Let the rains begin.

So I get up this morning to none other than rain. The weather man also said that there will be rain for the next 7 days. Everyone at my office has said that it is finally feeling normal with the rain. I don't even own an umbrella, what am I to do? So on the shopping list for today is an umbrella for me and for the girls. I am in a great mood this morning. I think because it is Friday and payday and I get off at noon. The girls got to dress up for school. Kalaree is going as Raggedy Andy. No not Ann but Andy. She actually looks rather cute. Kezri changed last night at the last minute from a gorilla to a mime. Oh well saved me from sewing last night. She saw a mime costume on another blog and wanted to do that instead so we painted her face this morning and out the door she went. See, I am not creative just steal well. Kami doesn't have school, thank goodness after last nights parent teacher conference. Hopefullyl, by time next week rolls around she will have forgotten all about it. My school does not dress up, which is kind of disappointing to me. Hopefully by next year we can talk them into it. Today we will be going trick or treating and then tonight I am hoping to settle down and read. Thinking a good vampire book, anyone know of any good ones? LOL!!!! I forgot how much I love Halloween.

Finally some movement.

So almost a complete month later we are finally getting our van fixed. I have been playing phone tag with this place in Denver and I could not for the life of me get someone on the phone to arrange the repairs. Well today I finally called and demanded a supervisor and woohoo finally our van will be repaired. David is taking it in tomorrow to let them look at it and then he said they should be able to start the repairs next Monday. I will have a rental to drive while they are fixing it. I am so glad to be finally getting this done and over with. The funny thing is that I am also trying to settle the Dr. bill with it and they keep commenting that it is really early to settle this. I think that is hilarious that it would take this long to get everything in place to get it done and over with. Oh well.

I have great kids!!!

David ended up working last night. He was just going in to sign papers and they ended up keeping him till almost 5:30. Which was fine. I got home to find Kalaree and Kezri at the kitchen counter and Kalaree was helping Kezri wiht her homework. I started dinner, while they continued to work. Then we ate and the girls headed out to play. Lately though I have really enjoyed their little snipits. So I figured I would share those here. On our way home from the car accident. Of course once everything had calmed down. Kezri says, "I was shaking so hard my eyes were watering." UUMM your eyes were watering because you were crying. Got to love kids. Last night I thanked Kalaree for helping Kezri with her homework. Kezri replies, "I had to force her to do it." Oh the power of younger siblings. Kami is really afraid of Halloween. Dresses.

I finished the dress and even had them done before midnight. Kami's is really cute and Kezri's fits her. It is amazing how two different outfits can come from one pattern. This was the most simple pattern so I plan to make more. In fact I already have the fabric for Kami's next one. I am even thinking of doing the doll one to match for her with this next one. Both girls picked their fabric main fabric. Kami had to have both yellow and red, which surprising goes well together. Kezri picked sage green and pale pink. I got plenty of pictures of Kami's but when I went to take Kalaree's and Kezri's pictures today the battery on the camera was dead so I will have to get out and get some more later. Kalaree asked for a store bought outfit. Which is fine since now a days you spend the same amount on the fabric as you would if you bought it premade.
