Eggstra special

Howdy! How's it going? Hope you are enjoying the warm sunny weather outside. :)

The other day I went through my folders on the computer and I realized that there are still plenty of cards that I never posted online, including the one I am about to show you. I don't make a whole lot of Easter cards, but every now and then I make one or two. And when I do, I usually go and ink up the super cute stamps from The greeting farm. Which is exactly what I did here.

After all of the images were stamped and coloured I cut them out using the matching dies. Then I used the images along with some die cuts to create a scene. I did the colouring with polychromos and the lovely papers used on this card are from My mind's eye. The only embellishment I used on this card are the two yellow enamel dots.

I used foam pads on parts of the card for some extra dimension.

Have a wonderful summer! xx

Trio of kittens

Howdy hoy! How are you doing? I've been enjoying the weekend and relaxing. :)

I made this card about a week ago, but I couldn't show it to you sooner so I wouldn't spoil the surprise. But now the birthday lady has already received so it's safe for me to post it here.

As the lady I made this card for loves cats I decided to play with adorable cat stamps from The greeting farm. I coloured the with polychromos and then fussy cut them and glued them to the card. I chose some of the older papers from Maja design and some colid colour cardstock to put the card together. The white circles behind the cats were embossed with Cuttlebug's polka dots embossing folder. At the end I embellished the card with a flower and some crystals. Between some of the layers I added foam pads for some extra dimension.

EDITED TO ADD (18. 03. 2023): I just found out that this card was featured in the issue 21 of Craftworld magazine (page 19). I'm super excited about that! :D

Happy hippo birthday!

Hey, hey! How are you doing? We had a lovely sunny day today, perfect for a short walk. Short, because even though it was sunny it was still cooooold. During the night we got some more snow and even though there was not enough to make a snowman, we were still able to enjoy it. I mean, you don't really need much snow to have a snowball fight, right? ;) My (not so) lil one loved every single minute of it and so did I. Sometime it's the little things that count the most, don't you agree?

A friend of mine celebrated her birthday a couple of days ago and I made a card for her. She's already received it so I can show it to you.

I went back to my usual style (full of layers) with this one ...

Most of the time when I think of creating a bright and positive card my mind immediately goes to yellow colour, so no wonder you can see quite a lot of it here. I paired the yellow cardstock with patterned papers from MME and some white cardstock. I didn't use any embellishments, only a few die cuts to decorate the card. I am not 100% happy with how the sentiment turned out, but since I don't have a printer and no such sentiment among stamps, I had to improvise with alphabet stamps. The sentiment is in Slovenian and it means "happy birthday". I combined two stamps from the MFT stamp set to create the image I used on the card here and I did the colouring with polychromos.

I hope you can see the dimension of this card on the picture above.

So much from me today. Have a beautiful day! xx

Warm and toasty wishes

Hello everybody! We are far into January already and we have fallen back into routine. Well, sort of, we still have a bit of a problem getting up early. :P But I'm sure we'll get used to this again soon.

Today I'm back with a new card. It's a CAS one again. I played with another adorable stamp set that I received for Christmas - Snow one like you by Pink and main. Look how happy this adorable snowman looks bathing in a hot chocolate.

To create this card I embossed a white cardstock with a TH snowflake embossing folder and then glued little snippets of design paper and some gold washi tape over it. I added a white die-cut, over which I stamped with some snowflake stamps. On a separate piece of paper I stamped my main image, coloured it with polychromos, fussy-cut it and glued it on the card with foam pads. I added some stickles on the snowman's scarf. As a finishing touch I added some gold die-cut snowflakes in the middle of which I glued a pearl.

As mentioned above, I only used snippets on this card - I always feel good when I manage to use some of those small pieces of paper. ;) Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the snippets before I cut them and glued them on the card, but I did take a picture right after that, so you can see how much was left after I cut off what I needed for the card (the golden strip on a card is a piece of washi tape). The golden snowflakes were cut from a leftover piece of paper too - of that I actually took photo before I cut the snowflakes out.

I'm very sorry for the bad pictures, but I only have time to craft in the evening and as you can imagine the lightning is terrible then.

Have a lovely day! xx

Reach for the stars

Hey, hey! How are you? We are slowly getting back to "normal". Can't believ the holidays are already over. We sure had a lot of fun and we spent much quality time together. But I guess it's time to go back to "real life" now.

I had some free time and I used it to play with some of my new goodies. First thing I inked were these adorable bunnies from The Greeting Farm; they are from the Let's go stamp set. I fell in love with this set the minute I saw it and I am soooo happy I finally got my hands on it. (Thank you, my sweet friend, for getting it for me!)

