Valentines Sneak Peek

I just sent a Valentines swap to my partner Robin.  Valentines Day is one of my favorite holidays to create for.  So here are a few sneak peeks for the box I sent.  It's a combination of Valentines & some Kuwaiti goodies.  I have some slightly funnier gifts in there as well.  I hope Robin enjoys all the goodies.  I had a blast putting it together.  Once she receives it, I'll post full pictures.
Special Thanks to Tara for hosting & putting all of this together!

Spoiled Rotten

Beth absolutely out did herself.  She was my swap partner & I've had to take a few hours days to digest & let it all sink in.  Make sure to take a peek at Beth's blog, she's brand new to blogging! Her flickr account is here. We both participated in Molly's Crown Swap.  See the blogs of all participants here.

As you can see from my blurry pictures I was shaking with excitement as I opened & tried to document all of the goodies.  Also I "artistically" took pictures on my comforter cause I was waayy too excited to take them in the craft room.  I am like a little kid sometimes.

Seriously, his & her crown tins with a jeweled handle. AND all the fun goodies inside!

I almost cried when I unwrapped this beauty.

And then I did when I saw these beauties inside. Items from her personal stash that she gifted to me.  I am always so lucky to meet talented & giving artists.

Yet more crown/pink themed items for me.

And look, a tiny crown in pink in it's own little storage box.  Eek!

Here's the absolutely stunning box my crown came in.  Since we move all the time, I'm so darn excited that she has her own box to be packed in.

So here she is!  What a beauty!  I think she needs a name.  I'm working on that, but I'll take suggestions.  So don't laugh.  These are the only 2 pictures that came out of the crown.  I was just a tad on the excited side.  I'll have to take more pictures tomorrow when I get some light.  In the meanwhile, you can take a look at her photos over here.  I'm really laughing that I was so excited & took pictures on my comforter.  I do have a nice place set up in the craft room...

Go visit Beth & say hi!  I was so touched by her generosity.  She very obviously put so much love & thought into my crown & gifts.  Everything in that box screams me.  We're visiting the states soon & my box made me feel like I was back home.  Thank you for bringing some of the states over to the desert.

Happy Birthday Pink Saturday ~ June 6

I'm sharing the rest of my tags for the Sweet Sentiments tag swap hosted by Mary Ann. She is hosting another tag swap & 2 itty bitty book swaps. Quite a few of my tags had a pink theme. This was so so fun :) You can take a look at the group pool here.
Make sure you visit Beverly to see who else is participating in Pink Saturday.

Happy Pink Saturday ~ May 16

Happy Pink Saturday! You could say I was in a Pink mood when I started making my tags for Mary Ann's Sweet Sentiments tag swap. You can go over to the flickr group & see all the beautiful tags. I signed up early for this one & started early too. So unlike me :) but so fun! One side was the quote or sentiment. There was no theme, so anything goes & I made all of mine different. I'm so into OOAK!
I am a big paper freak, so I have lots of pink patterned paper. I love to embelish with rub-ons, stickers, rubber stamps, my own doodles & anything with bling. I'll show all of them when I get a group shot. Some of my tags are even in color combos I don't normally work with.
Please visit Beverly to say hello & see who else is participating this week. There are well over 150 participants & she hosts all of us every week.

Pink Saturday ~ April 17

Where is this month going & where have I been? Well, the mini men & I went to NY to visit my sister & her family. We took a trip into NYC where Brandon declared "I love the city!" I got my wish & went to the 2 places I wanted to go: Kinokuniya book store (the linky is all in Japanese - here's another one with more English info) & Tinsel Trading. I bought this darling bird there, in pink of course.
I'll do a post with the rest of my pictures from Tinsel. They were so gracious in letting me snap away taking photos. The funny thing was my 5 year old & my not yet 2 year old niece wanted to buy birds of their own there. My sister & I told them they could have their very own from JoAnn's or Michaels. I even offered to bling them out. I just was not buying them a $10 bird.
I've also been preparing for the Art & Soul retreat in May. It's my first art retreat & I couldn't be more excited. I love making mini composition books & have been slowly amassing them for trades. Here are a few with pink.
Please make sure to visit Beverly. There is always a fantastic list of Pink Saturday participants.

In ♥ ♥ LOVE♥ ♥

Molly, I'm in love with my package!!
My crappy pictures do not do these beautiful items justice. (Darn light left early for clouds) I was squealing while I opened the items. I tried to slow down so I could take some pictures. The light was not cooperating, so I had some dark pics or pics with flash. Molly is so talented & utterly spoiled me. I cannot thank her enough for my goodies.
The kids are already bugging me to make goodies in the baking pan. I also got a Mercury Glass cup (cute stuff headed in there for my art table), Dresdens, Sequins, the sweetest smelling cinnamon candles, a cute Valentine plant (I hope I don't kill it), a glittery pen, a big pink flower ornament... I could go on. Then I opened the heart ornament & found this
It's a knotted pearl necklace & earrings. I have to find out if she hand knotted this. Gorgous!! Thank you my friend!! I love how blogging & swaps brings new friends. Thanks to Heidi for hosting. There's a flickr group if you want to see more pictures.

Pink ♥Valentine♥ Swaps for Pink Saturday

Happy Pink Saturday! I missed you last week. I was traveling & not able to participate. Make sure you go & visit Beverly's blog. Last week there was a record number of participants (WOW 151)

This wonderfully Pink & "so me" heart was given to me by my Secret Valentine Monica. This swap was hosted by the wonderful Mary Ann. Thanks ladies! Monica sent me some trinkets inside this gorgous box. The picture is just a few of the items. I had to put them away as my kiddos wanted to get into them for their own artwork. I also received a vintage hat, from her collection, some handmade Valentines & the sweetest smelling rose envelope. I love how blogging brings people together. Monica's husband recently joined the Army & it's wonderful to have found another military mom & friend.
I think I've finally figured out that Valentines is my favorite holiday to craft for. I've had such a fun time with the different swaps I've done. The lower pictures includes the heart box I created, a glass bottle I embellished, a mini compostion book & some goodies I hope she'll enjoy. I'm not going to link to her now since the box just went out today.
This is the last week of One World One Heart. My giveaway ends Feb 11 at 11:59PM. I'll be choosing a winner on Feb 12. Click on the OWOH link above or the globe over on my sidebar. If you want to enter my specific giveaway click here. I cannot even believe I've had 650 visitors to this post. Thank you for your kind comments. I feel like I've already found a ton of new friends. It may take me until next year's event to visit all of you :)

Pink Saturday ~ Swap Sneaky Peeky

I'm going to have to keep this post short & sweet. I've got a bit of a headache & need to put the computer down & walk away.

I joined Heidi's Very Vintage Valentine Swap. Oooh what fun I had!! I was paired with Molly of Fleur de Bee. Here are some sneak peeks of what I did for Molly. I made a collaged wall hanging, some cards, & ornaments among other things. I don't want to spoil all the goodies, so I'll wait to tell you about all the things I made & full pictures of everything.

Thank you to Beverly for hosting Pink Saturday. Go check out her blog to see a list of other participants. There have been over 100 of us showing our pink.

PS If you haven't already, go visit the One World One Heart blog. I'm giving away a bracelet below. I've made some wonderful friends & found some great inspiration the last 2 years. I've had an incredible 315 visitors enter my contest. I'm so excited to make new friends :)
