to the die cut box.  Some Basic Black glasses are added for fun.

Finally the sentiment is stamped next to the popcorn guy.

Sweet Treat - Stampin' Up! More Than Autumn

I'm getting away from flowers for today's card but it's still a sweet one thanks to the Festive Friday challenge prompts for National Ice Cream Day.  Alas I don't have any ice cream stamps at the moment but I made it work with doughnuts instead!  The layout is courtesy of the Just Add Ink challenge.

I'm using the prompts of pink, yellow, sprinkles, embossing folder, and food related sentiment.  I started with a full card front sized panel of Florals in Bloom DSP. Then I cut a wonky circle with the Around It All dies and embossed it with the Forever Plaid embossing folder. Before adhering I tucked a length of Strawberry Slush Faux Linen Ribbon behind it to follow the sketch.

I stamped the doughnuts in Pecan Pie and then colored them with Stampin' Blends.  Once they were colored I cut them out and arranged them around the circle with sentiment in the center.  The sentiment is a combo of die cut and stamped and fussy cut.  The stamped bit is popped on dimensionals.

Finally for a bit of bling I added a few Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems to the circle.

Rustic Impressions - Stampin' Up!® Impressions Abloom

I'm pretty sure my card today was one I made for a challenge but seeing as it was made more than 2 weeks ago I really have no idea which one anymore!  The Impressions Abloom bundle still is a 'go to' set to use for all types of projects.  I thought the flowers would look nice against a rustic wood background so I paired it up with a piece of Country Woods DSP which carried over into the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog.

There isn't really much stamping or technique on this card; just the sentiment that is fussy cut and popped on dimensionals.  The flower die cuts are layered for a nice full looking flower and I love the color combo of Flirty Flamingo and Petal Pink.  They really pop against the woodgrain.

A few retired Petal Pink sequins are the only embellishment and they add just the right amount of 'bling' to this more rustic card!

Poppin' By Pop Up Card - Stampin' Up! Poppin' By - TUTORIAL

I have such a fun card to share with you today including a video tutorial!  My stampers made this one at class last week and I think they were really surprised with how easy it was.  We made a fun pop up card using the Poppin' By bundle.  It's an adorable popcorn themed bundle so it was the perfect set to use to teach this technique!

The front of the card looks just like a regular hello card that you might send to a friend to brighten their day.  I chose to use Cloud Cover card stock for the card base and then used Lost Lagoon and a circle of Florals in Bloom DSP for accents.  The Textured Notes dies gave some nice detail to the two rectangles.

And now the fun part!  When you open the card you have a fun pop up element with more pieces of popcorn!  My video below walks you through making the inside pop up panel and gives you all the measurement as well tips and tricks to putting this card together.  It's easier than it looks and the cutting measurements can be used again and again for all different kinds of pop up cards!  Think flowers, bees, birds, trees, snowflakes....really anything you want can be popped up!

Here are the measurements written out but definitely follow along with the video to see step by step!

Insert measures 5 ¼” x 8 ¼” - fold in half like a card base

Cut from folded side down (or up depending on how you align the paper trimmer)

Line up at 1” mark and cut down stopping at 1”

Line up at 1 ½” and cut down stopping at 1”

Line up at 2 ¼” and cut down stopping at 1 ½”

Line up at 3” and cut down stopping at 1 ½”

Line up at 3 ¾” and cut down to 1”

Line up at 4 ¼” and cut down to 1”

Push the 3 tabs to the inside of the folded insert and adhere to inside of card base

Framed Gallery - Stampin' Up!® Gallery Blooms

After a bit of a stamping break for some traveling and visiting family I'm back in the stamp room and ready to share some projects that were made before I went out of town.  We did a bit of ink blending and embossing to create this card at my last class.  The Gallery Blooms and Beautiful Motifs stamp sets work well for creating a layered backgrounds like this.

This card starts with a piece of Basic White and Timid Tiger and Strawberry Slush ink blended all over the white cardstock.  Then the damask pattern stamp is stamped all over the blended ink panel stamping off once or twice using Strawberry Slush ink.  Finally, using a water painter water is flicked over the panel adding to the textured look and layering.  All of this is adhered to a Strawberry Slush card base that you can see here.

Next the large flower stamp is inked up in Versamark and then embossed in white.  A frame is cut with the Gallery Blooms dies and then embossed with the Damask Designs embossing folder.  It's popped up on dimensionals around the embossed flower.

To finish this card the sentiment is stamped in Strawberry Slush and a bit of Strawberry Slush Faux Linen ribbon is added behind it.  It's popped up over the frame and a Timid Tiger die cut leaf.  Rhinestones are sprinkled around the card front for the final touch.