One thing I learned while making this card is that I am terrible at ink blending and I really need to practice it. I created the cloudy background with the spun sugar distress ink and then I gold embossed the sentiment in the middle and glued some small gold star sequins around it. For the white cardstock, I stamped on some stars from the stamp set with the weathered wood distress ink and then "coloured" the stars with Stickles. Then I cut a rectangle out of it and a hole in the middle of it with another die. I fussy cut the bunnies and clouds and glued them on the card. I did the colouring with polychromos. I finished the card with some crystals.

I'm sorry the photos are not the best and really don't do the card justice, but I hope you can see the bling and the dimension better here.

My lil one's birthday is soon coming up and she claimed this card for her birthday. I'm really glad she likes it so much.

Waiting for snow

Hello everybody! First of all ... HAPPY NEW YEAR! How did you spend the first few days of 2023? We went to some short trips around here, but we are also spending lots of quality time together at home while we still can. Did you get any new crafty supplies from Santa? I did and I can't wait to use them. :)

Today I finished my first card in 2023 - yay me. :P It's a simple one, but I happy with it. I am still in a holiday spirit so I wanted to create a holiday/wintry card and when I was going through my stash I found this Candibean stamp from Little darlings (it's called Spread a smile of joy) that I've had for a while, but haven't used it yet so I thought it was high time to change that. So I inked the stamp up and went to work.

I coloured the image with polychromos and added some stickles here and there. Then I fussy cut the image, raised it on foam pads and glued it on the card. I finished the card with the sentiment from The Greeting Farm; I thought it went perfectly with the image. I finished the card up with some crystals.

So much from me today. Have a wonderful day! :)

Waving hello

Hello! How are you doing? Summer is in full swing - at least in my part of the world. Have you managed to dip your toes into the ocean yet? The sweet little mermaid that is the star of the card I'm about to show you sure enjoys her time in the water. The image is a Sweet November stap and I coloured it with polychromos.

When making a card, do you usually colour your image first or choose the papers first? I always choose the papers first and then colour the image to match the papers. But this time I first did the colouring. And then when I went to look for the papers to use on this card I ran into a problem. I have A LOT of paper pads so imagine my shock when I couldn't find a single sheet of paper I could (or wanted to) use on my card. So I dived into my huge stock of paper scraps and found the green one and the white corrugated cardstock that you can see on the card. Once the papers were chosen the card came together pretty easily.

To embellish the card I used some pearly and crystals from my stash and I even managed to use some of the marine themed washi tape that I've had in my stash for a while. Score! When all that was done, I thought the card was still missing something, one last tiny detail. And this is where the small shell stickers came in. I didn't have anything suitable, so I asked my little one if she could help. And she could - I guess buying her all those sticker books actually paid off. :P lol

Well, that's all from me for today. Have a wonderful summer! :)

Is it too early for holiday cards?

Hello everybody! How are you doing? It's been a while since I posted anything here. But a lot has been going on here and I barely had any free time. Not that I complain though, pretty much all of the things that kept me busy had been super fun. :D

While I've been enjoying the lovely sunny days, I'm already thinking about December and all the holidays that come with it. Who's with me? Do you work on your holiday cards all year long or you, like me, wait til the last minute to make some? The card I am about to show you was made some time ago, but I'm determined to start making more holiday cards soon.

Today's card was inspired by my other card that I shared with you here. I just love this adorable penguin image from Whimsy stamps and I was pretty happy with the layout of my previous card so I decided to use a similar one here. Between the layers I used foam pads for some extra dimension.

I coloured the image with polychromos and I used stickles and liquid applique on parts of the image. The papers are from DCWV. The only embellishment I used on this card were some small pearls.

So this is it for today. Have a great day! :)

Fun in the snow

Hey hey! It's another foggy day in my corner of the world. You know, one of those days when you wake up but just want to go back to sleep because you don't feel like doing anything. Has that ever happened to you? That's me today. *oops* I did kick myself in the butt though to get things done. Coffee sure helped with that ... And now am I am having a lazy and relaxing evening. I'm watching (or should I say "listening to") a documentary on National Geographic while writing this post.

Yesterday evening I finally made a card that I've been wanting to make for the last two weeks. I just haven't had the time before (or better said "I didn't take the time to do it before"). And I need to make 2 more cards in the next week. I know that's not a challenge for most of you, but it definitely is for me. I'm a super slow crafter and it usually takes me a couple of days (sometimes even more than a week *eeek*) to complete one card. Fingers crossed I will manage.

Anyways, let me show you my newest card ...

Yup, it's wintry card again. One would think I can't even make other kind of cards anymore. But I can, I promise. ;) I made a wintry card because I really wanted to use this penguin stamp on my card. You see, this card is made for the person who gave me this stamp and I wanted her to see how I used it on a card.

