Beaded Clay Pendant by Jenn

Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing a pendant I have created using Creative Paperclay® and Dew Drops!
One of my favorite things to create with Creative Paperclay® is jewelry. For this pendant I wanted it to look natural. I hand molded the shape rather than using a silicone mold. For the jewels I rolled small balls of the clay and then used the end of a paintbrush to hollow the middles. I used Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest to the holes to appear like gemstones. The middle is another rolled small piece of clay that I used a clay tool to put lines in. I then carved some lines into the leaf to give it texture.
I used Plaid paints in metallic green and copper to finish it, then added a hemp cord.

Here is a collage featuring some other jewelry I have created using this amazing clay!

Revisiting a Redo with Creative Paperclay®

Hello there! Jenn here sharing a revisited, re-done project from the past!

This originally started as a plain glass cologne bottle as seen below....
If you are anything like me you are not always happy with every project you do or you stop in the middle...This is what happened with this poor bottle. I originally had painted it and readied it to be a rusty project and decided nahhh. So today I will show you how I turned it into this stunning iridescent bottle using Creative Paperclay® and Delight™!

First I added molded Creative Paperclay® and Delight™ flowers and faces.

I then coated the entire piece in heavy black gesso.

Finally I added iridescent waxes, sprays, and inks in an array of blues and purples to creat that oil slick look.

I created a stopper using a molded ornate piece and Delight™. I used a plastick stick to hold them together.

Supply List:
Black Gesso
An array of iridescent waxes, inks, and sprays
Molds
Glue

In the end I added some microbeads and glitter for a bit more lightness. I wanted to show both.

Creative Paperclay® is moldable and sculptable!

Delight™ air dry modeling compound is lightweight when dry so it is great for creating projects such as these. It takes very well to inks and sprays when dried and gessoed as well.

You are Lovely Altered Frame

Hello everyone! Jenn here today to share my altered frame I created using Creative Paperclay™ and Delight®!

Creative Paperclay™ Modeling Material and Delight® are great for creating beautiful molded embellishments for all mixed media projects such as this altered frame.
Here is a  photo tutorial on how I created mine:
You can use watercolor pencils as I did with a waterbrush or use paints as well.

All of my embellishments were molded using silicone molds. I always have a stash of molded pieces!
Use scraps of cardboard at different thicknesses to elevate the pieces for dimension.

Be sure to dry in between sprays of color with a heat tool so they do not mix.

A Fun Tropical Trio by Jenn

Hello everyone!! Jenn here sharing a fun trio of tropical fun projects created using both Delight™ air dry modeling compound and the original Creative Paperclay®!!
This set includes a vase made from an altered bottle, A trinket dish and an incense burner!
These were created using a variety of silicone molds and some real live leaves from my own yard!
All of the flowers and ferns were molded using Delight™ air dry modeling compund.

The larger leaves were created using real live leaves, a rolling pin, and the original Creative Paperclay®.
Here are some closer views.

To create the leaves above roll out some Creative Paperclay® on to a non stick surface. Lay your leaf flat and roll over it with a rolling pin or brayer. Gently pull the leaf away and drape the piece over something rounded to dry so it dries with a shape like a dish. Dry the longer leaf flat. Add molded flowers and paint!

Two of the long flat leaves were created using the Delight™ and wrapped around the bottle to dry. Once dry, add glue to secure them to the glass. Add molded flowers and coat all with heavy gesso. After gesso dries add paint!

Here is a photo of the set in use as a trinket dish, vase, and incense burner.

Mixed Media Magic with Delight™

Happy Holidays!! Jenn here today, sharing a wintery tag using embellies molded from Delight™ air dry modeling compound. Delight™ is made by the Amazing Creative PaperClay®!
I love the soft hues associated with Winter and I really wanted to do a collage using some of the many pieces I have molded with Delight™.
Supply List:
Chipboard tag 4" X 7.5"
Heavy White Gesso
Delight™ air dry modeling compound
Iron Orchid Molds
Renea Bouquet Flowers
Tim Holtz Chippie sentiments
Cheesecloth
Art Anthology Inks
Art Stones
Sparks Acrylics
White Crackle texture paste
Stencil
Stamps and inks

Prep all of the supplies including molded pieces. Be sure to allow the molded pieces to dry overnight before adding them and creating the tag.

To create this tag start by coating it in heavy white gesso and allowing it to air dry.
Next add a white crackle texture paste through a stencil. Let the paste dry completely to achieve the most crackling effect. The one used here is bricks by Tim Holtz.

Next add your first molded embellishment. This is a column. On this tag I have created leaves, flowers, clock, and the column all from Delight™ air dry modeling compound using silicone molds.

Next add color using a spray ink or watered down acrylic. Here I started with a purple ink. More color can be added once this one dries or is dried with a heat tool.

Add some scrolled lettering stamping lightly. Continue to build and add embellishments and flowers until you have the desired result.

Delight™ air dry modeling compound is lightweight when dry so it is great for creating projects such as tags and cards. It takes very well to inks and sprays when dried and gessoed as well.

Butterflies and Blooms

Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing this collage created using Delight™ from Creative Paperclay®!
I am constantly molding flowers and other embellishments using Delight™ because they are a great thing to have on hand. For this project I pulled out my stash and made a collage!

Start by coating a small canvas with heavy white gesso and allow to dry. Then gather up molded pieces and arrange them in the composition you like.

Apply heavy white gesso again making sure to get everything coated. Next, add color by starting with a base color such as the Plaid acrylic in Key West (Apple Barrel®) that I chose. Water down by spritzing with a water bottle and dab off excess. Dry with a heat tool.

Continue layering colors in the palette you choose. Build the colors one at a time drying in between each. I used several products in my collage which I have listed at the end of this post.

Add art stones and Dew Drops from The Robin's Nest for texture.

For my collage I used the following products:
Prima and Plaid silicone molds
Art Stones
Mini Art Stones
Wooden swirl embellishments
Plaid™ acrylics
Irridescent acrylics
Art Anthology Colorations
5 X 7 canvas
Heavy White Gesso

Molding and Repurposing with Delight®

Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing a fun project! Have you ever tried Delight™ air dry modeling compound from Creative Paperclay®? It is so versatile and dries fast! When used with silicone molds it holds its shape and so much detail can be achieved!
I had this boring cardboard box that I wanted to use. With it's tall shape it will make a great storage box for markers!

I coated the box first with heavy white gesso twice and allowed it to dry. Next I used a Prima silicone mold with Delight™ to create the pretty strips. I bent them around the box to get the right bends and let them dry.

Using a matte gel medium I adhered the strips around the top and bottom of the box. I then created some flowers using silicone molds and Delight™. These were also left to dry.

Supply List:
Silicone molds
Matte Gel medium
Heavy white gesso

The Delight™ is amazing for molding embellishments for any project! Join me for my July post here where I will reveal the finished, painted, and embellished box!
