Long Leggedy Beasties...

All Hallows Eve is coming up quickly...time for ghosties and ghoulies and things that go bump in the night. Lately, around here it's been the long leggedy beasties we've had to worry about.

Don't know if it was the earthquake 2 weeks ago or Irene or the week long buckets of rain drenching the east coast, or maybe a combination of all of three, but those spiders are growing pretty big around here.

This lovely creation fills the door frame going out the laundry room to the backyard. It spans the entire width of the door and is almost four feet tall. Definitely not an Itsy Bitsy Spider... Thank goodness it didn't reach the floor or Lucy could have been the beastie's breakfast.

This amazing iridescent piece of art is on our porch. Just love the way the web has a purple tint to it. Maybe this guy is a Ravens Fan.

Just hoping the Beasties stay outside.

Gettin' Ready for Halloweenie

I've started thinking about new items for Halloween, Autumn and Christmas...I know it's still early but I need to think ahead for the next season. I can remember when I was a visual merchandiser for a local department store, by the 4th of July we had back to school merchandise out. The beginning of September we were starting little by little to add Christmas decorations and by the middle of October the displays were fully Christmas. Then we couldn't leave the store on Christmas Eve until every piece of tinsel down and put away.
The Witchie Witchie sign is definitely for Halloween decorating.

The Spider sign can be used all year long (certainly if you are afraid of spiders).
I got the idea for the spider saying while watching Ghost Hunters on tv. One of the members of the group is deathy afraid of spiders. He's not afraid of the supernatural, but is afraid of spiders!

I'll be adding Fall and Winter merchandise to the website in the upcoming weeks.

The Witch Is In...

I've been working on some new designs for fall and of course witchy thoughts come to mind.
Is this because I'm working with what I know?
Better ask the Hubby...although the one sign is a tribute to he who can fix anything.
I'll have to see if he can make my broom soar.

The Gypsy Witch...

I am trying ever so hard to get myself geared up for fall shows. But with my new grandbaby and the upcoming wedding of my darling daughter, I've not been too successful.

This is one of my new signs for the fall. If you ask my youngest daughter, she would probably tell you it describes me. Whenever she did something she wasn't supposed to do while in her teens, I always knew. This really has nothing to do with fortune telling or esp. It has to do with always knowing her friends and their parents and being in the right place at the right time. But it mostly has to do with knowing your child and being involved in their lives. When told by a friend, "Your Mother will never find out" she replied, "My Mother finds out everything."