One Layered Beauty - Stampin' Up!® Layers of Beauty

My card today combines two fun challenges; the Paper Players challenge of making a one layer card and the Sunday Stamps color combo.  You won't see many one layer cards here because I always want to use all the products on all the cards to show all the stuff lol!  But I'm always up for a challenge so I pulled out my Layers of Beauty stamp set and coordinating masks to see what I could come up with as that seemed like a great set to use for this challenge, plus you can't go wrong with flowers!

I think this one turned out pretty good even if there isn't a dimensional in sight!!  The colors are fabulous so shout out to the Sunday Stamps team for putting this one out there.  I used Pumpkin Pie, Peach Pie, Old Olive, Balmy Blue and Secret Sea so I ended up using all of the colors.

I started with a Basic White thick base then stamped the large floral cluster stamp from the Layers of Beauty stamp set on opposing corners.  I used Secret Sea for the outline stamping and it works well as an alternate for a straight black ink.

Next I used the masks to blend all the other colors over the images with blending brushes.  Finally I stamped the sentiment in Secret Sea.  I decided to leave off any embellishments to keep this card truly one layer.

Beautiful Father's Day - Stampin' Up!® Beautiful Motifs

I've been using the Beautiful Gallery Suite a lot lately because it works for so many kinds of cards.  I made this card for one of my father-in-laws for Father's Day.  I was going for a peaceful nature-y/outdoors/plant kind of card since that's his vibe.  I think it turned out just right! What do you think?

I started with a piece of Beautiful Gallery DSP adhered to the card base.  The paper is so beautiful I didn't wanted to cover it all up so I made an open frame with the Textured Notes dies as I could make it thinner than the frames in the coordinating Gallery Blooms die set.  I used Basic Beige for a nice neutral cardstock.

Next I brushed some Mossy Meadow ink onto a piece of Basic White and cut out the fern.  Then the flower stalk is die cut in Crumb Cake cardstock.  I blended a little bit of Peach Pie ink onto the flower.  I adhered these along the side of the frame.

A Spotlight on Nature die circle in Mossy Meadow is stamped with the damask stamp and is then popped on dimensionals over a bit of Basic Beige Classic ribbon.

The retired sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow and trimmed to fit on the circle. A few adhesive backed texture dots are the perfect embellishment to finish this design.  Swap out the sentiment for anything you need as this works as an all occasion card too!

Poppin' Father's Day - Stampin' Up!® Poppin' By

After preparing for my my last 2 events I realized that I had A LOT of new floral stamp sets and not a whole lot else.  Stampin' Up! carries quite a variety when it comes to styles and themes but not much of that variety made it's way into my shopping cart recently so I had to do what any good Stampin' Up! demonstrator does for the good of her customers (wink wink) and buy some more stamping supplies!!  I got the new Poppin' By bundle for something very much non-floral!  Father's Day was the perfect time to get it inky especially with the dad joke puns!

I used a bit of retired Pattern Party DSP for the fun background and then added a band of Real Red embossed with the Glass & Garden embossing folder.

Next I stamped the popcorn box twice, once in Real Red and a second time in Daffodil Delight and fussy cut the top and bottom and put them together on a Stitched Shape circle adhering them with dimensionals.  Some fun die cut glasses are added.

I die cut a few pieces of popcorn in Basic White then lightly brushed the edges with Daffodil Delight ink to make them buttery.  They are adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped in Memento Black and die cut with the smallest Party Banners dies.  A black baker's twine bow is the final touch for the front of this card.  On the inside I stamped a Father's Day greeting.

Beachy Vibes Gift Card Holder - Stampin' Up!® Notes & Totes

It's been a hot minute since I've been in my stamp room!  I held my May class the last week of May then immediately jumped into preparing for vacation mode and spent this past week at the beach with family enjoying the sun and ocean.  Now I'm trying to get organized so I can get back to stamping.  Luckily I do still have a project to share that we made at my last class.  I had beach on the brain so the new Notes & Totes bundle was the perfect thing to use for one of the projects.

This was also the first time some of my stampers were seeing the new In Colors in person so I incorporated all 5 into the design.  It starts with a Secret Sea card base, then a layer of Cloud Cover stamped with the sentiment in Secret Sea.

Next using a lot of the dies from the Notes & Totes die set we just made a 4 square layout with each square highlighting one of the dies as well as the In Colors.  The sunglasses have the lenses colored with Wink of Stella for some added pizzazz. And the sun stamp is added to the sunscreen tube In Darling Duckling ink. A few Iridescent Faceted Gems are added for embellishments.

