Good morning everyone, I hope you are not melting in the heat like I am! Hugs.
My card for today is for a young man who has recently taking up playing golf, I hope he appreciates it (the card, that is) :o)
Base card is, as usual, white linen from Papermill Direct, folded and cut to 7x5.
I open my photograph, taken a few years ago at Allestree Golf Course, Derby, in PSP then merged the digi image from Karen's Doodles and added the sentiment using Papyrus font.
I printed it, along with a second image, onto the same linen card.
This is what it looked like before I cut the main image to size and coloured them with Caran D'Ache watercolour pencils.
I then fussy cut the golfer and attached him to the main image and then layered it onto blue card from my scrap box.
Some of my Docrafts buddies and I have been discussing the lack of flutterbies this year but on Tuesday they were here and I managed to get a few photographs.
The first pic is a peacock flutterby, and the others are small tortoiseshell. The little beauties move so fast it was difficult to get decent pics but i managed these few :o)

I agree on the lack of butterflies this year Jackie, I have seen very few despite having a good few shrubs that normally attract them.
Your card is just perfect for a golfer.

Such a great card, clever merging. Lovely butterfly pics, we mainly get white ones and have seen several over the last few days, with the occasional tortoiseshell one too.
A fabbie card for a golfer Jackie... and yes I hope he appreciates the work you put into it too.. the merging and decoupage look so good!
Beautiful pics too... thanks for sharing (even though I have a phobia of butterflies in real life, I can appreciate these photos)

Hi Jackie, just been catching up on your posts since my last visit and, as usual, you've been making lots of beautiful cards recently. This one is fab too, and ingenious of you to combine your photo with a digi image - I'm sure the novice golfer will love it. As for butterflies, there really has been very few here too, even though our butterfly bush has been doing its best to lure them in. I did see a white one this morning but even they are so rare ... so sad :( Oh, I'm melting in this heat too, only venturing out early morning or later when it's cooler. Hugs, Elizabeth xx
Great use of the golfer digi with your photo Jackie!

What a great great card. Love how you showed us the progression of this really cool card that this man will love. The butterflies are gorgeous. You called them something different...perhaps a different species...but whatever...they are sooooo pretty and so is your photography .
