Sunday Snippets
:: Marcus ::
1. Marcus loves to write out our food lists. He is enjoying learning
to write his letters. It may take him a bit longer but he is getting there.
2. His favorite thing right now is to ride his bike. He loves to go on
bike rides with lucy (I push her on our push bike) to the church. When we get
there the kids just run around the parking lot and find pine cones and rocks.
3. He can have a bit of a temper sometimes. We are still working on him
managing his emotions. Lucy is very emotional right now so he doesn't quite understand all of that.
4. I cannot get him to eat any kind of breakfast food. I have made him everything! He even
won't eat pop tarts, toaster streudel, or french toast sticks. He asks for mac n' cheese,
or peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I don't know what to do with him.
5. Marcus loves to play with Lucy right now. He will follow her anywhere and
do anything she wants to do. Their favorite thing is to jump on the tramp even though it
usually ends up with Lucy crying and wanting to get off the tramp and Marcus apologizing.
:: Lucy ::
1. I don't know if I mentioned this before but Lucy says the cutest thing and I
don't ever want to forget it. When she wants you to leave her alone she says as she waves her hand
at you "away me go". I love to hear her say it every time.
2. She started cutting her 2 year old molars this week. I didn't realize it until
one had already popped through. She said her neck hurt one night and so we gave
her some tylenol and the next morning she said it again and I thought maybe it was her
pillow. Then I realized she was teething. She was so needy and emotional. We were going to
get rid of the binky but we are keeping it until the teething is done.
3. Lucy loves to eat chips and salsa with me every day. It's her favorite snack right now.
4. She is the best cuddler. No matter where or what she is doing she loves to
come up to you and cuddle!
5. She can get on the tramp all by herself, she can't quite get down yet by herself.

January Happenings
January is always an interesting month because it's after the holidays and you never know if it's going to be cold and snowy or warm. It's been a really warm winter so far. We have only gotten snow on Christmas, which was really a christmas miracle!
Dave and I got invited to the Jazz game by one of his clients. We felt really lucky because we were on the second row and also got to eat before the game and had snacks during half time.
We did get to build another snowman, which melted quickly because it was so warm.
We have been playing a lot of dress-up with our new dress-up clothes!
Lucy started going to pre-school 2 days a week and LOVES it! She is the littlest one in the class but loves being a big girl! Marcus enjoys the one-on-one time with mommy.
One of our favorite activities is this Kinetic Sand. It is addicting to play with, even for mom and dad. It's a great winter activity and not too messy to clean up.
Mom bought tickets to the BYU game for our family to go to for Christmas. Uncle Jarom tagged along and we had a really fun time!
Mom got a girls day out to celebrate Grandma Vicki's birthday (finally!). Lunch at The Cheesecake Factory and shopping at City Creek afterwards.
A huge blessing was gas prices going down in the winter. $1.66.
Because it has been so warm we were able to take lots of walks. Lucy always loves to walks her baby dolls. Marcus doesn't want to feel left out so luckily we have two strollers and lots of baby dolls.
We have loved out Thanksgiving Point pass and going to the dinosaur museum quite often.
Dave won "Rookie of the Year" award at his company. This award means we get to go on the company trip to California in April to the Terrenea Resort. We are so proud of daddy and his hard work at Newmark!
Popsicles are loved all times of the year at our house!
A few trips to the library keeps us from going crazy and being inside the house!

Sunday Snippets
:: Marcus ::
1. Marcus loves every holiday and asks every day the order of holidays
and what comes next. He loves decorating for every holiday. So we made some St. Patricks Day
decorations for the house.
2. His favorite show to watch right now is still Curious George but he
switches from Caillou and Word World.
3. We have been working hard on his S's and he is slowly
catching on. His speech therapist says he is doing really well in his speech
singing class and improving in saying his S's.
4. Dave and I have started asking him before he goes to bed the following
3 questions: 1. what is one thing that made you laugh today. 2. what is one thing
that made you sad today. 3. what is one thing that you learned today. He really
likes it and we get to know more about his personality each night.
5. He is loving riding his bike right now. He is getting the turns and we are
hoping to take his training wheels off soon.
:: Lucy ::
1. Lately when Lucy wants you to leave her alone she will
say "no, away me go" and wave her hand out so you will leave. It's adorable.
2. She loves to pretend with her baby. Now lately her baby
has been the minnie mouse bubble bottle, her hair bow, and then her doll.
3. Lucy would have me carry her 24 - 7 if I let her. She is constantly saying
"up, please" and then she just sits in my arms while I move about the house. I'm trying to enjoy it
because I know she won't be little anymore but it's really tiring.
4. Last night in the car she said "Mommy, my hair stinky", then she said "dirty and PU". It
was so cute. I told her she needs to take a bath. Then a few minutes later she said "mommy, more stinky" pointing to her hair.
5. We are trying to wean her off the binky during the day. She constantly asks for it
and even when she gets hurt and wants it for comfort we are staying strong. She is
more attached than marcus ever was.

Sunday Snippets
:: Marcus ::
1. Marcus has hit a major growth spurt, none of his pants will stay up on his small little
bum. Therefore we see his plummers crack constantly. I don't know what to do. The length is still good
on his pants because I always buy them big and when I cinch them up they end up leaving red marks on his
waist. I'm at a loss.
2. Marcus loves cosmo. We were at the BYU game a few weeks ago
and he could find him in 2 second anywhere in the Marriott Center.
3. Right now we are working on his pronouns and saying his "S"'s in words. His
speech is improving every day and we are so glad he is conversational now!
4. He is constantly asking "What are we doing now Mom?". When I tell him, he asks "Then what are we doing?". I'm glad he is asking "What" questions but I don't always have an answer
for how we are going to be enterntained.
5. He is obssessed with chocolate milk and watching either Curious George,
Word World, or Daniel Tigers Neighborhood.
:: Lucy ::
1. Lucy's favorite thing to do is take her dolls for a walk. We are loving
the warm weather and so we go for a lot of walks with her dolls.
2. I bribed her the other day at the grocery store with donuts and
she came home and made the biggest mess but loved her donuts!
3. Her favorite thing that she says nows is "OK mom". She says it
constantly when I say something to her and I just giggle.
4. She continues to love pre-school. She cried yesterday when I dropped her off
because I think she either has a cold or is getting her 2 year old molars in.
5. We are still potty training but only for #2. She has picked it up faster than I thought she would.
