St. Patrick's Day with Imaginisce

Hello! I admit that I don't send a lot of St. Patty's Day cards which is embarrassing since I am mostly Irish. But I do enjoy sending them to smaller humans as I think they get a real kick out of getting something cute and quirky in the mail. :)

This little worm was super fun. I hid the face that was originally in the die cut and replaced it with a stamp so I could add a little more character. St. Patrick's Day is all about the sparkle for me so I added some glitter pretty much wherever I wanted to accent.

Now break out your Imaginisce patterned papers, find the greens, golds, and oranges and make a card for someone random - just to make them smile. :)

Supply List:
Imaginisce: Patterned Papers (Welcome Spring)
Imaginisce: Bling (My Baby)

3-D Wednesday with My Creative Time!

Jolly good mornin' to you my friends! I am over compensating in happiness as I am at the dentist right now getting work done... boo. ugh. okay, enough complaining and onto the CUTENESS!

LOVIN' this treat slider box die. It's only available for pre-order so if you want one, grab one! That doesn't mean you have missed it. You just have to let her know you want one before she will order it from the manufacturer. It's so easy to put together... seriously... so easy.... The link is below in the recipe.

The scalloped portion was actually designed to go AROUND the little candy bars that fit inside, but I liked it for a sentiment piece.

Peachy Keen, Gossamer Blue, and Glitter, OH MY!

Well, I got the sweetest little package in the mail from a bloggy friend (and a real life friend - double bonus! We just met through the blog world) and I knew I wanted to make a special thank you for her from Emmaline. (If you know who you are, I haven't gotten it in the mail yet!)

She LOVES red, glitter, polka dots, and doilies. I had a doily on here but couldn't make it work - and when the husband agrees with you - you know you have to pull it off. So I ripped the card apart and flung the doily aside, but it's the thought that counts, right? (because the execution was meh.)

The one below was taken at night, but shows more of the sparkle. This little card practically lights up!

Recipe:

I also wanted to participate in a few challenges with this card:
Shop Pumpkin Spice - New Year - she said we could be creative and honestly, the new year means that a: I need thank you notes for Christmas time and
b: I should have sent them out already!

New Collection By Imaginisce: Hippity Hop!

Welcome to the release party of Hippity Hop! This may be my most favorite collection YET! Over at Imaginisce, we are having a splendid time playing with it, inspiring you and... yes... giving some away! Check out how you can win something over HERE!

When we got the sneak peeks of this collection, the girls sweetly teased "I see Courtney making a shaped bunny card with this collection". Ugh! They know me so well! I LOVE those girls!!! So here it is in all it's bunny glory! :)

Recipe:

--------------------

I know I know, it's shocking, but I actually did a card
a: without the Cricut
b: clean and simple
c: PAPER PIECED!
I saw this stamp and IMMEDIATELY knew I wanted to do this with it. I am so glad it turned out about the same way as it did in my head. :)

I was super inspired to paper piece by my DTmate and sweet friend (and now DT leader for Imaginisce) Cari Locken. She paper-pieced our sweet penguin stamp in this post HERE. It's a gorgeous layout! So I was excited to try something simpler like my little umbrella friend here. :)

Party Time and a winner from Shop Pumpkin Spice

***SCROLL DOWN FOR THE MY PINK STAMPER BLOG HOP AND GIVEAWAY OPPORTUNITY! :) ***

This week at Peachy Keen Stamps, the challenge is to use both a face stamp and to make a shaped card...

Well, you ALL know how much I love to make shaped cards so I thought, why not!? :)

Jill from Jillibean Soup gave me a sheet of the white corrugated kraft to try cutting on the Cricut. I used a deep cut blade with the blade on 5, pressure high and speed slow. And it cut wonderfully! It wasn't absolutely perfect, but it was good enough for sure! I don't think you could cut intricate shapes very easily, but I was really pleased with the result. So thank you to Jill for giving it to me to try out! :)

I must say I had a ball (pun intended) making this topiary! It came together MUCH quicker than I expected thanks to my i-bond! My DT sisters at Imaginisce helped me with the bottom portion of the topiary and suggested toile, raffia, and burlap. So I did ALL of them! Thanks ladies!!!

Naturally you need THANK YOU NOTES as guests are always so generous! So wouldn't this be a fun one to show up in the mail?

OUT FOR PUBLICATION! :)

I used the Critter Faces again - PK-755:

Recipe:

I have SUCH a huge treat for you today in the way of the prize you can win. When I went to CHA in January I stayed with Robyn (My Pink Stamper), Karlee, and Tammy Skinner (Creative Critters Cricut Club) -  names you probably know. But I also stayed with two fabulous blog-less ladies (we keep trying to get them to start blogs!!!) who are best friends with Tammy. Angela and Myrel.

Now, they are both extremely talented and Myrel makes Gypsy bags!!! They are SO adorable. This is the one she made for me (I JUST LOVE IT) and it's on its way to me right now so that is not my Gypsy, it's Myrel's.

My Gypsy (named Benjamin Franklin because I bought it for $100) has a green cover - and you know how I feel about green - so Myrel made me this one with the green wording!! Benjamin is going to feel SO loved in this! Isn't this the cutest thing that you ever did see???

