Samuel's Favourite Page is....

...... 59 in the New Idea Book and Catalogue.
He loves both the Dinoroar and I Dig You Stamp Sets.
He is going to Joshua's 7th Birthday Party tomorrow.
So I have used Dinoroar Stamp Set for the birthday card.
I have used my Brayer and Sponges to do the back ground.
I stamped the dinosaurs on Water Colour Paper and used Aqua Painters to colour them.
I got my inspiration for the colours of the dinosaurs from Land Before Time characters.
Darian use to love these videos, with the adventures of Littlefoot, Cera, Petrie.
I sponged and placed Chomper in the inside of the card.

Because I Care

I have had 6 sympathy cards to make over the last couple of weeks.
They are the most difficult cards to make.
I have used 'Because I Care' Hostess Level 1 Stamp Set.
I stamped it on WaterColour Card and used Aqua Painters to colour it in.
I used Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Stazon Black, Old Olive, Concord Crush and Lap of Luxury DSP.
I used Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, Old Olive, Stazon Black and Lap of Luxury DSP.
I cheated with this card, I had a couple of these Brayered panels left over from last years Regional swap, I changed the mounts and added the bling.
Last night the Online Class at Crafters Anonymous was great we made Star boxes.
I will be back later in the week to show you.
I need to get cracking on making 2 birthday cards for Thursday.
Have a great day.

Better Late Than Never

On the 24th November was our First Kiwi Stampers Team Meeting.
As per normal we did swaps, we needed to make 17 swaps.
I finished mine this Friday, ( yes ladies I put them in the post on yesterday) hopefully you will recieve them on Monday or Tuesday.
I had them almost finished but my Sentiment Journey Stamp Set (Summer Mini) hadn't arrived when I left for Christchurch were the meeting was. Paul phoned to say it had arrived that afternoon, I had left in the morning but even if I had waited I would have had time to complete them.
So now the long wait is over, I hope the ladies think the wait was worth it.
This is my swap.
I cased this from Michelle Zindorf go check out her blog it is a must visit blog, she does the most beautiful brayer work and she has over 300 tutorials.
When I first saw this on Michelle's blog, I loved the plane with the flourish and I thought of Air New Zealand and the Koru on the tail of there planes.
I have made a complete card as we have friends packing up and moving over the ditch to Aussie and I thought it would be a great card to give to them as they continue on there lifes journey.
This is the inside of the card, the stamp I have used is from 'Word Play' Stamp Set.
It is a fabulous Set, I fell in love with in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalogue.
I thought both stamp sets would be good sets for card making and scrapbooking.
So what do you think are these great sets?

Ink: Early Espresso, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Piont, Night of Navy and VersaMark.

For Anna

Here is the card I have made for my cousin Anna and her 2 children.
I needed inspiration for this card, so yesterday I surfed the net for cards.
I found a card on Tania Gould blog here.
Thanks Tania for the inspiration when I saw your card I thought it looked like the West Coast (South Island NZ).
So this card is pretty much a complete case of her card.
Tania sponged hers, were I used my brayer and sponges and I have used this weeks sketch challenge at JAI#45.
I matted my scene with Rich Razzleberry and Wild Wasabi, I didn't have any Rich Razzleberry Ribbon so I dyed some Very Vanilla 5/8' Satin Ribbon which I dyed with Rich Razzleberry Ink Refill.
I ruffed my Ribbon, which very easy to acheive and gives some dimension to your card.
This is the iside of the card, were I have used Pocket Silhouettes in the corner. I like to use something from the outside into the inside of the card.

I Have Cased....

...Another Michelle Zindorf card.
You must go and have a look at her blog here, she does the most amazing pieces of work with her Brayer and Stamps.
Michelle is a Demonstrator in the West Alexandria, USA.
She teaches Stamping and Brayer Workshops all across the States.
If she was ever to come to New Zealand, I would be there with bells on, I would beg, borrow or steal to get to wherever she would be teaching (just kidding about stealing but I think you get the gist of what I saying).
Go and check her blog, she has 364 tutorials.
Here is my CASE (Copy And Share Everything) of her latest tutorial #364 found here.
I had fun making it, it was a quick card to make.
Please don't be too harsh on me if you are comparing it to Michelle's, I do love it.
I have used a different tree stamp to what Michelle has used as we don't have that one in NZ.
Supplies List
Stamp Sets: Winter Post and Lovely as a Tree.

Card Stock: Basic Black, Baja Breeze, Sahara Sand and Whisper White.

AB Fab Day At Christchurch Regionals

Saturday I attended the Christchurch Regional Training Day.
What a Day, it was full on but so inspiring.
Sophie from Aussie, ( Australian Trainer ) was great so easy to listen too, she has given us new techniques to try. There were 4 make 'n' takes for us to do using 'Happy Moments'Stamp Set (out of the new catalogue) which we got free for attending. The stamp set has lots of scope for watercolouring, it was a stamp set that didn't appeal when I first saw it but now that I have a played with it I can see that I will use it.
It was so nice getting together with other demos, and to meet people whose blogs I read and of course the swaps that were swapped.
Here is my swap that I made.
I have used my brayer and sponges to make this card.
Colours I have used are Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, Pacific Point, Not Quite Navy, So Saffron and Always Artichoke. Pocket Silhouettes was the stamp set I used.
To get the waves I dragged Baja Breeze and Not Quite Navy Ink pads across the card and added White Gel Pen.
The swaps were great, some using new stamp sets from the new catty. Thanks for sharing your swaps. It such a great way to get different ideas.

It was such a fun day, I will be back tomorrow to tell you more.

Cased Michelle Zindorf

Here's a card that I cased from Michelle Zindorf.
Michelle does the most amazing brayered and sponged cards and she is very generous and has tutorials for her cards. Her blog is a must visit blog.
This is the inside of the card.
I have used Asian Artistry Stamp Set (Level 2 hostess set). If you would like to earn this Stamp Set contact me to book a workshop.
I have used Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango and Always Artichoke Ink.
In my last order I bought myself the White Gel Pen, I have owned white gel pens in the pass and have never been impressed with there performance. SU White Gel Pen is great I'm so impressed I know I will use it lots.
I have used it to colour the wings on the Dragonfly and ripples in the water.

I can’t tell you what’s coming up next as we don’t know until that day of the special.
And to a card I made over the weekend.
This card was inspired by a card Michelle Zindorf had made, she is a very talented lady with a brayer.
I am enjoying using my brayer very much.
On this card I have used my Brayer and Sponges.
On Friday night I stayed over at the Guide Hall as a parent help on a senior guides camp. So I when armed with most of my craft supplies and even phone Paul (DH) a couple of time to bring me bits that I had left behind. I got 20 cards complete 5 cards of 4 designs.
I made them for Agape Children's Home in Thailand, Bev Watt saw a docomentary (Aussie) on the home and was deeply moved and emailed them and asked if cards would be of any help to them. They replied and said that cards would be great as they like to celebrate the children's birthdays and often there printer is broken so that they can't print cards. Bev asked for help to make them and has committed to sending them 200 cards.
This is another design that I did for them.
I will show you the other two designs tomorrow.
Have a great day.
