A new tradition.

Kalaree and I have started a new tradition. Every night after the girls go to bed, her and I curl up in my bed and read while listening to music. She has her books and I have mine. It is nice. This tradition has really strengthened hers and my relationship. I have learned so much from her the last few nights. She has decided that she wants to save her money and after high school graduation go travel Europe for a couple of months. She actually wants to go for a year but well I vetoed that but told her she could go for a month or so before she started at college. She said that she wanted to that since she was 5, who knew? We talk about boys, friends, teen drama, etc. It is so nice to see her growing up into a wonderful young lady. She really cracks me up and she is such a happy girl. Not many can say that they are as blessed to have a great 13, almost 14 year old.

Interesting. I did not think that my wonderful granddaughter Kalaree was interested in Europe. Perhaps she would email Jean and start asking about coming over in 2010. I in the meantime should not sterotype all teenagers :(. Maybe something like Spring Vacation 2010? What do you think Kalaree? Ya know, Paris, Burgess, Barcelona, of course Venice. bye for now.