Now, she has offered to make one for one of YOU!!! I couldn't be more excited about this giveaway! THANK YOU MYREL!!! If you aren't the super lucky person who wins this gift, then you can contact Myrel at myrelf@aol.com about ordering one for yourself.

Remember to leave a comment! Join me tomorrow for the project that definitely took the longest to make!

PKS Guest Designer - Woodland Themed Party - CupcakeToppers

Day 3 at the Peachy Keen Blog and this week is flying by!

Today I have some fun cupcake toppers for your party! I wish I could take credit for these cupcakes, but they are courtesy of Whole Foods. Their red velvet cupcakes are AMAZing. Go right now, drive, get one, come back, and then read the post while eating pure yumminess. I bought these just to stage the shot... really... I did... and then I ate one the minute I finished taking this picture... all for the love of you all. :)

Can't you just see the kids saying, "I want the bird." "I want the hedgehog." "I want the skunk!"?

OUT FOR PUBLICATION! :)

I used the Critter Faces - PK755 in large. For the bird eye, I simply masked the rest of the face to get the bright eye. I liked the way it looked.

Recipe:

Don't forget to leave a comment to have a chance to win the PK794 stamps in medium! Today's giveaway will be something of my choosing from Pumpkin Spice - my sponsor and my favorite online store! I'm considering buying an i-rock (because I am on the Imaginisce DT), or an Echo Park Paper Pack (because I LOVE their paper), or a set of My Pink Stamper stamps. What do YOU think? Leave what you would like to win most in your post and I might just make that come true!

PKS Guest Designer - Woodland Themed Party - Favors

Hello again out there in bloggy world! This is day 2 of 5 for my Peachy Keen Guest Design Week.

Part 2 of our Woodland Party Theme this week is FAVORS! Every party needs favors! I always try to think of something that's inexpensive and still personable. Read further to see what I made this out of!!!

This idea came from my good friend June (who doesn't remember saying this) but I was bouncing ideas off her and she said "log" and I thought "toilet paper roll"! Okay, so they don't seem like they should go together, but they do!!! I'll show you!!!

OUT FOR PUBLICATION! :)

That, my friends, is a toilet paper roll covered in paper and embellished. The ribbon tied around it will keep any candy inside of the log! How good would this look with gummy worms coming out! Okay, maybe that's just me, but I think it would!

I used the PK490 Everyday Character Face Assortment on my mushrooms.

Recipe:
Paper: My Mind's Eye: Stella and Rose: Mabel "Joy" Woodgrain Paper™, My Mind's Eye: Fine and Dandy: True Blue "Splendid" Paper
Cardstock: Paper Trey Ink (Pure Poppy and Stamper's Select White) and Cricut Earthtones (greens)
Ribbon: Paper Trey Ink: Pure Poppy Saddlestitch
White Gel Pen
Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro™
i-bond by Imaginisce™ (cordless glue gun)
(for the cheeks) Design Memory Craft: Mix and Match Sampler

Design Memory Craft contacted me and offered to send me product and offered two giveaways if I would review their product! Today I used their Gelato that was included in the Mix and Match Sampler for the cheeks of my mushrooms. I used the blender that comes in their essentials kit to blend out the cheeks. I really liked the result!

This is what the Mix and Match sampler looked like that they are going to give away to two of you!

This is what the Color Gelatos and Clear Stamp set looks like that they are also going to give away to two of you!

There is a LOT more to play with that they sent me, but this week, I will be using them on Peachy Keen Critters. Going forward, I can see a lot more uses for these and will share with you as I go along. If you would like to read more about their products and the company (which just launched at CHA in January) then go HERE.

Now, don't forget that I am giving away a set of Critter Faces in MEDIUM  this week but I won't tell you what post it is going to be on! :) I am also giving away TWO sets of the Design Memory Craft: Mix and Match Sampler as well as the Color Gelatos and Clear Stamp! I think you're getting the drill by now! Just leave me a comment on my blog all week and I will draw a random winner of this FABulous set!!!

Check the post I left earlier for another giveaway opportunity for Imaginisce goodies! Just leave a comment on every post this week between Monday and Friday and you will have amazing chances to win things!

Also, if you feel so inclined to put my blinkie on your blog, I would be thrilled! :)

Peachy Keen, Embellish Magazine, and My Pink Stamper

Here is another card that I made today for a few challenges.

Peachy Keen had a sketch for us:

Embellish Magazine is a new one for me. I got there from Jenny at Wee Memories' blog. So this is my first time in this challenge. It was a color challenge with paper piecing and I had a great time with this color combo. I had to tone it down because I had too many patterns and variations! :)

Lastly My Pink Stamper is doing the Anything Goes challenge so I am entering this in that one as well.

I used EAD Designs's Right on Target Stickerz for the tree and adorable mushroom. I love their products. They say the stickerz are reposition-able and thank goodness for me, they truly are. I put these stickers on a white sheet of card stock and then cut them out and popped them with dimensionals.

The card stock is Cricut™ and Recollections™ and the yellow design paper is K&Co.

