SS Kezri
Right before the Thanksgiving break Kezri had a classroom assignment to "create" a ship and label the parts. Well after her disastrous clay flower ***oh yea I didn't post about that. Well long story short, she made a clay flower and attempted to take it to school four different times and each time it broke along the way so she finally gave up and just drew one.*** we decided to use some other form of creativity. So originally we thought about cake. Now I am sure you all would love to see some lopsided cake that I am sure would win some sort of award on the famous blog of cake wrecks and mine would definitely be a good contender if we had gone that route. I was smart enough to talk myself out of that. So then brilliant me though, wood!!!!! How hard could it really be, they turn blocks of wood all the time into pinewood derby cars. Why couldn't a girl of the same age turn a block of wood into a ship. Don't start to worry yet, no fingers were lost in this project. After much contemplation, I was sure that if I could not turn flour and water and powder sugar into a ship how in the world was I going to get wood into one? So then brilliance struck. Foam. Easy to cut and mold and it would only take a little glue and some toothpicks. So off Kezri and I went to get her project done. For such a simple type of project she sure didn't do to bad. She does have quite the creative gene in her.
