Trash Mix with Worms

16 oz. pkg. pretzels
12z. pkg. caramel popcorn with cashews
15 oz. pkg. M&M's
12 oz. pkg. gummy worms
15 oz. pkg. banana chips
15 oz. pkg. dried mango
15 oz. pkg. dried pineapple

Stir together all ingredients. Store in airtight container.
*I didn't add all the dried fruit to mine. Also, I couldn't find enough sour gummy worms, so I used some sour gummy bears too and called them mummies.

Candied Popcorn
Candied Popcorn
16-18 Cups Popped Popcorn (unflavored, unsalted)
1 14-oz. Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 3-oz. box Jello--flavor of your choice
----------
Preheat oven to 250°. Place Popcorn in a large, clean paper grocery bag and set aside.
Mix the Sweetened Condensed Milk and the Jello in a small saucepan; heat over medium heat until the Jello is dissolved, stirring often. Watch carefully, as this can scorch! When the Jello has fully dissolved, pour over the Popcorn and still well until all Popcorn is evenly coated. Transfer Popcorn to a large, deep roaster which has been well coated with butter or non-stick spray (I use a deep foil lasagna pan).
Bake on the lowest oven rack for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Watch carefully; if the oven runs too hot or if the Popcorn is too close the element, it can scorch.
Turn out the baked Popcorn onto a sheet of foil which has been well coated with non-stick spray. Enjoy when cool. Store in a tightly sealed container.

Holiday Divinity
My mom called, and she wants her cookbook back! I borrowed it before Christmas because I wanted to make Divinity. It was so good! I must warn you, this should not be made with a hand held electric mixer. When we made it, we burned the motor out on my mother in-laws mixer. We made a few more batches, but made sure to use the heavy duty Kitchen-Aid.
Divinity
3 cups sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water
Dash of salt
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup chopped nuts
---------
Boil sugar, syrup, water, and salt to hard ball stage or 250° on candy thermometer. Remove form heat; pour slowly over egg whites, beating constantly, until mixture has dull appearance (2 beater mixer - about 7 minutes;Kitchen-Aid - about 7 minutes). Fold in vanilla and nuts. Drop by spoonful on waxed paper-lined tray (as fast as you can).
Pull the eggs out a few hours before making this recipe. They will work better if they are at room temperature.
