Teacher Cards

Hi There!  Well it's Tuesday!  It's also the last day of school for us this year!  It's amazing how fast the school year went--  I can't believe that I'll have 1st and 3rd graders in a few months!  Today I wanted to share a couple of the cards I created for my girls' teachers this year.  I am so thankful for the staff at their school!  We have had a great year and I've seen my girls grow so much!  I know a lot of it has to do with school and especially their teachers!

For these cards, I used Lawn Fawn's A Good Apple set.  I love how the mini chalkboards turned out!

This one is for Zoey's teacher.  He is so great!  For this, I used Simple Stories 24/7 line.  I kept it simple to let the sentiment shine!

Here is Natalie's teacher's card:

I used Pebbles Inc. Lakeside collection.  Again, I kept it simple!

I had lots of fun stamping these little chalkboards!  Of course, both girls said "Mom, you know we have white boards at school, don't you?"  lol!  Times have changed!  Maybe I'll try a white board next time! Wouldn't that be cute with neon embossing powder?

Well, hope you are enjoying your day!  I'm going to get these kids to school and then run my errons!  Happy last day of school! :)

You Brighten My Day Card

I can't help it- these stamps from Avocado Arts are just so easy to use!  I had to make one more card using their Future's So Bright set:

I teamed it up with the Simple Stories 24/Seven 6x6 pad again.  I stamped the lightbulb in yellow ink and drew over it with a yellow Spica pen to add some glitter.  Then, I stamped the sentiment in black.  Since I am creating this for a boy, I kept my embellishments simple and just added a little twine.

I wish you could see that sparkle a little better!  I'm going to have to work on my glitter photography skills :)

Hope you are having a great Thursday!  I'm taking it easy, hanging with my favorite two year old- we're going to build a fort and watch Scooby for a little while before we go play with bubbles outside!  He was so excited when he saw the bubbles!  I can't wait!

Thanks for stopping by today!

A Couple of Disney Layouts

Well, I said I'd be back today and I am! :)  Inspired Blueprints let a bunch of sketches go live last week so I've got two layouts based on two different sketches to share with you!  Both are for my Disney album and happen to feature fun pictures of my sister!  Hee!  I'm sure she'll love that I blogged these!

Here is the first one based on Inspired Blueprints #90:

I created a background using my collection of washi tapes in a criss-cross pattern.  I painted a thin layer of gesso over the top of them to tone them down a bit and then added my pictures, title, and banner.  It's fun and different then my regular scrapping!

The second one is based off of Inspired Blueprints #92:

I love this picture of my sister!  Hee!  She is always up for the goofy things I ask her to do!  We were waiting for the late Main Street parade to start when I took this one!  To showcase this silly picture of my sister, I used the new 24-7 line by Simple Stories. The patterns are all from the 6x6 pad and I used them in place of the pictures in the original sketch.  I embellished the page with a few epoxy dots from My Minds Eye and the stickers and alphabets from the 24-7 collection.

I'm so glad I finally got to share these with you!  If you get a chance, stop by Inspired Blueprints to see all the great sketches that went live last week!  The design team has lots to share!!

Thanks for stopping by today!
