Winter Wonderland - H2H Challenges

Hello and welcome to another filled challenge from the H2H Design Team. This challenge is all about Winter and the wonders of winter! So we want to see what a Winter Wonderland looks like to you!

I used to live in sunny southern US and enjoyed warmer winters but now, I am in the frozen north of Canada and my Winters are cold and snowy and while a white Christmas is great, six months of snow, icy and freezing temperatures are not my thing (but do make create scrapping weather for me!)

Cheers - Pumpkin Spice - AHSC 443

Hello! Today I am back with another project from my Pumpkin Spice workshop and that I created for the AHSC Design Team. I had so much fun playing with these papers, I am a total sucker for all things fall....except Pumpkin and Pumpkin flavours! But I do love the feel, the colours, the sense of change all of those things!

When I saw this stamp set I could not wait to get it and play with it. For this one I used my water colour pencils to colour it in, I need to up my skills with the water colour pencils so I forced myself to use them and practice some shading, I think it came out ok.  For an added touch on the whipped cream I added clear shimmer brush, it is hard to see in the picture but it is there!

Merry & Bright - Holly & Ivy - H2H

Hello! Happy fall to you! The temperatures are changing and we are seeing the leaves starting to change and I am all for it. I do love summer but I also fall (and spring, not a winter fan!)  So it is time for me to start thinking of Christmas...never time to start thinking of that, but when you make your own Christmas cards it is time to think Christmas cards!

So for our challenge at H2H this week, the theme is Sweet Treats and Christmas is all about sweet treats. I created this card for the challenge and my Holly & Ivy card workshop. This card reminds me of sweet treats you can drink around the holidays, hot cocoa and coffee shop inspired drinks.

For the coffee mug, I masked off the pumpkin when I stamped it and then added a heart to match the larger coffee cup. I also added clear shimmer trim on the white areas that are whipped cream.

Isabella Thank You - AHSC 438

Hello! Welcome to another fun sketch from AHSC!

I love playing with sketches, it really helps me jump start a project, in fact I use sketches for almost all of my layouts and cards for all my workshops. I do alter them but the are a great starting point for so many of my projects and this weeks is no different. I pretty much follow the sketch exactly this week, even down to the chevron pattern in the sketch but that was only because the paper I was working with, had a chevron print so it was easy peasy!

Creative with Cardstock - H2H Challenges

Hello! It is time for some catch up for me with today being the first day of in person learning for our girls. I am a bit late in posting my H2H Challenges Design Team project for this week, eeeks! Better late than never I suppose! Our theme this week is Creative with Cardstock.

For my card, I used all card stock, I started with Ballerina and random stamped the flower images in tone on tone with Ballerina ink. I used a flower stamp from the Isabella Scrapbooking stamp and thin cut set. Then I used some Thin Cuts, the Scallop Circle, Stitched Circle, and the Stitched Lattice Background and finished it off with a 1/4 inch strip of Ballerina shimmer paper and some white dots from the Black and White Dots.