The outside of this card is fun and playful but I carried over that feeling to the inside of the card too!!

We used the tote die to create a little gift card pocket on the inside!  Isn't that so cute? Carrying on the theme of new In Colors my stampers got to choose which color/pattern of In Color 6x6 DSP they wanted to use for their tote.  They all used Secret Sea for the accent pieces and they all were adorable no matter which color was chosen.  The sentiment is from the Online Exclusive set The Right Words and was just the right size for the open corner.

Hopefully I'll get back to creating this week if I can remember how lol!

Appreciation Window - Stampin' Up! Impressions Abloom

My stampers got to use the Impressions Abloom bundle firsthand at class the other day.  I designed this card to show off the large squoval die that comes in the set along with some of the flower dies.  The stamping was minimal but the die cut flowers are so cute they can definitely stand on their own!

If you're a regular follower of my blog you might think these colors look familiar and you're correct!  I used them on this card earlier this week.  I just love them together!

This one starts with a Pool Party base with the squoval cut out.  Using the opening to see where the sentiment goes the words are stamped on the insert in Shy Shamrock ink.  A small flower is also stamped on the insert in Petunia Pop and Darling Duckling.

The flowers and leaves are die cut then arranged around the edge of the opening.  You have to be sure that your adhesive doesn't extend to a piece that hangs over the opening...you definitely want the recipient to be able to open the card.  The Petunia Pop flower has some of the same color ink blended into the center to highlight the fun details.  A few dimensionals elevate 2 of the flowers for a bit of height.

A few Strawberry Slush and Pretty in Pink Gems (in the clear/gold combo) are added to the side opposite the flowers for a final touch.

Birds In Color - Stampin' Up!® Along These Lines

I'm back with another project using some of the new In Colors.  Today I've put together Timid Tiger, Darling Duckling and Strawberry Slush to make some sweet colored birds with the Along These Lines stamp set.

I made a large stack of this design and just worked assembly line style to put them together once all the pieces were ready.  I used all 3 colors for the bases just so I wouldn't completely deplete all of one color but the photo uses Strawberry Slush.  I used the new Glass & Garden embossing folder for the center panel.  I thought the flower design worked well with the birds.

The birds are stamped in Memento black and then colored in using Stampin' Blends in the 3 colors changing up each one to look different.  I used a circle punch to quickly punch them out and then popped them with dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the new Beautiful Motifs stamp set and is just a narrow strip with the end flagged.  Since I used all 3 colors for the card bases I alternated the colors of Flat Pearls and this one ended up getting Darling Duckling for a nice pop.

New at SU! - Encircled In Colors

I'm back with the the New at SU! blog hop crew today to show off the beautiful new 2025-2027 In Colors from Stampin' Up! This blog hop features Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world sharing creative projects to inspire you in your own crafting.  I'm using the new stamp set Encircled With Love for my projects.

The Encircled With Love stamp set is one of those all around sets that covers just about any occasion and looks great with any color!

I used the 2025-2027 In Colors products for each of the card designs; cardstock, DSP, flat pearls and Faux Linen ribbon.

For the Secret Sea (gift) and Strawberry Slush (small heart) designs I added a little extra with stamping and cutting out an element to pop up with dimensionals.

And while you can't see it in the photos I highlighted a bit of each image with Clear Wink of Stella for a bit of in person sparkle.

The mix and match possibilities with this set and the new In Colors is really great!  You could make a whole month of birthday cards just changing the DSP and layouts.

Gallery in the Clouds - Stampin' Up! Gallery Blooms

As soon as I saw the Beautiful Gallery suite collection at Stampin' Up!'s OnStage demonstrator event this past March I knew it would be making it's way into my stamp room.  I loved the vintage, moody feel of the DSP and the stamps and dies are perfect for making all kinds of cards.  I showed it off last week at my new catalog open house event with this soft thinking of you card highlighting the new In Color Cloud Cover.

This card starts with a Cloud Cover base and then a second piece of Cloud Cover embossed with the Damask Design embossing folder.  A piece of Beautiful Gallery DSP is added along the left side in a soft print in Cloud Cover.

I stamped the flower image from Gallery Blooms in Basic Beige onto Basic Beige card stock then die cut.  It's popped on dimensionals.  The sentiment is from the other stamp set in this suite collection, Beautiful Motifs and is also stamped in Basic Beige on Very Vanilla.  I used a label die from the Unbounded Love die set to cut it out and then backed it with a bit of Cloud Cover Faux Linen ribbon.

