I have a commissioned card today and an interesting challenge blog that I'm going to enter it in. Over on Muse, there are 3 simple rules:
- Use the Muse card as inspiration, explain your interpretation and link back to Muse.
- Provide supportive comments to at least 3 of your fellow members' submissions.
- Vote for 3 of your fellow members' submissions that you find inspiring.
Here's mine:
and here's the Muse Card that inspired it:
So I'm hoping the inspiration is obvious! Different birds, but birds non the less but it's the sentiment that made me laugh. Although in the end I went with a Happy Birthday message to the guy's lovely girlfriend, it was very nearly a "To my Puffin Muffin" after seeing this card :-). Long story short....I heard rumours of his girlfriend making a muffin with a puffin decoration when they first got together....awwwww! So sweet! She's a keen twitcher too! I think she'll like it :-)
Thanks for looking!
Linda
Such a beautiful card...hehe I think I would of gone with "To my Puffin Muffin" LOL that's just too cute!
ReplyDeleteTo my Puffin Muffin would have been the best! But this is such a beautiful card - in awe! Love the vibrant colours, and the fancy card shape!
ReplyDeleteYour card is so cute and I love your design xx
ReplyDeleteOh, good, I was trying to figure out whether they were puffins or ptarmigans (need to go google them again, to straighten out my mind, ok, now that I've done that I'm not sure why I was confused - they're completely different!), but there's not really a good rhyme for ptarmigan now is there! lol! I love stories like that where something like a muffin becomes a memory and symbol of the relationship! You've done a great job with this - so glad you joined us at Muse this week!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card. I saw lots of these little guys on a holiday in Iceland a few years ago. You should have gone for the Puffin Muffin sentiment!