As usually I did the colouring with polychromos. The papers are from DCWV paper pad. I used lots of crystals, pearls and die cuts to decorate the card. It's really sparkly in person - just the way I like it. ;) I hope you do too ...

Have an amazing day! xx

Away in a manger

Hey, hey! I hope you had a lovely Christmas. We had a calm family day with some yummy food and good movies. Just the way we like it. <3

I know I'm a day late with this card, but I still hope you can enjoy it.

For a long time I had been looking for a cute nativity stamp set, but none seemed right, but when saw this one from Paperbabe stamps I knew that was the one. I like that it gives you many possibilities on how to put the elements together.

On this card I created the scene with the holy family and a couple of animals. I raised different parts on foam pads to give the card some dimension. I did the colouring with polychromos. On a seperate piece of paper I stamped a sentiment (the sentiment is a stamp from Hobby Lobby) and glued it above the stamped scene. I finished the card up with two crystals.

I wish you a wonderful day and happy holidays! xx

Happy holidays

Hello! The big day is just around the corner. Are you excited? I can't wait. Do you have any special tradition for that day? We watch Mr Bean Christmas while eating some yummy food. :) I already have this year's menu planned (well, most of it anyways). And I've already baked most of the cookies. Just one more batch to go. Do you make all the food yourself or do you prefer to buy things in the store so your don't have to worry about that and can relax?

Have you sent all your Christmas cards yet? I have and most of them were already received. Just 2 or 3 that went overseas are still on their way. But I hope those will show up before the big day too.

The card I'm about to show you has already reached its destination. Here it is ...

I was really happy with how this card turned out. I used different stamps from MFT which I fussy cut to create a scene. I did the colouring with polychromos. On the Christmas tree decorations I added some stickles, beause I wanted to make it more festive. :) I embellished the card with some lace, die cuts and a small  wooden star and a pearl. The sentiment is in Slovenian and it means "happy holidays".

Have a magical holiday season wherever you are. All the best to all of you! xx

Wishing you rainbows and eternal happiness

Hey hey! Can you believe I am already back with another card? Shocking, I know. :P But I wanted to show you another birthday card. I made this card for 6-year-old girl. So, what do most lil girls like? I think most of them like unicorns, rainbows, pink... With that in mind I created the following card. I hope the lil one will like it.

I used the pretty patterned paper that I had in my stash for a long time. And I used these lovely stamps from Mama elephant and cloud die cuts to create a scene. I did the colouring with polychromos and I also used stickles on parts of the images, I finished the card up with some crystals. I mean, who doesn't like some bling, right?! ;)

Celebrate

Hello everybody! How are you doing? Are you ready for the most festive month of the year? I sure am. I love December. Have you put up your Christmas tree yet? We did it this weekend. Normally we do it the first week of December, but this year I bought myself a (gorgeous) 3D advent calendar that I wanted to display next to the Christmas tree so we had to put the tree up sooner. :)

I still have quite some Christmas cards to share with you, but I will do that another time. Today I want to share with you a birthday card that I made for girl that she has her birthday in the beginning of December.

Just a little reminder before I show you the card ... Have you seen my mom's blog candy? If you want to win some markers it's definitely worth checking it out. ;) Click here or on the candy picture in the sidebar to get to the candy post.

And now the card ...

I decided to keep my card simple. I decided to ink up the adorable mouse from CC designs. I love this image. It's so cute and playful. I coloured the image with polychromos, fussy cut it and then glued it on the card. For glueing I used foam pads for some extra dimension. I finished the card up with some enamel dots and the celebrate sticker.

So much from me today. See you again soon :)

Joy!

Hello everybody! How are you doing? It's getting really cold here. But then again, it's almost November already. Crazy, right? Where did the time go?

I still have several holiday cards I want to share with you and this is one of them. But before I do that let me tell you about a fab crafty candy my mum has on her blog.

If you want to win some of those markers click here and read what you have to do. ;)

And now let me show you my card...

I was very lucky to receive this super cute penguin stamp from a very sweet lady and I am very grateful to her. I love these adorable penguins, they bring a smile to my face each time I look at them. I hope the person who gets this card will feel the same way.

Again I used the pretty papers from DCWV and I coloured the image with polychromos. Penguins are a Whimsy stamps stamp and presents are The greeting farm stamps. I didn't use any embellishments here (shocking, I now), just a few die cuts.

I used foam pads between the layers to give the card some dimension.

That's it for today. Have a lovely day!

Mugs and kisses

Hey hey! How are you doing? Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am. We are meeting with some friends so I think it'll be a fun one. Do you have any plans?

Before I show you the card I want to tell you about a yummy crafty candy my mom has on her blog. Click here if you want to check it out. :)

So, now let me show you my card.