The card is finished up with some of the gorgeous Pressed Flower Motifs embellishments.

In Color Motifs - Stampin' Up!® Beautiful Motifs

Last Saturday I held my new Annual Catalog Open House and got to show my stampers tons of samples and gave them a good look at the new In Colors as well as a ton of new products.  It's always a fun event to design make and takes for because I have so much new product to choose from and I always highlight the new In Colors as well.  For one of the 3 make and takes I combined all 5 new In Colors along with a simple sentiment and large die cut from the Beautiful Motifs bundle.

I CASED this card by Kim Singdahlsen from 2023 as I loved the strips of colored cardstock that give a nice focal area to show off a die cut.  What a perfect way to show off all 5 new In Colors.  And how cute do they look in a bit of a rainbow order?

To show off as much new stuff as I could I added a ribbon knot in the new Faux Linen ribbon in the color Secret Sea.  And a mix and match look with a variety of the colors of the 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls are scattered around the die cut.

Mother's Day Impressions - Stampin' Up!® Impressions Abloom

I'm pretty sure my mom has gotten her Mother's Day card so I'm sharing it today.  If not then we can blame the USPS and hopefully it will show up eventually!  I used 2 of the new In Colors for it and I thought they paired beautifully with Fresh Freesia!  What do you think?

I started with a Secret Sea card base then embossed another piece of it with the Eyelet embossing folder.  I created a tag using the To the Point label punch and Cloud Cover cardstock to form the focal point for the card.  Using the Elements of Text stamp set and my Cloud Cover Stampin' Write Marker I added some text to the tag for some depth and a bit of vintage feel.  I've had some square vellum doilies hanging about for years and thought it might be a cool detail to add to the edge of the tag.  Some seam binding ribbon in Fresh Freesia and bakers twine were added before popping the whole tag up on dimensionals.

I'm continuing to enjoy using the Impressions Abloom stamp set and I think these flowers turned out fabulous using Fresh Freesia and Lemon Lolly ink.

The sentiment is from the long retired set Something to Celebrate and is stamped in Secret Sea ink and then flagged.

The final detail are a few Brushed Brass Butterflies for a bit of shine.

Day at the Beach - Stampin' Up!® Notes & Totes

I'm back with another project using the Notes & Totes bundle.  I made this one for Matt's stepmother for Mother's Day as she loves the beach and being out on the boat.  I pulled much of my inspiration for the card from one of the samples on page 81 of the annual catalog.  I loved the idea of using DSP for the background so I pulled out a piece of Thoughtful Journey DSP and got to work.

Once I chose my DSP I used those colors for the tote bag accessories.  The tote itself is made with Very Vanilla and Pecan Pie.  I stamped and fussy cut the flower so I could add it to the pocket and coordinated the scarf to match.

The picket fence dies are a great extra in this set because it makes creating a scene really easy and can definitely be used paired with other sets.  I think I see a card with a pretty fence covered with lots of flowers in my future!

Sunglasses Note - Stampin' Up!® Notes & Totes

I've been a bit MIA lately and while I have been stamping I just haven't been finding the time to blog!  I had my New Catalog Open House over the weekend so I was very busy getting ready for that but hopefully things will quiet down and I can try to get projects posted more often because I have a lot of new products that I want to share with you all!  My card today was my customer thank you card from April and uses the new Notes & Totes bundle which is adorable!

I got inspiration from page 82 of the new Annual Catalog for my layout.  I decided that I wanted to make a card that used just the sunglasses from the Notes & Totes die set.  Sometimes it can be hard to use a smaller image or die cut and keep it highlighted but not have the card feel empty. I used texture and layering to achieve it here.

The color combo is from a now closed challenge; Time Out Challenges that just seemed so happy and cheerful.  I started with a Petunia Pop base and stamped some of the speckles across the card front.  Next I added a strip of Floral Delight DSP (always trying to use up small scraps!).  I die cut a rectangle with the Textured Notes dies and then embossed it with the Soft Waves embossing folder and then trimmed a bit of the edge off and adhered it.

Using the Spotlight on Nature dies I cut a circle from Beautiful Bokeh DSP which gives a nice place to highlight the sunglasses.  Daffodil Delight and black glimmer paper are used to cut out the sunglasses and they are popped on dimensionals on the circle.

The sentiment is stamped in Petunia Pop ink on Basic White and is also popped on dimensionals.  A few adhesive backed Dots for Days finish off the details on this one.

Thanks for looking!  Did you stamp today?