I used the Swiss Dots Emboss Folder™ to emboss the little dots on the green layer. I finished it off with some Jillybean Soup ribbon that I picked up at Torendi™ and some doodling with a white gel pen. I have to say, I think this is one of the best bows I have ever done.

I used my new Glue Glider Pro™ with perma-tac™ for everything but the bow which is a separate piece and I stuck one of their Extreme Adhesive Squares™ behind it - I think I'm in love with those things!

Okay, this is my second post of the day so scroll down for the previous one. Tomorrow I will have a project done with images from Whoopi Daisy here and over at the Cuttlebug Challenge.

I am getting really excited for the blog hop that is coming up October 1-3. I have an awesome prize to give away so be sure to sign up as a follower and come back or just put it on your calendars! :)

EAD Designs, Peachy Keen, AND Digital Delights Challenges!

EAD Designs was having a color challenge and the theme was Farmer's Market - who doesn't love a good Farmer's Market?
Peachy Keen Stamps is having a color AND sketch challenge.
Since their colors were very similar, I decided to enter this in both! :)
BONUS! My good friend Wanda (HUGGLES) is now a member of the challenge DT over at Digital Delight's Delightful Challenge and this week you have to use a pumpkin. Done and done! :)

Here is the color combo/inspiration piece for EAD Designs:

Here is the sketch/color combo for PKS we had to work with:

Here is my card:

I think EAD will forgive me if I couldn't fit the cranberry in as I tried and tried, but I did get the pumpkins from the "farmer's market" aspect. :)

I welded a rectangle to the pumpkins on my Gypsy™ and hid the holes in the pumpkins for the background. Then I cut just the pumpkin border again with the holes in orange. I embossed the blue background piece with the Leafy Branch Emboss Folder™. Next I cut the layers and the sentiment is stamped with My Pink Stamper: Winter Punnies™ set. I popped the sentiment, added ribbon, tied it through a button, and added some Glossy Accents™ and Hero Arts™ adhesive gems.

Recipe:
Paper: Bazzill™, Core'dinations™, DCWV Home stack™
Cartridges: Gypsy Wanderings™
Embossing: A2 Leafy Branch Emboss Folder™
Sentiment: My Pink Stamper: Winter Punnies™ set
Ribbon
Glossy Accents™
Buttons
Hero Arts™ adhesive gems

Thanks for viewing today! :) The October blog hop is coming up from Oct 1-3rd. I will have some great talent joining me and some fabulous prizes to give away... I just have to decide if I want to break them up or make it one fabulous prize. What do you think? :) The blog hop participants and order is up on the top left side of my home page. Enjoy your weekend!

OTWC#18, WMC#16, PKS#34, CricutCardzChallenge#36

I love this card! I think it came out SO cute! I think that's probably bad to say about one's own cards, but sometimes you just like them. I hope you do too!

I made this from the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #34 sketch. Sketches do tend to make one's life easier and that combined with a color challenge at Off The Wall Craftiness made this a perfect card to make while watching a movie.

I am currently addicted to the chip board I got over at Torendi so I had to add that chipboard heart.

This card is so front loaded with materials and pop dots that it almost falls over towards the front when standing up! Do they make weights to put on the back of your cards in case of excessive embellishment-ing? haha.

Recipe:
A2 sized card
Paper: DCVW, K&Co.
Cartridge: Elegant Cakes™ (border, double sided and welded in Gypsy™), Wild Card™ (rectangles and circles)
Embossing: A2 Leafy Branch Emboss Folder™
Ribbon

This card therefore qualifies for the following challenges:
Off The Wall Craftiness #18: Navy blue, white, and yellow

Peachy Keen Stamps #34: Sketch

Wee Memories: Chipboard
Cricut Cardz Challenge #36: Birthday card for a teenager - I thought this would make a cute sweet 16!

OTWC#17, PKSC#33, and FC#20 Baby Card!

Baby Card!

I made this in the middle of the Christmas extravaganza for two reasons:
1. The challenges were ending
2. I needed a break from green and red

So This card may be a little over the top, but I love it! My best friend Kourtni gave me a cartridge on my birthday that wasn't at the top of my list, so she graciously let me exchange it and it came today - Tie the Knot™. So of course I ripped it open and made this card!

Recipe:
Paper: Cricut
Cartridge: Tie the Knot
Embossing: Swiss Dots
Ribbon
Doodling

This is for three challenges:
Peachy Keen Stamps: Sketch #33

Off the Wall Craftiness: Raspberry, bright blue, and purple

Fantabulous Cricut: Cricut cut animal

OTWC#13 and Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge #31

This card was made using the Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge sketch:

and with the inspiration photo from Off the Wall Craftiness:

The challenge at Off the Wall Craftiness was to use the colors from the inspiration: pinks and blues.

I had a great time making this card. The paper is from K and Company, placed onto kraft card stock. I cut out the images from the Storybook Cartridge™ and made the shadow circle bigger so that it would suffice for the sketch challenge. I used my flower punch to cut out the background for the buttons, stamped it with the Hero Arts™ stamps CL272 set, added some ribbon, and glued it all on! :)

I hope you like it!