I used quite a lot of scraps on this card, e.g. the wite corrugated cardboard, the colourful Christmas tree paper and even the green stars are cut from those small pieces of paper. It feels really great using those small paper scraps and snippets.

The image I used for this card is from The greeting farm and it's called Holiday Anya 6. Isn't she adorable? She's one of my favourite TGF stamps. :) I coloured her with polychromos. On the mug I put a silver snowflake sticker that's been in my stash forever. The sentiment comes with the stamp too.

The triangles paper was actually just a white cardstock over which I stamped with a stamp from Paper babe stamps. I embellished the card with some round and star shaped sequins.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Do you want to share a cookie with me?

Hello everybody! How are you doing?

I promised to share some more cards that I made, so here is the next one. :)

For this one I decided to keep the design simple. I used the adorable Holiday Anya 6 stamp from The greeting farm. I coloured her with polychromos. I didn't add a whole lot of embellishments, just a couple of sequins and some teeny tiny pearls.

I really like the look of CAS cards, but I find them difficult to make. For me making fully loaded cards with lots of layers and embellishments is much easier. What about you?

Hot chocolate anyone?

Hi everybody! How are you doing? I've been keeping myself busy with day-to-day activities and I've been experimenting in the kitchen. I love cooking and baking and I always keep my eyes out on the new things I can/have to try. So if you have a favourite recipe that you care to share, please do so. :) I was thinking about posting some of the stuff I make in the kitchen here, but then I've decided to keep this blog for my papercrafts (and maybe occassional piece of handmade jewelry) only. However, I'm sharing most of the dishes I make on my instagram so feel free to have a look, if you want. :)

Besides cooking and baking I've also made a couple of cards, which I would like to share with you. You can see the first one below and the others will follow in the upcoming weeks.

So, the first card I want to share with your is a Christmas one. I decided to use one of the super cute images from Severine Aubry on my card - this little fella always brings a smile to my face. :D I definitely wouldn't mind if he came here so we could share a cup of hot chocolate. ;)

I coloured the image with polychromos. I'm on a mission to "shop in my stash", so on this card I used quite a few things that I've had in my stash for what seems like forever - crystals, acetate frame with stars, rub-on sentiment and even the die cut frame is an oldie.

Have you started working on your Christmas projects? Or are you currently hooked on Halloween stuff?

So much for today. Wishing you all a wonderful day! xx

How the holidays start ...

Hello everybody! How are you doing?

Today I want to share with you another Christmas card I made.

I don't have a printer so I very, very rarely use digi stamps, even though I have plenty in my collection. Do you use digi stamps? I know there are several advantages to digi stamps compared to rubber/clear ones (e. g. resizing images to your desired size, price etc.), but even so I prefer the "real" stamping - meaning using a rubber/clear stamp and ink. BUT there are some images that I really, really like that only come as digi stamps. So when I visited my parents one day I asked them if I could use their printer to print a couple of images. One of the images I printed was this cute image from Polkadoodles that I used on the card below.

I coloured the image with polychromos and added some liquid applique on parts of the image to make it more interesting. The papers are from DCWV. I decorated the card with some die cut stars and crystals. The sentiment is a rub-on from Stampin' up. I added some foam pads between the layers for some extra dimension.

I hope you like this card. Have you started on your Christmas cards yet or will you make them later in the year?

Have a wonderful day! xx

Holiday card... In June

Hey, hey! How are you doing? Have your summer vacations started yet? We are still waiting for ours. But until they come I will play with my craft supplies and hopefully make several holiday cards so I will have enough for when the holidays actually come.

I would like to share one of the Christmas cards today.

I used the adorable image from MFT. First I coloured the image with my polychromos and then fussy cut it. Then I paper pieced the scarf so it matched the patterned paper. The papers are from Maja Design and Craft & you. I embellieshed the card with some lace, pearls, crystals and die cut snowflakes.

I raised different layers on foam pads for some extra dimension.

Snowy hugs

Hey hey! I have some extra free time and I decided to use it to share a Christmas/holiday card I made. You probably know I love making those to send them out to friends and family during the holiday season. And recently I received some new super cute and fun winter stamps and I can't wait to use them, but you'll have to wait a little bit longer to see cards made with them (I'm a SUPER slow crafter and right now I am quite busy at work). Today I'll share with you another winter/holiday card that I made with one of my favourite holiday images - this adorable snowman from Stamping Bella...

I took the inspiration from the previous two cards I shared with you on my blog - I kept the same design as I used on the card that I shared with you here and I created the same striped background with washi tape as I did on the card I shared with you here. I like how colourful this card is. Might need to make another one like it, even though I usually don't make duplicate (or even more of the same) cards. As usually I did the colouring with polychromos and then I fussy cut the image and raised it on foam pads for some extra dimension.

That's all from me today. Have a lovely day! xx
