Stamp Layering With White Ink

Hello!  I am sharing a video about this simple layered stamping technique on the Waffle Flower Crafts blog today!  It is simple and may not have warranted a video but sometimes it's easy to forget just how simple techniques can be!  They don't all need to take a half an hour to do, right? :)

This card features the DT Mix Stamp Set, Holiday Labels-Merry Stamp Set, Doily Circle Stamp Set, and Flower Circle Dies.  I did some layering with white cardstock as well.  I kept the embellishments and layout simple so the stamping would really stand out.
Here is a closer look at the center:

Clique Kits & Friends June Blog Hop

Hi!  Aren't you happy it's Friday?  This week went by so fast!  We are looking forward to softball and the school carnival this weekend- I can't wait!

Today I'm hopping along with Clique Kits as part of their Clique Kits & Friends June Blog Hop.  Nina at Waffle Flower Crafts got me the hook up with this one and I'm so excited about it!  Clique Kits sent me the prettiest kit to use:

I really love it and already have plans for more fun projects!  Here is what I made for today- a couple of cards incorporating my favorite things from the Clique Kit and Waffle Flower Crafts:

The color scheme is so peaceful and pretty, isn't it?  I love the hints of pink and gold sprinkled throughout everything!
Here is a closer look at the cards:

I incorporated that great feather diecut from the June Kit and the Doily Circle Die on this one.  They work so well together!  I added a bit more gold as well so it really catches the eye in person.  The pretty sentiment is from the Flower Circle Stamp Set.

Isn't that flair cool?  I love it too!  :)  Here is my second card:

You can see I used more fun things from the June Kit along with the Riverside Stamp Set for this one.  I stamped a little scene on some natural white cardstock using the stamp set as my focal point.  The bits and pieces from the kit are the perfect accent.

A bunch of creative ladies are hopping along with me today- be sure to check everyone's projects out!

Year 1 Blog Hop with Waffle Flower Crafts

Hi!  I'm excited to be hopping along with Waffle Flower Crafts today for their Year 1 Blog Hop!

I'm so happy to be celebrating Nina and her awesome company- they have grown so much this year!  If you are following along with the hop, I bet you came from Sabrina Alery's blog.  If not, pop over to check it out!  Her projects are amazing!

Nina had us all pick our favorite Waffle Flower Crafts product from the last year.  Oh how hard it was to just pick one!!  I love so many stamp sets and literally have a new favorite with every release!  One item that I constantly pull out to use over and over again is the Flower Circles Die Set:

It is a great basic die set with pretty stitching along the edges.  I love the mix of circles and flowers.  It is so versatile and can be used in so many ways!  I used it to make my card today:

I started with a white card base and splattered it with dark gray mist.  I added some black and white washi tapes next and then a panel of black and white patterned paper.  I wanted to create a bright pop with the largest scallop so I watercolored a panel of watercolor paper with pink and coral.  Once it was dry, I diecut it with the scallop and smallest flower.
I diecut the largest circle out of white for my center.  I pulled out the new Doily Circle Stamp Set for the sentiment.  I stamped the Smile with a bright pink ink and the rest of the sentiment with black ink.  I layered the flower elements over the black and white patterns and popped up the layers as I went.  I added a matte black sequin to the center of the small flower and embellished it with the Tiny Twine Bow Die.  It was the perfect last detail:

Sunshine and Rain Card

Hello!

How's your day going so far?  Mine is good- and it's Thursday!  The weekend is sooo close! :)  Today I'm sharing a card I made with Waffle Flower Craft's Rain Check Stamp Set.  I was inspired by the latest Waffle Flower Challenge- the colors are so pretty and spring like!

I stamped the rays from the Rain Check Stamp Set onto the purple cardstock with Versamark ink.  Then I splattered it with white mist and set it aside to dry.  I diecut a bit of vellum with the largest circle from Flowers Circle Die Set.  I stamped a few clouds with turquoise ink and diecut them out using the Partly Cloudy Die Set.  I also cut a bit of rainbow striped patterned paper to go along with everything else.

Once the mist was dry, I adhered the purple paper onto the gray cardstock base.  I added the strip of rainbow patterned paper and then stamped my sentiment just below it with black ink.  I added my vellum circle next, tucking a bit of gray string underneath it with the adhesive.  I layered the clouds next, using foam adhesive on the top on to make it pop.  I finished it all off with a few epoxy dots to bring in a bit of green.

The colors are not ones I usually reach for but I do love how it turned out!  Here is the Waffle Flower Challenge inspirational photo- there is still plenty of time to play along!!

Thanks for stopping by here today!  I hope you are enjoying your Thursday as much as I am! :)

Waffle Flower Challenge- Hello Friend Card

Hi!  Hope you're having a good day!  I have a new card to share inspired by the current Waffle Flower Challenge.  This time I chose to play along with the technique challenge:

Here is the card I made:

I made a pattern in banner form using the Flower Circle set.  I started with a light blue card base and stamped the different sized circles with various shades of turquoise and blue.  I added white in there, too- heat embossing the smaller circle image.
Once my circles were all stamped, I used my machine to sew a banner string in there to connect all the circles.  I added the epoxy dots next to add a little dimension.
The sentiment has also been heat embossed using white embossing powder.

This was such a fun card to make!  I love how the stitching really ties it all together.  I also love how the white embossing turned out.

I hope you have a chance to play along with the Waffle Flower Challenge this month!  Cute Waffle Flower stamps and dies are up for grabs if you do!!  Pop over to the Waffle Flower blog to check it out and to see what the rest of the design team created!
