Crystal Butterfly

Hi everyone. I'm still making Christmas gifts.  I'm so far behind schedule I'm not sure if I will be finished in time.  All that aside, it's great to have an excuse to do some much crafting.

This is a new trinket box that I have made.  I love making these and they make such great gifts.  This one is hand stamped with fairy writing in faded jeans distress ink.  The tag was done using the same colour.

I have used an Anitas  dimensions butterfly as well as a die cut butterfly in silver and lots of 2mm clear crystals.  I love my flowers and the ones I get from Wild Orchid Crafts are great.

The blue ribbon matches the one I used on the tag and the cream lace works really well with the ivory flowers.

I am entering this trinket box in the following challenges:-

Everybody Art - Little present
My Time To Craft - Take two - I used two butterflies
One Stop Craft - Ribbons and lace

Birthday wishes

I as digging through my scraps drawer when I came across two bits of HOTP papers that go really well together.  I didn't actually plan this card I just started playing and waited to see what would emerge.

I'm loving the flowers that I bought recently, so they are turning up on most of my projects :O).  I've used rose leaves and a lily leaf on this one.  I went a bit mad with the pearls, but I like the effect that I got on an earlier project with them, so I ran with it.  The swirly sentiment is one from a sheet of Kanban.  I couldn't resist the butterfly.

I am entering this card for the following challenges:

The Crafty Pad - Pearls and swirls
Simon Says - Anything goes
MAWTT - Anything goes

Flutterbys

I just had to fit at least one quick card in today.  The theme of this one came from SCSC who asked us to use butterflies.  The vellum is covered in them and I have added two Anitas dimensions butterflies to give it a bit of wow factor.

I have used silver peel off trim around the outer edge of the vellum and edged the inner piece with silver leaf pen.  I did use invisi dots on the vellum, but I also used brads just to be sure that the front wouldn't fall off.

Moving Along with the times asked us for more than one fold which is where the idea for the shape of the card came from.  Bizzy Becs Creatalicious Challenges asked us for two tone so that was the inspiration for the colour scheme.

Two Butterflies

Normally I don't make repeat cards. Once I have used a design, I very rarely revisit it for quite a long time. Today I found a sketch that I liked so much that I made two similar cards, one straight after the other. Unfortunately I can't find where I saw the sketch to credit them with it.

Sorry about the poor quality of this picture, but I couldn't get the lighting right. I made the silver and white version first and followed up with the black and gold version. The idea to use silver and gold came from this weeks challenge at One stop craft challenge who asked us to use something metallic as inspiration.

Allsorts challenge blog gave us a picture of a butterfly bracelt to take inspiration from, hence the butterflys and Simon Says asked for things with wings.

Delicate

This card was inspired by the It's all white card that I made a few days ago.

I have used a white card blank, additional white card, which I embossed, baby pink organza ribbon, stick on pearls, printed vellum, Anitas dimension butterfly, a silver rose (in the center of the prima flowers) and a couple of gems. I have edged the poem and the vellum with my silver Krylon pen to make them pop a bit more.

I am going to enter this card for the challenge over at My time to craft who asked us to use roses in our project. I hope my tiny rose counts.

It's all white

I love a colour challenge and white on white is one of the toughest ones I have done. This is the second time I have done a card using only white (well I cheated a bit with touches of silver this time), but I am really pleased with the end result.

Sorry about the photo, but I really couldn't wait until the morning to photograph this one. I embossed part of a white card blank and then brushed a Moonlight White Brilliance ink pad over it to add a opalescent effect to the embossed part. I have added flowers, stick on pearls and a silver rose charm, plus an Anita's dimensions butterfly. I made the "Mum" topper using a silver Krylon pen and peel offs.

The white on white idea came from this weeks challenge over at Charisma Cards. Cute Cards Thursday asked for flowers and Creative inspirations asked for a feminine card.
